The gentlemen handling my business in the garage are ALWAYS polite, professional, and willing to educate about the various categories and qualifications, for lack of better words. EXCELLENT experience, with everyone, from the scale house to the equipment operators, every time we do business there.
The guys in the warehouse were nice and helpful.
The young man inside was polite and kind to help me use the $$machine, I had not been there before.
The other white guy inside... should not be making jokes when a customer comes inside- rude!
I visited Saturday to take a load I had and was met immediately with courteous and helpful staff. The staff did a great job explaining things to me, sorting the different material and unloading my truck in no time. I called and asked about this big old heavy radiator heater I removed from a Remodeling job, and Kirk was very friendly and helpful. I pulled right in, another employee helped me unload it, and I walked out of there with cash in all of about 5 minutes. Better than taking it to the landfill and paying to get rid of it, for sure! What was once a fully stocked resale center is now a barren wasteland of unwanted leftover junk. Last 3 times I've been there they haven't added anything new. Not sure if it's new management or ownership, but it's pretty sad.
We had a couple of truck loads of scrap metal that we needed to dispose of we called Southern Metals Recycling and they walked us through the process. We drove there let them weigh us on the scale guys there helped us unload the metal ( super helpful and efficient) and instructed us to go back to the scale and they weighed us again parked off to the side and presented my ID he payed me. Very efficient process and the fact that they help you made the experience that much better. Thank you guys we appreciate what you do.
I've never been to this location before. It's a little confusing driving around but the customer service was great. Everyone was very kind and patient as I navigated my way around.
This place is freaking fantastic. So many options and choices. They have this great bin of scrap metal with tons of good pieces, maybe needs a little clean up but other than that, it’s like Christmas in there. I love it.
Good prices for some 1” aluminum tubes. Cost me $33.50 (before tax) for 10 lbs. and $15 to cut it 3 times ($5 per cut).
Friendly staff and the resale warehouse has a wide selection of metal junk and parts like bolts of varying sizes, shovel heads, golf clubs, alternators and even coffeemakers.
Since I've been scrapping about 10 years now I've always gone to Southern metals I have been to other places throughout the years but I've always come back to Southern metals because I've gotten to know them personally and they are really exceptional over there I recommend them 100% very professional very courteous and respectful and they treat you like a person not like a piece of scrap get it scrap LOL
I brought in 5 pounds of copper they then said it only weighed out to be 2.5 pounds and then proceeded to call my gf Hanna Montana the entire time we where there and kept telling us we knew someone named Hitler because we lived in Hampstead they are racist people and they will steal your profit scrap
I don't know anything about the metal industry as I am an accountant but I had to call to request paperwork for a previous sale and the team at SMR was extremely helpful! I need copies of invoices and was on a time crunch. Aaron Martin helped me get copies of the invoices and statements I was requesting with almost no wait time. He was extremely helpful and friendly!
Fast, friendly and very helpful. Was on the way to the landfill and stopped by to sell a few aluminum poles they pointed out other things I could sell.
