So glad to see it restored to its former glory. This hotel is a gem. Enjoyed evening firepit outside and live music inside too. Spent time chilling in the porch rockers and doing puzzles in the lounge.

Was at the Omni in Bedford Springs on business. Stunning location, even in February. I wish I would have had more time to explore the grounds! The hotel itself was very well maintained. It had a beautiful colonial aesthetic while still having modern comforts like spacious rooms, tall ceilings, and wide hallways. The rooms did show their age a bit in the bathrooms, but not to the point that it made my stay unenjoyable. Given that the hotel is organized horizontally instead of vertically, be prepared to walk if your room is at the edge. Overall though a lovely stay, and I hope I have more time to explore the area next time!

WARNING, they’ve gone downhill! I have been to the spa three times before my last stay over this past weekend and it has always been good. this past time made me cancel my next treatment I had set for May. i drive from hours away to spend a full day at the spa then get a $350 massage at the end. when i arrived they told me they no longer grant access unless it’s 2 hours before your treatment due to over capacity. I was never made aware of this policy change beforehand?? two hours is barely anytime to enjoy all they offer. I had to sit around for hours before i could enter and they did NOTHING to accommodate their lack of communication. If you are over capacity maybe you shouldn’t over book yourself as I work in this industry and understand it’s on you for allowing so many people ruining the experience. When i finally checked in we were told the spa and lounge area is to be kept to a whisper (as it should be it’s a spa) When we entered people were talking at full volume in large groups being extremely loud and disruptive and NO ONE said anything. It was anything but relaxing. When we moved to the lounge area IT WAS THE SAME THING! Loud people talking at full volume. You could tell other guests were frustrated as well. I don’t blame them! so not only was i cut to only 2 hrs which is nothing you also allow people to be disruptive. Then.. i paid a large amount for a 75 min hot stone massage just for the girl to not even use them. My husband left a review about his poor experience and they told him they don’t “restrict access” when you book a treatment which is a lie because they literally did that to me. makes me so incredibly sad to of had this experience when this used to be my escape every few months that i waited for!

They used to allow people to relax, now they keep you out. Even if you are a paying customer. Terrible experience. My wife works extremely hard and needed to relax, but they ruined her weekend. So pathetic and rude. Dear Omni, please do not waste my time with your generic response. Provide me with a real phone number if you are interested in hearing what truly occurred. Your staff told my wife she could NOT enter the facility due to it being a weekend. CUSTOMERS BEWARE. This place is a trap. She will never be going back there. Pathetic omni, I am so disappointed in you

Don't come here. They changed their policy and keep out regular, paying, repeat customers. Terrible customer service and terrible experience all around. Omni has reached out with a generic, AI response that they have replied to multiple messages. Quit lying Omni. Your staff said my family could not access any of these amenities on the day of our appointments. You didn't even try to locate my reservation. I assure you, it is there. Huge waste of money. Do not support and do not trust this business

Service is the start here. All staff we came into contact were friends, outgoing, helpful and accommodating. The great food and beautiful location and accommodations are just a bonus, as is the magnificent spa.

Such a fantastic girls weekend getaway. Spa food room and service all exemplary. Its my 5th trip to "the springs" it never disappoints. Highly recommend.

Overall, we had a great stay at the Omni Bedford, especially the Spa. The only reason for our 3/5 stars was because our room wasn’t clean when we entered. We called to the front desk and asked them to please send housekeeping and when they did, they didn’t clean anything. Everything was covered in a thick layer of dust, there was a used dirty washcloth in the shower, the back of the toilet wasn’t cleaned, and there were food and crumbs on our floor from the previous occupant. We ate dinner at the Crystal room, way over priced for what you receive. Unfortunately, my braised short ribs were very dried out and my husband’s halibut lacked salt. With that being said, the atmosphere was beautiful and our server, Ashleigh, was wonderful. The coffee shop was cute and we enjoyed our latte’s and the service was great. In the evening they had live music and a lounge bar that was very enjoyable! Something nice to do for the Cold months when we’re stuck inside. The Spa was beautiful and we had a great experience. Would definitely return to use the Spa!

Solid 4 stars and probably 4.5. The hiking trail near the hotel is well maintained. The swimming pool is very busy especially with kids throwing balls. The floors make some noises but overall sleeping time is quiet. You do feel the room is antiqued but comfortable enough. Love the dining at tallies and tavern but other places are way too overpriced.

Great Resort and fun options all around. Had a great time with the family and there is lots to do. We came for New Years and the day after they said that they didn’t anticipate the right amount of people that were going to be at the resort, this led to the restaurants feeling understaffed but the workers were still very nice and accommodating and did good for the situation they were in. Maybe a little better management ahead of time could be the fix, or simply making sure to keep people happy while food or anything else is going on. Also, I would love to shout out two workers for their exceptional service over the trip, Claire who was a waitress at the tavern where she did a great job for the lots of people and kitchen problems that were going on and she also helped us after close to obtain a coat that someone in our party had left. On the other hand, Isaac from the front desk did a great job handling and solving problems for other customers who were sometimes hard to deal with. Overall great time and good environment to make your own fun.

The hospitality was nothing short of wonderful, with the staff going out of their way to make us feel cared for. Thank you for accommodating our request and being understanding with us. We look forward to returning to this magical place in the future.

First, I’ll start with the good stuff. The building and Christmas decorations were pretty. The valet service team was incredible and extremely kind. And the staff with Tally Ho were also extremely kind and helpful. After that, everything is more in line with a 3 star hotel and it’s asinine that this place is as expensive as it is for the quality of service and amenities that they offer. The entire downstairs is covered in people’s trash and crumbs from food and none of the staff seem to be responsible for cleaning in between people. This leads to people sitting on the dirty crumbs and around the trash of other guests all day long. Nothing is ever picked up unless you directly point it out to someone. My husband and I made a game of how long the trash and crumbs on the floor in the main elevator would be there before someone cleaned it up…2 full days. The place does have what looks like a decent selection of restaurants, but it’s really all the same processed food rebranded to be more expensive depending which restaurant you pick. You’ll leave feeling like you ate McDonald’s three times a day no matter which restaurant you pick. The guests around you will also be rude. The people next to us left their dogs barking in their room for hours and the grown men across from us decided to have a ball game down the length of the hallway like children. The place also didn’t have enough staff to offer half of the activities they offer on their website. So it honestly felt like we were scammed. Every time we tried to book something, we were told there was none available. Now the Spa…the place is very pretty and I’m sure if you actually get to experience it, it’s nice. We however did not after 3 attempts of trying. Our first try, we were met with a very rude front desk person who spent more time telling us how luxurious their spa was than they did trying to help us. We walked out and booked what we wanted online with no issues after she said there was nothing available. Not sure what was going on there. After that they did call us to move our appointments up because they had a cancellation so we did. When we got there they didn’t have anyone who could perform ANY kind of pregnancy safe massages. We said we would take any procedure but apparently the person assigned to us could only do one type of massage from the huge list they offer and it was not pregnancy safe. They asked us to again move our appointment later in the day to accommodate them when a different staff member would be available. This is after letting us enter the spa, get undressed and changed and wait for 30 minutes before they decided to inform us of this. A complete waste of our time, and again if the place was 3 stars at $300 a night I would understand. But for what they charge you to be here, our entire experience this weekend was laughable bad. This was supposed to be a celebration of our pregnancy but we ended up leaving more stressed and tired than when we arrived. I will say, after all that happened and we were on our way out, a very sweet woman at the Spa desk, did ask if we wanted to speak to a manager. We did decline because I believe you shouldn’t have to do that when you’re supposed to be dealing with adults and professionals. Oh and the beds and pillows feel like they haven’t been replaced since 2002, so you’ll also really need that massage to heal after the awful sleep you’ll get. The bathrooms and hallways do not have central heat or air, so you have to turn on the provided portable heater to not completely freeze every time you use the bathroom and you have to carry your coat everywhere indoors to be somewhat comfortable. Again if this place was closer to $300/$400 a night the experience would be justified, but for double that, it was laughably bad. To compare, we stayed at a brand new 5 star resort and hotel in a full suite in Vegas earlier this year for a fraction of what we paid here. Spend your money elsewhere if you’re looking for a quality relaxing experience.

Cool historic hotel but not worth the price. I've stayed all over the world and for the cost I've never had a hotel have portable heaters to heat parts of the hotel. Showers dont have any pressure. The staff is friendly and the food and drinks are great. The hotel is very pretty and has some neat history.

I can't speak on the rooms or service, really. We live local, so we weren't staying there. My daughter and I went for the Grand Illumination. The way the Springs was decorated with lights was beautiful! We didn't go when it started, but there were different activities for the kids, which my daughter really enjoyed. We will definitely be going again!

Not a place for an afternoon coffee break! A latte - perhaps $8 or so was served in an old short Homer Laughlin coffee cup with no underlying saucer. I do not expect even the most basic foam design but would like it hot. Our kind server Missy said that they no longer have saucers for service leaving us to deal with coffee spilling over the edge onto the table. We had to ansk for spoons for our coffee too. Expect more at upscale resort. The lemon raspberry cake was exceptional and big enough for two to share. Note to manager - the Fiesta outlet in WV has bins full of inexpensive Homer Laughlin service wear. Sure you could find better mugs/cups/saucers. UPDATE I was just at the Fiesta outlet and as mentioned there are pleantbof matching saucers that are extremely inexpensive. I’m sure a good bargain could be negotiated.

Talk about a hidden gem! Fantastic food at all locations. Drinks were top notch. Rooms are cozy and quiet. We came the week before Thanksgiving and it was quiet which was nice.

Bedford Springs Resort is an awesome place! If you live locally, make the drive. If you live further away, consider this as your next resort vacation. Amazing food, fantastic amenities, incredible service, and historic ambience; past presidents have stayed here. It's only about 2 hours from Pittsburgh and 3 hours from Philadelphia, so if you want to see other US cities, it has a great/convenient location. Even more stunning during the holidays. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

The company I work for an anniversary party. The staff was friendly and the service was great! It was clean and beautiful. I did not stay in a room but I imagine that they are beautiful. I saw that there were activities around the hotel such as a community puzzle and tables with games. They had beautiful Christmas trees inside the hotel and it was decorated beautifully for Christmas. We had live entertainment at the company party. There was live entertainment at the bar near the entrance as well.

This place is so great. Little places everywhere sit down reflect, read, play a game, work a puzzle. Great trails to Walk. Great golf course. History everywhere you look. Will definitely go back. The people are there to meet your every need with a smile. They also have a coffee shop, several restaurants, and a gift shop. Like a little village. And a large heated pool with great atmosphere. Can't say enough about how we enjoyed this place.

This is a beautiful hotel, with great service and amenities. There is no better place for a Autumn trip in Pennsylvania. Not only can you find great places to explore ont the grounds of the hotel itself. But it also is near to some great other places to explore, including the town of Bedford and it's environs

I stayed at Bedford Springs as part of a three-day work conference and I loved every minute of it. The rural grounds and setting are charming (don’t worry, there’s great cell service and fast WiFi) which was made ever more so by the holiday decorations which were being installed this week. The rooms and bathrooms all have high-quality fixtures and beautiful finishes - marble floors and vanities, deep carpeting, etc. There are many common areas to explore and relax, and the indoor pool is magical. I’d recommend purchasing a day-pass to use the baths and relaxation lounge in the spa wing of the resort; it’s especially inviting during the colder months. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the conference facilities were more than adequate.

Bedford Springs is a beautiful resort. A very easy drive from Pittsburgh! The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The food is incredible! I ate dinner at The Crystal Room and 1796 and the meals were very generous, cooked perfectly, and delicious. I walked the Heritage Trail and thoroughly enjoyed the Serenity Spa Treatment. And, I enjoyed an Amaro sitting by the fire!

Beautiful “throw back” resort that still meets every standard of a class 1 destination. Staff is genuinely helpful and courteous, the restaurants are excellent and the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. I don’t golf myself but I’m told the course is top-notch as well.

We loved the pool. Want to go back to explore more the area. Met interesting people at the firepit. Best steak ever in 1796. Justin at lobby bar is a gem.

We stayed at the Omni for the Columbus Day holiday weekend and absolutely loved it. From the moment we arrived, everyone — from the valet to the recreation team and beyond — was so kind, respectful, and friendly. You can really tell the staff care about the guests. One of the things that stood out the most was how full of history the hotel is. Every corner seems to have its own story, and it was so fun walking around and discovering all the little details and historic charm throughout the property. Our trip had two main highlights: the indoor pool and the spa. We spent a lot of time enjoying both. The pool area was so relaxing, and the massage we got at the spa was absolutely perfect, one of the best we’ve ever had! The spa itself was spotless and beautifully maintained. We also tried two of the restaurants on-site, Tillie’s at the Clubhouse and the Frontier Tavern, and both were wonderful. The food was delicious, the atmosphere cozy, and we really enjoyed every meal. Outside the hotel, we also found two local gems worth mentioning: UpTown Café & Bakery and Horn O Plenty. Both were amazing and definitely worth checking out if you have some extra time. Overall, we had such a great experience at the Omni. The combination of friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere, and rich history made our stay really special. We’ll definitely be coming back again, we had a blast! ? Big thanks to everyone at the Omni for making our weekend so memorable. ❤️

Here for a bachelorette weekend. I am so impressed with the staff and their effort to make this a beautiful weekend. They have been so generous - with complimentary drinks, chocolates and champagne to our rooms free of charge, just wonderful and welcoming people. The spa was incredible and our dinner at Crystal room was perfect thanks to our waiter Stephen who is kind and funny and just the best. I love this resort and will be back soon. We had the most wonderful weekend!

The staff is probably the best I have ever encountered: friendly, helpful, accommodating. Resort is in a beautiful area surrounded by hills and gorgeous trees. Spa was expensive with an added $76. fee, but one of best massages I've ever had. I did notice what looked like black mold on the floor of the soaking tub, however. Tea, nuts and fruit was a nice touch in the relaxing area.

We stayed for our honeymoon. The service was great all around. The rooms are a little dated, but that is alright. The Spa and Restaurants are amazing. On the night of our second night, we noticed a cockroach in our room. We had 1 in the bathroom, and decided maybe we would just deal with it the next morning. But then we heard clicking, and it was an additional one on the trim above our heads in the room. We decided to leave in the middle of the night, and only received refunds for the night after. When we pay $500 a night for a resort hotel, we expected a little more, and when roaches were found where we are sleeping, we expected at least a refund for the night we left. Maybe changing rooms would be an option, but it doesn't make me feel clean to go to another room knowing what was in ours.

Positive: "" Negative: Restaurant choices were poor, need a new restaurant on premises
Aug 18, 2025 -
Off to a horrible start by waiting an hour & a half for checking in + another 30 minutes to get our luggage to the room. Ridiculous & zero communication. The room was spacious but very dated, as in run down not quaint. The door to the balcony was so tight that we just left it ajar in case the whole thing came off. Huge crack in the bathroom floor & generally the place needed a good deep clean. At this price point, again, unacceptable. The grounds are nice & spacious but lawn crews before 8am mean there's no vacation lay in. The indoor pool was nice but another place that needs sprucing up. The outdoor pool was good but definitely should be twice the size, more for bobbing in than actually swimming. The restaurants are decent but should be at that price. The highlight was an ATV excursion up & down the mountain, super fun & with very helpful & informative staff. All in all it was a fun & nice time but could have been much better with minimal effort.
