Just had an awesome experience at this place. I’m not from the area and had a rental with a flat tire. Staff was very friendly and took care of us! Highly recommend !

They have always taken really good care of my vehicles. All maintenance and repairs. I now live over an hour away and I still bring my vehicles to them. They are a major asset to their community and the surrounding areas. Very kind and very trustworthy.

Hands down the best place and best people to work on your vehicles. Crystal is amazing and stays in touch with you throughout and even checks in on you afterwards via text or call to make sure that everything is satisfactory. I’ll never take my vehicles anywhere else as long as they’re here!

I've used Surf City Tire and Auto for routine maintenance, inspections, new tires, and a few flat tire issues. Every time has been nothing but great service. They are very accommodating (especially when it comes to unexpected flats) and do what is expected well. I've never felt like anything unnecessary has been suggested, they take care of their customers.

If you have any window tint at all they won't do your state inspection. Would have been nice to have been told this when making the appointment before taking time off work and driving two vehicles up there.

Good old fashioned Customer Service and Care. Reminded me of days gone by, before everything became big business. Diagnosed the sound my car was making at no cost. Repaired it same day & were genuinely concerned about my safety and accomodating my work schedule. Bill was $100 less than they quoted me. Recommend & will return!

Overall, my opinion of the shop is reasonably high. As far as I've heard from others, the overall work there is good. I have had good experiences with this business, but have had bad too. The bad is the alignment issues that I've had with them the past year. I had my truck aligned last February or March. I needed front tires before Christmas. I bought 2 more and had it aligned after I noticed inner rib wear (same spot as before). Got it aligned again in April. Fast forward 5 weeks, I got cords showing on the inner rib and need new tires again. Called and played phone tag for a week before getting an answer. I asked about the alignment machine's printer, and the fact that I never get a printout stating the alignment is true. I then asked the guy on the phone about the calibration and the last time the machine was checked for accuracy, and here came the himming and hawwwing. I took it to another shop, who were shocked the truck had been aligned recently and how far the toe was out on it, which caused the tires to wear just on the inner rib. When they showed me the print out, I was shocked. Also, the second shop found NO worn components in my front end, so they told me that my alignment was bad, even though all the adjusters were tight and did not look like they were forced out of place. I have been silent because I wanted to not believe it, but I have NO wear on my front tires as of now on the inner rib, or anywhere else for that matter. Please fix that alignment machine because I can't trust your shop for aligning anything I own anymore. Said vehicle is my black Suburban. Other than that, it's always been a pleasure to do business with your shop, but excessive tire costs is a deal breaker, especially in today's times, because in this case, it's completely preventable!

We’re a single auto household. Had a long nail in the tire sidewall. Surf City Tire quickly came to my rescue. Crystal, her sons & staff were terrific from start to finish. Love working with a local, family owned business. Wish I could give 6 stars?

Got a flat tire from a shard of glass while on vacation from Syracuse NY. Drove up and they patched it very quickly. Even torqued nuts and helped put spare tire up. Can’t give them enough positive reviews for not trying to screw me into buying a new tire. And very nice people. Definitely go if you have a problem

Came in today with a tire that needed plugged and had a great experience. I didn’t have an appointment since a flat tire was not planned lol but they were able to get me in right away. He plugged my tire and checked it to make sure there was no leaks since I drove on it a short way not realizing my tire was flat. I was completely taken care of and then some, all for a great price! I’m not from around here but I fully recommend this place!

Vacation saved! Had a minor freak out when my Jeep wouldn’t start. First day of a week vacation and it could have been easily ruined. Their service was professional, fast, and fairly priced. Highly recommend

5 Stars for quality workmanship and caring for their customers! While on vacation, we visited Surf City Tire and Auto for some critical repairs. Minutes after we arrived, they were already diagnosing the problem. They fixed my car being sensitive to our departure date, and my car is running great again! Crystal even texted us a couple days later to make sure we made it home safely! These guys are great! Highly recommended for professional car and customer care!

What a refreshing surprise it was to find this gem! While visiting Surf City on vacation, I noticed vibration in my steering wheel and suspected my wheels were out of balance. I made an appointment, went to the shop and waited in the waiting room. They started looking at my vehicle right away and communicated with me the entire time. They determined that indeed, my wheels were out of balance and went ahead and rebalanced them. The vibration is now gone. The shop was friendly and very professional. I fully recommend this shop for any vehicle servicing needs!

I have been a customer here on several occasions. Getting new batteries, tires, or just general regular scheduled maintenance. Each time I have done business with them, it has been a real pleasure. I have always felt like I was being treated fairly, getting a fair price, and getting the best customer service. They have made doing business with them easy and convenient every time, working on my schedule. We are from out of town but long time vacationers to Topsail island and we have family in holly ridge. We were heading back home from a mini stay at the island when we stopped at the park for our daughter to burn out some energy before a long road trip back home when our durango wouldn't start. We called surf city tire and auto to see if they could help and a nice lady answered the phone and let us know that she was sending someone out to us to take a look. When the gentleman came and looked at it and realized it wasn't a dead battery he called the lady back and told her it needed a tow. Within 10 minutes she arrived to our location and picked myself, my fiance our daughter and our grandmother and brought us back to the shop. They were so kind and compationate. In total from the time we were broke down to them getting us a starter and got us back on the road was 2 hours!! That's amazing and we are so grateful for their family owned business. We will be sure to tell our friends and family to go there for any vehicle needs!! Thank you guys so much for taking care of us!!

So, as far as service and getting me in last minute most certainly a 5star. But I asked for a price before work was started and didn’t get it. They started and did the work so I was stuck. Spare rim cost quite a bit more than I would be willing to pay. So maybe I’m giving me a 3 star for not insisting on the price first. People there were great as far as kind and capable. I would go there again just be sure I get a quote first. Moved three star to four star because THEY OUT ABOUT THE SERVICE!!! I love good customer service.

Surf city Auto was absolutely wonderful to work with. We are from out of town and our truck had a major leak. All other places were booked for 3 days out or didn’t call back. We saw Surf City on goggle and decided to give them a chance. Not only did they get us in quickly , they were incredibly affordable, honest and a pleasure to work with!

We had a sudden issue with my jeep while on vacation at surf city. We looked for a place with good reviews to see if they could help us. Surf city tire and auto was so helpful they even gave my husband a ride to our condo and picked him back up afterwards when it was finished. Everyone was nice and it was affordable regarding the situation....if you are in a car situation trust them. We made it back to WV safe thanks to them :)

My family and I were leaving Surf City after vacationing a few days and the dreaded engine light came on in my car and it started losing power..didn't even think I was going to make it over the Surf City bridge! Took it to Surf City Tire & Auto and they were completely wonderful! They quickly diagnosed the electrical issue, had the part needed in stock, and fixed within a few hours and had my family on the road toward home that evening without needing to pay for a extra night of hotel expenses. I can't say enough about their honestly & efficiency, all while being friendly & understanding. I would definitely recommend SC Tire & Auto to anyone and thank them so much!!

While on vacation on Topsail island I lost the power steering in my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The closest dealer was to far away so I called Chrystal at Surf City Tire & Auto for help. As soon as I arrived they took a look and made a quick but accurate diagnosis…bad electrical steering pump. Chrystal found a replacement part that was shipped the next day and my car was done within hours of its arrival to the shop. Awesome and timely customer service! Had they not accurately and quickly found the problem, found the part, and expedited the repair it could have put a severe damper on what was a great vacation. Very grateful for her and the crew taking such good care of me in a pinch!!

Amazing, friendly service! We were in town for a beach trip and our AC went out. Surf City Tire and Auto took great care of us and even gave us a ride back to the place we were staying. Fair price on the labor and parts and fast. Stop reading this review and take your car to them for help!

My car broke down Labor Day weekend of 2021 after driving from Wisconsin for military orders. Surf City Tire and Auto was recommended to me and they did not disappoint. My car was back to me within a week for a reasonable price. Crystal is very helpful and friendly and made sure my car was taken care of with regular maintenance for the following months. Great local spot that I trust!

It was a really unfortunate experience based off their reviews. Set an appointment for new tires about a week in advance. I showed up and they seemed a little disorganized, at first they didn't know what I needed done, then after I had to tell them they ended up not having the tires there. I was told they would have them there in about 2 hours and could come back that day. Well, never received a call that they were in, until the next day and they tried to make it right by telling me I could bring it by absolutely anytime that worked best for me. Since I was at work i had to call the next morning only to be rd by someone else there that I couldn't come in until after 3(not very accommodating) *I like the tires and I liked the pricing* however communication failed at almost ever possible stage.

On vacation and needed a quick fix before we went home, safely! They were able to get the part and work done in two business days while we were relaxing on the beach. Honest, fair and easy to work with! Thank you, Surf City Tire Auto for a wonderful experience!

I really want to like this family business. We have brought vehicles to them for 4 years now. They had my car for 6 months, to work on my transmission. They quoted me a price when I first brought it in. After it sitting with them and numerous phone calls, I begged them to work on my vehicle. They came back with a quote that nearly doubled. So I got my vehicle towed out of there. I'm not sure why I had such poor luck with them this time, but it was enough for me not to want to go back to them. The only time they called me was to quote me the last time. I wish I would have kept track of how many times I called them, or tried to get through to them. Maybe they are better at smaller jobs.

The folks here are so nice and honest. We had the dealership quote us a ridiculous price after they told us we needed 4 new tires, so we brought our car to surf city tire & auto for a second opinion. Jeff took a look at it right away and let me know we only need 2 tires replaced, not all 4. They were able to get us a great price on the tires and installed them the same week. I will definitely be taking my car there for everything from now on!

Very honest and reputable shop. They have always done a fantastic job, get me in and out quick with oil changes and very reasonable prices. I was surprised my new set of tires was cheaper with them than Costco! Plus, they are very friendly folks! I like keeping it local! So glad I found them!
