Took my car in to get fixed from someone side swiping me. They fixed my door and color matched perfectly overall it was a good job done. I’m super happy with the outcome.
I was in my first car accident ever and it was my first time actually having to deal with my insurance for an incident which is extremely stressful. When it came time to do deal with getting my car fixed Katie and Kendra were absolutely amazing to work with! They were above and beyond friendly, talked me through everything, never made me feel like I was a bother, and answered any and all questions I had. I got my car back and you cannot even tell anything happened. I will be high recommending J & W carstar to anyone who needs it.
J&W was recommended to me after my Subi was in an accident. The staff were awesome from the start, and I felt valued as a customer. I was kept up to date consistently. They did a great job restoring my vehicle to pre accident condition.
Attempted to work with them, est. outta pocket they wanted to charge 4k. Insurance brought it down to just above 1k with their estimate. Major difference? It's cheaper to replace then to repair, I get it. Maybe. Tried calling front desk to still go through with Insurance, 3 times. Pick up, hanged up right away. All 3 times. Attempted Brian, straight to voice mail.
Within 5 mins I was able to make an appointment else where.
Very happy with the job J & W did fixing our truck. They were great communicating progress during the 3 weeks it took to order parts, make repairs, etc.. I never had to deal with rental car, or insurance folks , they took care of everything! Very professional!
They fixed a ding in my door. Ended up having my car 1 week longer than anticipated - but they were really great about covering a rental for me. And at the end, they gave a 10% for full cash payment.
J&W Carstar was amazing to work with. They treated my vehicle like a brand new one. Said it would be ready in 2 - 3 weeks and it was done in 1! Returned my car and inside and out was the best it's been in years.
I did not have a good experience using J&W CARSTAR. My car went in to have a dent and scratch removed. Pretty simple.
I had orange trim on my car wrapped in black and I explained this to them when I dropped my car off. I emphasized the fact that I did not want orange trim. When I arrived to pick up my car the trim was replaced and it was orange. They claim they didn’t know I wanted it black - although I dropped it off black and emphasized this when I dropped it off.
Furthermore, when I went to pay my bill, it was off by $500. However, when brought to their attention they were able to arbitrarily remove it. Shady.
I’ve used CARSTAR in the past. But it’s definitely not the same business it was when Roger Fowler owned it. I will not be back nor refer anyone in their direction.
The quality of the work was done good what was very unprofessional and unsatisfying was somebody went through my glove box took some things out of there, got back where my spare tire is and took something that was in there. Clearly clearly these spots were not needed to be touched for the work that was done, even it so the Employee had not right taken my suff. You should be able to trust your employees not to take things out of customers vehicles, And I was not told to take my valuables out of my car.
I had a relatively small job and the price was very fair. I had 3 other estimates and everyone else just wanted to replace- - J&W said they could repair, not replace!! Fast work and very courteous. Highly recommend.
I got in an accident that totaled my car and got it towed to J&W. They were amazing! Let me keep it there for 4 days before I could do anything with it and were extremely helpful when I went to clean it out. I asked about storage fees and they didn’t make me pay any for it sitting that long! Definitely will be taking my new car here if I ever need work done!
Anytime I had a question I wanted answered I very promptly got a response with both text and phone calls. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and their work is top notch (this is the second time in 20 years I’ve been very happy with the work J&W Carstar does.) They are impressively and seamlessly connected to both my insurance company and car rental company, which makes their service even more valuable.
These folks are amazing. They turned our car being sideswiped on the highway at 60 mph into a beautiful experience. Fortunately we weren’t injured. J&W Carstar took us in right away and totally turned our car into better than new in a short turn around time. Thanks to Brian and his team. They also set up the seamless rental car process. Fortunately this was all covered by insurance. I love these people ??
I want to begin by saying that J&W CARSTAR is absolutely the best!! They are not only fantastic at what they do but they really and truly appreciate their customers. I, unfortunately, have had to have auto body work done on my car twice. J&W CARSTAR exceeded my expectations both times. Their work and attention to detail is excellent.
That said, more importantly, the way they took care of me and made the experience painless was most appreciated. I will never go anywhere else and will recommend them to everyone. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
Kendra in the office is amazing! She communicated with me through the whole process. Even with a delay due to the manufacture on my bumper. My car was still done in a timely matter. Kendra though! She was so helpful with my pick up and drop off process with my work schedule. She really deserves a lot of praise. The service department is also great! My car came out cleaner then I dropped it off.
Well not the best of circumstances but J&W made the whole thing 1000% better. Mom backed into a car and trunk needed replaced. From the first interaction with them they went above and beyond! They got me in way sooner than expected, explained the process thoroughly. Dropped the car off they got it done it 16 days. When I went to pick up the car it looked brand new they buffed and waxed the entire car. When I got inside I noticed they had detailed the inside too! Talk about customer service and the car looks better than when I dropped it off. Couldn’t say one bad thing about this company and amazing ladies in the offices!
very impressed with every part of the service provided by J&W; from the friendly and prompt greeting in the lobby to the pick-up that took about 3 minutes (and they even finished early for me when I told them I had to leave town!). The text messages detailing progress were a nice touch. I can't recommend J&W enough. They didn't even hesitate when they saw that my car was an EV. Good job CARSTAR!

So glad to have my car back. But things didn’t go great after it was finally ready to pick up. It was a rocky re-entry that needed more care to get things back to natural.
A lot didn’t go well but over time J&W CarStar has made it right. And I appreciate that.

Great experience with J&W Carstar. They got my vehicle in quickly after an accident and kept me informed of their progress of the repairs throughout the process. Repairs were done quickly and my vehicle looks great! It was even lightly detailed inside and out. Very friendly staff when I picked up my car. Would definitely recommend this business!
Went into this feeling pretty nervous about the whole experience since I have never had cosmetic repairs done to a vehicle before. However.. i have nothing but good things to say about the work done on my car! The repairs were even completed a few days sooner than the original estimate. You can't even tell that my fender bender ever happened. Everything was handled by my insurance and the two very kind gals at the front desk. Thank you to the team at this location for making this experience much less stressful than I had anticipated. (Including before and after photos because I am so happy about it).
My experience is specifically from a State Farm customer that hit me. State Farm recommended this shop as it is in their network. The shop has high reviews, so I didn't doubt the process. This story is about my 91 Toyota Supra.
They provided an estimate quickly via email after taking a few photos of the car. State Farm approved the estimate, and it seemed like everything was running smoothly.
After that point, I didn't hear anything for a few weeks. I called State Farm and J&W repeatedly, but both said the other had not completed some part of the process. I think it was about six weeks before I found out that J&W added so much to the estimate that State Farm ruled it a total loss without talking to me at all. Brian with J&W told me that they are not capable of repairing this car, so they added a high supplemental cost to the estimate.
I had to find a new shop that was willing to do the repairs, and Brian assured me he wouldn't charge me storage fees while I found a new shop. He recommended another place in town which has been a much better experience so far.
When I finally came to pick up the car, I found that it was parked out front in the non-secured parking lots with a lot of the parts removed. The trunk was filling with rain water, and the car was left unlocked. Someone had stolen the battery out of the car while it was on their property. Luckily they didn't steal the very expensive ECU out of the glove box. When I went to confront Brian about what I found, I only had employees telling me he wasn't available to talk. Maybe that's true, but I just wanted one face-to-face conversation to talk about how unprofessional they have been through this whole process. At least an apology.
They did ship me a new battery, and the car is officially being fixed at a quality shop with good people.
It took me three months to fix the situation that J&W put me in. I had to fight with State Farm to reverse their decision to consider this car a total loss based on J&W's estimate. My car was in worse shape after letting them handle it, and they got paid by State Farm for the tear down work on the estimate.
Seems like a lot of people have a good experience with J&W. I was not one of them. If you have an uncommon or rare car that is hard to find parts for, this is not the shop for you. Find a shop in town who is passionate about fixing custom cars. This place is more suited for repairs on mass produced, modern cars.
This was the place I found through Honda Dealership site as they're referral. I
chosed this location based on it's most high reviews. I sure regret it though. My husband and I were stressed due to our car was hit by an uninsured motorist and our Insurance covered the cost to have it done...however, this place did not communicate from day one even after requesting for transparency throughout the work of the car for over 30 day of our rental agreement with our insurance. Jeff the rep was not a good service guy that did our car. Hardly no communication and we were pretty much stressed out along the way of the process because the car wasn't done right the 1st time.
1.) Water damaged to the back seat
2.) Rock molder was scratched and wasn't fixed, was just put back on to our car.
3.) A teal colored paint like scratch was stained to the front side bumper of our car...to our New champagne gold New Honda Accord. Not sure why that had happened. I complained and sent my before and after photos of our car to Jessica/Receptionist personal cell phone in order for the Manager Brian to see...said they needed to get the car back to have it fixed for a couple of days. Needless to say, they covered the rental agreement for almost a week that they needed to correct the car and 2 out of 3 of the request were fixed. Found out that the same Jeff Rep. and Brian the Manager were fixing our car to make it right the 2nd time. We were told that we'd be expecting a call to inform us if the car would be done and ready to be picked up but unfortunately, there was no call. I called Saturday at 10am to ask and Jeff answered. Said the car is ready outside and that they will be closed at 12pm noon. His response was his Manager had told us...my response to Jeff was your Manager informed us that we were supposed to receive a call from you. Needless to say...that said we are glad that the car was corrected amidst the stress of the outcome we were worried that it might not. "Don't want to deal with that...ever again."
