Don’t come here. Go to Newberg! (it’s cheaper and they are nice). When you pay 500 dollars to throw away garbage you would expect a good service. The employee driving the dozer was rude as hell. I go to dump my garbage in my dump truck and the guy got his panties in a bunch because someones trailer died. It happens. The guy leaves and it’s my turn to dump. I went outside to check if my load got stuck and he was beeping at me and told me to get the hell out of the way while beeping profusely. Once I got out of there to close my doors he started screaming. Do not come here go to NEWBERG

Closed because of a tiny bit of snow, WTH? Also, they are ripping people off on prices! In one day three trips to the dump with same material each time they charged astronomical price difference between the trips. That’s how we can tell the public they are ripping YOU AND I OFF!!!

Nothing but bums, closed 20 minutes early. Just lazy and bummy. If you're going to close at 430 and not 5 it should say that on your "business hours", that way I don't rush in from 20 minutes away with a truck load of garbage, that I now have to haul back home, and haul it back out and cross my fingers that they're even open during their posted business hours. Incredibly frustrating. Somebody should be fired for this.

Terrible customer service. At 2:00 pm on 31 December, I tried to call to ask a question. I punched #2 to speak with someone. All I got was music. No "We'll be with you shortly," or "Your call is important to us," or "Sorry, we've closed early because its early afternoon on New Year's Eve." Just the overly loud music. Thnx.

$24 for 1 cubic feet is so outrageous. $45 to dump an air conditioner is quite extreme, whether the unit is working or not. I'm not sure if this price structure is set by the city or the facility, but when other dumps charge by the weight, you can't possible expect people to utilize your location, and are really asking for people to illegally dump in other parts of the town. The 1 star is for a friendly service inside the dumping area. Not the unhappy gate access ladies, but I'm sure that with those prices, they have their work cut out for them with sticker shocked visitors giving them an earful of how this place is a rip off.

This is by far the worst garbage company I have ever had to deal with in my life. They repeatedly pass my garbage can and don't pick it up. When I call I sit on hold for an hour or more and finally give up waiting for someone to answer. They literally never answer their phone. They are the only option for garbage pick up in the area so apparently they can do whatever they want and provide absolutely no customer service and charge me full price every month without even providing the service I am paying for. I'm putting in a complaint with the BBB but I don't really know what else I can do. I am so beyond frustrated with this company and they should be allowed to run like this.

They charge to much to dump stuff . One employee there said I have a 7 yard trailer and wanted to charge me 216 . I have one of lowes small trailers . They are a joke there no wonder people dump stuff on side of roads. What a joke

The people that work there are all quite nice to do business with, they have almost everything you need for landscaping, they take metals, cardboard, yard clippings, pretty convenient

This is a great resource for locals to drop off recyclables and more. The service was friendly at the entrance booth, but it's usually hard to find someone in the miscellaneous recyclables drop off area, though there's plenty of signage. We regularly utilize the free used motor oil drop off.

Expensive! $22 a cubic yard! Salem Keizer transfer center charges $25 for up to 400lbs! Todays dump run cost $130! It wouldn’t have been more than $25 elsewhere

Your person that man’s your gate and estimates the size of your load . Likes to charge me twist as much . She said $60 dollars for my trailer then came back and said it would be an additional $60 dollars and charge my card again . Then my girlfriend went and she only took cash , that time so is this the way Recology likes to run business? People be aware of what they charge ….

We are very impressed by Recolgy in McMinnville. They have been so helpful as we tackled a big landscaping project at our home. Jacob has helped us with rock and bark chips on multiple visits. He goes above and beyond with a friendly smile each time. Thank you Recology!

The compost is full of little pieces of plastic, lots of it, along with bits of metal, wire, glass, and I’m spending a lot of time picking the stuff out of “organic” compost. I had a yard and a half put on my organic community garden space and was assured there wasn’t any plastic or other debris in it. You can really see it after you put it on your garden and then after it rains, look closely and you’ll be shocked, if you care. The picture is the pile I saved as I went along last year. Have started a new pile this year and am very disappointed in their product and will never get compost from that company again. Especially for a vegetable garden.

Website says closed at 5:30 pm all the signs still have 5:30 pm all over the fences and entrance and exit. Went in to drop off a whole truck of recycle. Gate was still open they said they close early now and website hasn't been updated. We asked if they would make exception since we in there already and haven't closed the gates. "Employee said well you have to pay" and I replied that it was all recycle, next thing he said was we are closed. All the recycle became garbage since it rained later that day. Poor service & overpriced!

Oh, WOW, where to start! I've been a customer for compost for many years. It's a bit hit or miss as it comes from yard debris and occasionally has a bit of plastic in it; but I don't hold that against them (maybe the people that have garbage mixed in with their lawn debris though!) Now that Riverbend is closed, I bring my dump loads and recycling here too. The employees have always been super nice and helpful, the gal at the entrance and the gals in the compost are are my faves! Every time I've asked a question, it has been quickly answered. Their employees seem to really care about the environment and their customers.

I needed to clean out my garage. I am a senior citizen who's family left her too much stuff to save. So I rented a U-haul. A 10 ft. box van. Managed to get it all loaded up and drove it to the transfer station on Orchard Ave. Lots of folks had the same idea, so when I finally got my turn in the que I was pretty tired! The gal that tells you what the price will be asked me what I had in the truck. I told her that it was garage garbage. She stepped back, squinted at the box and told me that I owed her $245. I was in shock, but didn't know what else I could do. I didn't have the energy to drive it back home and load it all back into my garage. So I paid it with my limited income. I don't believe that this was fair. She didn't look at the load. The last time I took a load to the dump it cost me $30! I will overload my trash carts now. The men who were monitoring and helping the unloading were very nice. I appreciated the tidiness of the place.

Great folks that work here. It was the first time I had brought recycling there so I waited in line to speak with the attendant. He was very kind, friendly, and well-spoken. He let me know in the future, if I have recycling to turn right at the pay station and go around to the opposite side of the building, all the way to the end. Spot on. Great operation they have going here with material reclamation.

Since this has become the area transfer station for garbage, I have had nothing but great service. For it being a semi last minute, figure it out quick situation, I am very happy with it. I am charged according to what I have. My 4x8 trailer cost $15 and a mini fridge coat $25. Beds and bbroken down furniture were in my trailer and still only paid the $15. All employees have been nice and answered any questions. Different areas are for different products. I have been there 4 times in the past month and get the same service everytime.

I appreciate having somewhere in town to drop off recycling and scrap metal, etc. Employees are *usually* friendly and helpful. The Recovery Zone has rerouted their recycling & garbage drop-off traffic route, and there's no signage. Today the lady at the gate gave me the wrong directions and I had to go around the block again and get back in line, which was longer than the first time. At least by then someone else was working the gate and gave me accurate directions. A minor inconvenience, but made me late to my next stop.

I know it's been a few years, so maybe something have changed, but I was shocked to see so many 1 star ratings. There are numbers in between 1 and 5 that would be more accurate and appropriate, I would think based on severity of some of the issues. In any case, maybe they were attentive to the complaints because we have been really happy with Recology since moving here 3 years ago, particularly the drop off site where they take all of our yard debris for free, and according to my husband you can get a truck load of dirt or compost for next to nothing compared with any retail store. They also have woodchips and rock. Overall very happy with our experience. My husband cut down a couple of trees yesterday (and planted new ones in a better location) so he was over there 5-6 times lately. If people don't like the home service for their recycling, I'm pretty sure you can drop that off for free, too. I appreciate not having to do that, but if you want to save a few bucks or do it later in the day, it's there. I'd reccomend wearing the kind of clothes you don't mind getting dirty, as trash of any kind may get messy.

The local place in town to recycle your yard debris, and to get rock, compost or bark dust for your yard. Easy to get into and to get out. Quick service for the most part. Their delivery fees for in town are a bit steep though.

Recycling has always been very important to me, so the fact that the accumulated recyclable waste at my apartment building has not been collected since the end of September is disturbing. My fellow residents are avid recyclers as well, so the small bins that are emptied every two weeks fill up fast. I am not actually a customer (the owner of the building holds that distinction) but as a civic minded resident I felt it my responsibility to complain. Calls to the local recycling office (WOW) are never answered. I am interested in finding out how WOW can hope to encourage recycling in our town of McMinnville with such deplorable customer service. Meanwhile the trash piles up, and it looks disgusting.

Reviews are a place to give honest opinions about whatever you are reviewing. Every complaint is a viable review the company could and should utilize to improve customer service and relations. Unless you want to take your trash in yourself this company is not the best. However, there are no other options in the area unless you want to travel far to get rid of your trash. So enjoy.

This is the worst company I've ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Despite placing my cans in the correct location every week, the cans were never picked up going on 4 weeks straight now. I've called every week to state that there is an issue and I need the trash collected because I now have nowhere to store my trash but each week have been given ridiculous excuses as to why they have not been picked up, been told there is nothing they can do and been talked down to as if putting trash cans out on the side of a street is difficult enough to mess up. On my last call Julie (i think was her name) was flat out rude to the point of me finally cancelling service with This joke of a company. This company values their customers zero and treats them worse than the trash they refuse to pick up. If there was a rating of anything less than one star allowed that might be a low enough rating to rank this service. Do not pay these people a dime.

LOVE the workers on the work crew and at the office... They are always super nice, remember not only tht ur bill is due, but also the things tht make you feel important. The ppl there are real, honest, everyday normal ppl, trying to get the job done (and I'm sure have to put up with ALOT of bs. From many ppl) but they always seem to do so with a smile! GREAT JOB GUYS;

I went to get my garbage can from the curb today and I was shocked to find that they not only completely removed the garbage from the can but also stuffed it with brand new shirts and $100 bills. I called to see if there was some kind of mistake and was blown away with the best customer service I have ever received. Thank you WOW!

So I go to pick up my emptied garbage can, only to look down and see that my brand new shirt is covered in mechanical grease! It is all over the lid of my garbage can. I call the company. It came from the arms of a recently greased truck, they have no issue admitting that. Ask them to make amends for the shirt and the answer is just flat out tough luck lady. I guess when you have an exclusivity contract with the county you don't have to be responsible to your customers. I'm so tired of picking my can up out of the gutter after they've come and now I have to worry about them ruining my clothes too.. Customer care is severely lacking, not necessarily in the individuals but in the corporation as a whole.
