Love this place! They diagnose issues, give advice that is helpful and thoughtful taking the cost and safety needs of the vehicle, they are helpful, and they do great work. Don’t be frustrated when they don’t answer the phone, they are busy doing good work!

I don’t usually leave reviews but honestly had one of the best experiences of my life here. The guys are super helpful and you don’t feel like you’re getting fleeced. They know what they’re doing. This is business as it should be done. Seriously awesome auto shop and family business. No more dealers. These guys have our business!!

I had a large piece of metal lodged in my tire and they took me in right away after no luck at 2 big name stores. Luckily no damage to the tire and they topped the air off all for free and under 30 mins!! Highly impressed with their service. Thanks guys!

This place is amazing! I knew they would be my first call for my leaky tire after my roommate and her mom had a great experience with them about a year ago, and Mama S doesn't give out compliments freely. They had my tire fixed in 20 minutes and didn't charge me anything! They also didn't make me feel stupid at all during my entire experience, and they really could've taken the chance to after I called my air compressor an "air thing" on the phone. Porter's Neck Tire and Auto is the most reliable, trustworthy auto repair shop I have ever been to and we are lucky to have such fantastic people serving this neighborhood. I highly encourage you to make this place your number one stop if you are in need of car help.

Called them for the first time because I had a nail in my tire. They got me right in and fixed it within an hour. Great customer service- would 10/10 recommend!

These guys are terrific. Knowledgeable, trustworthy, and friendly. We always take our vehicles here because they fix them when promised, at a competitive price and never try to upsale. Truly old fashioned customer service.

I can't say enough good things about this business! I've been taking my 2008 Subaru Forester here for several years...they were the only ones who fixed my AC problem after I had it to 2 other repair places...have always been honest and very reasonable!

I took my car in the day after Christmas for a small vibration that was coming through the steering wheel. I assumed it was an imbalanced tire. The tech removed both front wheels and spun them on the machine. He said both balanced out and didn't need any weights added or removed. Whatever he did, the vibration is gone and they didn't even charge me. I will definitely return to Porter's Neck Tire & Auto when I'm due for tires or a repair. Thanks, guys.

I had a flat tire on the Fourth of July and had to use my spare. I brought my truck to Porters Neck Tire and Auto because it was the closest place to my house. Awesome decision! They were very busy today but immediately took my keys and repaired my flat tire, reattached my spare under my truck and I was good to go in about 20 minutes. I was so impressed with everyone there and the price could not have been more generous. These people know how to win lifetime customers and I am so pleased to be one.

I had an issue with my truck shaking while driving. Due to the amount of positive reviews I decided to swing in to have it checked out. They got me an appointment right away and I expected to pay a pretty penny to have it fixed but had accepted that in my mind. Once all was said and done he told me I owed $20.00. Yes $20 and they went far above and beyond to make sure my truck was ok. I will never go to a dealership again. I highly recommend these guys and will forever be a customer. Thank you!

First time going there and it was fantastic! Very nice staff and it was a no fuss visit. I told them what the issue was I was having and they told me the best time to stop by. They took a look at my car right when I got there and fixed it up! Would 1000% recommend using their services!

Was recommended by a friend who’s gotten work done here for a decade plus. I got a used car inspected before I purchased it, and the crew were transparent on the cars weaknesses and how to properly maintain it to prevent future rust from snow and salt. Any auto troubles I have I’d trust these guys with; not to mention that they’re a local family business, which is rare these days.

Just from talking to Trey today and can already rate this place 5 stars. He tried to talk me out of spending money on an alignment. He said he would inspect it for free and determine if it even needs it bc he highly doubted it did. I had 65k tires last only 20k and they said it’s due to an alignment issue so no prorate or rebate or discount. I trust this company bc of my experience with Trey. He’s a good business.

Just called and said what my issue was and was able to get an appointment the next day. I came in and within 10 minutes told me what needed fixing and the price and was able to get my car back within that day. Staff was really friendly made the experience easy and simple. We were headed back home to Florida when my tire got a big hole in it and fix-a-flat wasn’t an option. We got here 10 minutes before closing and they were quick to help & were not rude at all. Definitely thankful for them & would recommend them to friends & family that live here.

Long story short, after an oil change I was quoted a high amount at another shop for rear brake repair that threatened safety. So I rush it to Porters Neck tire and auto (where they did great work on my front brakes before) and turns out my breaks where just fine and no leaks like the other place said. They just cleaned and tightened everything up and I was good to go! I am just so great full! Thank you Porters Neck Tire and Auto!

So grateful for this wonderful shop. We are on vacation with family at Topsail, noted a flat on our vehicle. We topped the apparent slow leak with air and drove over....did a drop in. The staff hopped right on it, repaired the tire in 15 minutes....NO CHARGE! Refused a tip. This shop sets the standard for decency and kindness and superb customer service. Thanks so much!

Quickest, most honest, most affordable mechanic I've found in Wilmington. I bring them all of my cars - domestic, imported, new, and classic. Had a very slow leak in a tire on my Lexus last week and it took them two days to finally find it because it was so small, and even after having to remount and reseal my tire to fix the issue, they didn't charge me a penny. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Moved to Wilmington recently and found them close by to where we moved in Porter's Neck. Great people. Honest and professional. Great and efficient service. Very fair pricing. Happy to have a local mechanic for my family to count on.

Great customer experience here. I had a slow leak in a tire and called in and they told me to stop by and within 10 min they had the issue resolved (nail) and had me back on the road. Very professional and fast service. I'll be back for sure.

So I had some issues with what I assumed was my battery. After a jump, I drove my Jeep there and told them that's what's I thought I needed. No appointment or anything, I was in and out in less than an hour with a good quality battery with a warranty. The price was way less than I anticipated. I'm a travel nurse from Pennsylvania and these wonderful people just gave me one more dose of that "southern hospitality"

We were so lucky to meet Gary and his wife Kim about 10 years ago when my daughter started driving. They have been wonderful to us ever since. We've had a few last minute repairs when the kids were home from college and Gary has always taken care of them. I wouldn't use anyone else and highly recommend them!!! Moved down here early June from Vermont, my F250 had a problem in the front end. They diagnosed, fixed and was below the quoted price. Went back for another repair on a another vehicle. Fixed right away, done sooner than they said it was going to be and didn't charge me a bit. (Small repair) but they still had to pay the mechanic for his time. I recommended them to a friend of mine down here and they were just as happy as I have been. Currently shopping for new tires now and they will be my only call. My wife and I were traveling North to visit our son in Washington, DC and while detouring in Wilmington, NC to visit friends, we ran over some nails which caused our tire to deflate. Gary's team patched our tire quickly, but we were concerned about the potential for further leaks while on our trip and we decided to replace the rear tires on our Hyundai Equus. Within a few hours they received the new tires and replaced them at a very FAIR price. They treated us honestly and fairly and went out of their way to get our issues resolved quickly. We would recommend them to all!!!
