What a great service and great people at this shop! One of my family members was in Ohio and his car just stopped working. The battery was dead, so he was able to leave it charging and next day after testing one of the guys realized that the alternator was damaged, a new alternator was bought and installed while receiving great advice and recommendations. He doesn’t speak English at all but the stuff was very friendly and helpful! Very patient with him. Thanks a lot to all the team members, one of them was Mike. Well done guys you do a great job!

So I went to the Kent store this morning in search of a certain car wax that I've been having trouble finding. Collinite insulator wax is a wax that I've been using for years and Advance Auto Parts is the only place I can find it. When I walked in I was greeted by Kaylee, I didn't see the product I was looking for on the shelf so I explained it to her she knew exactly what it was. She was also aware that they had some in the back and it was very discounted as this is a product that they are not going to sell anymore. I think a lot of stores these days the clerk will just look at the computer and give you what I answer it says but she actually knew what was in the store and what was going on and the product that I was looking for. These are the things that set one store from the other and why I will come back. Thank you Kaylee

Service is always great. They’re friendly, give great advice and recommendations to fit your budget but still make sure you’re getting good and long lasting products. I’ve been coming here since I moved to Kent and they go above and beyond every time.

My fiance went in to get her headlight bulb changed and she didn’t know how to do it due to her having a different car and she asked for help and one of the guys there just shakes his head no and walks away, then the woman there that just got back from maternity leave ended up having to do it even after her not being comfortable to do it. What kind of man does that, I hope the guy sees this because next time if someone needs a light bulb changed I’ll be sure to make you do it….

I always order my parts online ahead of time for pickup at the store, and I am very pleased to say that the gentlemen working the evening shift on 11/12 have their stuff together. I called the store 10 minutes after ordering the part to ensure they had it, and the associate already had it pulled and ready. I promise you that this never happens at my local Advance Auto in Akron. Thank you for the great service!

Terrible customer service with no politeness or help offered when I asked about an engine and air filter. I recommend O'Reilly Auto Parts instead—they are much more knowledgeable and accommodating.

I went in on Tuesday because my battery seemed to be dying, and a great employee named Joe took great care of me. Joe tested my battery and charging system and confirmed my battery was toast and put in a new battery for me. Joe was super professional and inspired confidence. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Thanks Joe!

Nobody that works there knows what they are doing. Went to return a battery that went bad within warranty and that said it right on the battery and receipt and they wouldn't. They wanted me to let them keep the battery for 2 days so they could run some test to make sure it was bad. Ended up going to another advanced where they load tested it and gave me another battery. Another thing is you want to rent a tool from then you don't have forget it because the people that work there doesn't know what they rent out and don't want to help you

I used to always give my business to this location first. Not anymore. I came in for an ignition switch a few weeks ago and the employee refused to sell me one after telling me that I shouldn't be working on my own ignition switch and it needs to go back to the dealer. I then had a battery die on me. I called in to check the warranty. I was told it was still covered. I brought it in and again was told it was covered. There was an issue and the employee then decided to skip over me in line. After everyone else was taken care of, he attempted to complete my transaction. He then told me it was out of warranty and that "things change with batteries". I don't know how things change after purchase. Off to autozone I go.

The employees are so kind and they go above and beyond the call of duty to help customers. They not only helped me find products for a damaged battery (leaking battery acid) but also did complementary battery maintenance. Also, when online order was not going through, they did the cleaning with the products free of charge. Could not be more grateful for the kindness of this location. They have successfully converted me as a customer long-term, as I used to go to AutoZone, but now will go to Advanced Auto Parts! Well done guys you all do a great job!

Advanced was my auto store of choice, was. Spend quite a bit throughout the years, asked today 6-19-21 at 2pm to have my emissions codes checked because my engine check light is on... I was told they can do it but they wont provide me the codes or results. I asked what is the sense in scanning it then, told me I'd be better of taking it to a mechanic because they can scan it but not let me know what the readout is lol. Glad there is a lot of competition where I can spend my money...

Great service and help. Came in to get battery and starter tested. They were able to have the test sent back to my email and recommended which batteries to get. Their manager Brandy is very helpful and welcoming. Puts customers first!

Waited 15 minutes for diagnostic test only to find out that the guy that was supposed to give the diagnostics test left to go off site to another customer. I was told by the worker in the store that the off site customer was more important. I was a paying customer it wasn't like i was there for the free diagnostic. I will never do business with this Auto Zone again!

Bethe at store #5727... It was about an hour before closing I had just spent the day moving my daughter into her college apartment. It was a hot muggy day and I was very tired and ready to go home. I went out to start the car just to find out the battery had died. Was able to jumpstart it but knew that it was at the end of it span. I had work early the next morning and would not have time to replace the battery. Called several places and was given out rages quotes. My car is 20 years old I did not want to invest too much money. Called advance auto customer n Kent Ohio talk to Bethe. She did not give me the runaround she understood when I told her it was a 20-year-old car and I just needed an economy battery. She said they had one in stock and would even install it for me. That is exactly what she did. I came into the store she immediately came out test of the battery to be sure it was the battery and not possibly the alternator. She also found out that the battery had a hole in it and had been leaking sulfuric acid. She quickly installed the battery while the second technician completed the purchase. we were ready to go in a very short time. You cannot put a price on the appreciation I had for the service and talents that Bethe gave us that late afternoon.

The guys here hate their lives. I always end up waiting at least 5 minutes before I even find an employee to ask a question, or last time I was dropping off used oil, me and another customer waited 10 minutes and when the guy came up from the back (we were obviously making noise, talking about how nobody was there, even though we could hear him right behind the wall behind the counter), he acted as if he was shocked and seemed annoyed. This is the second time in a row I had a bad experience, I will be avoiding this place like the plague from now on.

I stopped into the shop after experiencing car trouble down the road. The employees (Ricky and Ron) were incredibly helpful and thorough when checking my car for problems, even though they knew the tests they were running may not lead to me purchasing anything from the store. I really appreciated their efforts and the friendly service.

We came by the exchange our brake pads because they new ones were categorized wrong. Rick and Rob went above and beyond to find the right ones, let me borrow their personal tools and matched he price on the correct ones even bought they were supposed to cost more. So helpful!
