Awesome mechanic. Very thorough. Goes above and beyond to ensure his work is verified. We has a timing issue. Dealership would charge over 2600. We purchased the parts and Mann's labor was more than fair. We moved here from ATL in 2020. We've found our forever mechanic. Thanks Mann.
I hate having to do this. But I’m feeling the need to express my experience with this company. In November 2021. I had my timing chain and system replaced . In less than a year it started making noise and the check engine light has come on. After multiple diagnostics done by the Buick dealer and other local established automotive repair companies. It has been determined . That it’s the timing chain. I reached out and talked to the service guy on Monday October 3 . He started he would call me back after he talked to the manufacturer of these parts. I’ve called everyday for a week now. No one answers the phone. I have received no phone calls in regards to the status or any updates on my car. The issue is getting worse daily and I’m worried it going to breakdown soon. Unfortunately due to his lack of communication. I’m being forced to move forward with Buick to do the exact repairs that Manns auto did less than a year ago. I have to assume he’s not going to warranty his work. I paid almost $1700.00 for this repair. It’s going to cost the exact same from the Buick dealer . Who guarantees and warranty’s their work. It’s really unfortunate . I’m having to pay twice for the exact same repair. In order to feel safe driving my kids to and from school everyday. Due to his lack of professionalism and desire to uphold and warranty his work. I’m being forced to move forward and take further actions and file small claims action against his company. $1700.00 may not be a lot of money to some. But it goes a long way in my life. I really do not want to do this. But I feel like my hand is being forced. I need a safe vehicle to transport my family around.

Tuesday my Suburban let me down in Kinston. At 2:50 I called Mr. Mann and explained the situation and that I was supposed to be going out of town Thursday with the family for a short vacation and if possible really needed my Suburban to do so, I knew it was late and the possibility of that happening maybe slim to none. But my truck was picked up and on the way to the shop by 3:30, and at 5:30 I received a call saying my truck was ready and I could pick it up in the morning. Also since I had mentioned traveling Thursday he looked it over for us and made sure everything else looked good.
There are probably 25 places in Kinston I could have called Tuesday but I can just about guarantee Mann’s Automotive is the only one that would given me the service I received at the drop of a dime and had me ready to ride the next morning!
This was my first experience with Mr. Mann but it will certainly will not be my last. He just earned a customer.
Don't use this shop. I spent over $800 on a new air conditioner for my car but still have no AC because the replacement was not done properly. I have spoken to 2 professionals and did my own research and found that corners were cut with my AC replacement. I tried to speak to the owner about it, but he apparently thinks I should pay him even more money, despite the fact he did a half-way job. He insinuated that he did me a favor by charging me this "low" price. I don't feel like anyone did me a favor when I spent that much money and still don't have a working AC!!
I have had some work done there that I was happy with, but this is unacceptable.
They basically never answer the phone at the shop. They want to keep your car for 2-3 days but only get around to messing with it on the last day they have it, if they even do anything then. They aren't the best at diagnosing problems. They used to top off fluids when performing oil changes but don't anymore.
EDIT: Yes, owner said I could take it back...at my expense for parts and labor. If I have to pay for something that already should've been done, I'm paying someone else.
Kinda hard to get a hold of the shop by phone ..but when you take your automobile there for service you get the best service known to the area

I've been working on vehicles for 25+ years and if there is anything I can't figure out or if it's tires ,front end alignment etc it goes to Mann Automotive. The mechanics are top notch. Even the owner Colt turns wrenches everyday as well . If it's a simple oil change or needing a motor or a transmission replaced they got it covered. Colt always has a smile on and the other guys are always courteous and give a hey how are ya.. Nothing but good Ole Quality work and hospitality. Hope to continue business with them for many years to come. God bless Mann Automotive for looking out for folks. They also do wrecker calls.
Was recommended by a friend who lives in the area of them. I took both my vehicles to get inspected. The guy that helped me was very quick, professional and friendly. I was in and out in just a little while. All the folks there seem very friendly and laid back. Definitely going back when ever I need any work done.
Owner is very friendly and knowledgeable of his business. He has brought back what is so so rare in other businesses: wonderful and caring customer service. If you want good and friendly service and to deal with people who know what they are doing and truly care about their customers, you need to go to Mann's Automotive on Elijah Loftin Road right off of Hwy. 58 S in the Southwood Community.
Great customer service at a fair price ,Colt is always polite and curtious,he has done several things for me and always satisfactory work, awesome place to do business with.
Mr. Mann is always professional and is thorough in his repairs. His staff is always courteous and respectful. He goes above and beyond to make sure the customer receives the service they need.
My husband is the most wonderful Mechanic! He services my vehicle after hours to put his customers needs first! He is the most hard working, smartest and sweetest person I know. I love him and you would too!
This is a great place to deal with getting your car worked on. They know what they are doing and their prices are very reasonable. They're my mechanics I trust to go to.
