I’m so beyond disappointed. I spent the early half of the spring getting all of the gross rock filled dirt out of my garden beds just to get 2 yards of gross rocked filled dirt dumped on my front lawn. This top soil is “cheap” bc it’s not top soil. It’s just rocky dirt. Also TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. Highly DO NOT recommend.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE: FACTS: 1) We ordered 12 yards of natural mulch for delivery ~5 days after order and person on phone was nice. 2) Got a call day before delivery, "One of our trucks broke down and we need to reschedule." They agreed to be first delivery out on Thursday said they should be at my house at 9:30 am. No problem, life happens. 3) Thursday 9:50 am I call to check and they say "yes, our driver is on his way" GREAT! 4) I call back 10:35 am: Is the driver lost? I'm sorry, we don't have enough of your mulch in stock for the delivery today and I don't know when we will have more of the mulch you ordered in stock. I HAD TO CALL THEM TO LEARN THIS!? AND You told me that the driver is ON HIS WAY! OH, and I was told he thought they were coming to me but he was on a different delivery...lol. Guess, I'm not first either. I will gladly pay more for mulch just for better customer service. As a 23-year military veteran, it's frustrating in the civilian world sometimes. Before I got off the phone, I told the person that I spoke with that I was writing a review.

Highly recommend. Working on my lawn, we ordered some topsoil and compost - Had a minor communication issue with the delivery but it was resolved quickly and with old school professionalism and integrity. Excellent business.

This place is not open till noon on Saturday I made it there by 11:30 am and the gate was closed i will never go back here again in less I absolutely have to

I will never do business with this company again. If you want topsoil with concrete in it, this is the place. If you want to have a truck with a working dump bed, this is not the place. If you want to receive past due invoices for product you didn’t order or have delivered, this is the place.

Definitely the best quality mulch I've ever purchased in my life. Everything was as promised. (Triple shredded). Very generous amount also. Would recommend and order from again in the future.

Dumped a load of tree limbs and wood. Cost 21.35, which isn't bad compared to other places.

They delivered the wrong product to the wrong place (six feet from where it should have gone -- see photos) and when I gave them the opportunity to fix it, they showed up with hand tools, moved a few shovels full and said, you can get out of your garage if you drive through the grass! Mulch on a gravel drive is NEVER a good idea! Update (2 months later): Last week they came to my door to "make it right," and they have. They repaired the damage done to my driveway. So I've changed this from a one-star to a three-star review.

We have used deans for years with no issues. First load this year was topsoil. It is NOTHING like their photo. I left message on their phone, attempted to send email but got rejection notice. This for $33 Edit: I have left a message but no one has returned my call or tried to make this right! Very disappointed!!!

I'm very happy with the topsoil / compost blend we purchased from Dean's Eco-Green Recycling. Rebekah was super over email and on the phone when I was asking questions and making the order. The delivery was scheduled, and the driver arrived on the appointed date. My husband was home to accept the delivery. He noted that the driver was unhappy with the amount of clay in the soil, so he left and returned promptly with a different load. The soil was dropped on our driveway with care: our daffodils and tulips were not harmed. ;) This was a great experience and I happily recommend Dean's to anyone looking for soil. (And the best news - it was more soil for cheaper and far less headache than another local soil provider!)

We were immensely displeased with the product from Dean’s. The customer service was subpar, as the delivery was almost an hour late, and no one called prior to delivery as was promised. The product we had delivered, which was a cubic yard of leaf compost, contained many shredded plastic bags, several pieces of wire, one over a yard long and another which looked more like an old bent bucket handle, and large hard clumps of clay. Absolutely terrible terrible product. Will use other services in the future, and strongly discourage anyone reading this review from attempting the services of Dean’s.
