Tried twice this week and last week to drop off metal; no one answered the phone or came outside when I pulled up. I have never been to a scrap yard of any caliper so I had no idea what to even do. ? I gave the two stars for each of the cats I saw outside that were cute and fluffy. ??
I went there at 3:41pm and the gate was open website said they closed at 4:00pm just as 1 guy was getting ready to put my stuff on the scale some hispanic female comes running outside screaming she was closed and I told her what time it was and she still said she was closed and then she said some very rude and foul things to me in Spanish I know some Spanish cuss words myself and I know what gringo means and I know I can't post the other stuff she said that was very very offensive and I feel disrespected no one deserves to be treated the way she treated me if you go there just expect to get called foul nasty names and disrespect for being Black Americans I guess
I have no reason to lie to you! No hard feelings towards you guys at all but just wished your business would of never gave me a price on the phone and make me drive all the way there and then when I get there it’s a big deal and didn’t want to pay me the 3.15 a pound like we agreed upon. You guys didn’t want to pay the 3.15 a pound like we agreed on so I went 20 minutes down the road and got it for 3.40 a pound with no issues.
I use to do most of my business with these guys but I believe I will have to go elsewhere from now on. I called them prior to going and they gave me a price for my materials before I came. So I came 2 hours later and when I showed up someone told me that there is no way they could give me that price. Now prior to even showing up I called someone else and they told me they could give me .39 cents more on the pound than V an A. But since it was a close drive I chose to go to V an A. After they told me they would not give me the price for my materials like we originally talked about I drove 15 minutes further and got .50 cents more on the pound than what V and A said they would originally give me. Sorry but my past visit kind of done me in. It just makes sense to take your materials somewhere they will pay top dollar for it. Never had any problems with this business until recently.
Called to ask for a part and the do called female that answered , answered the phone as if it were her personal phone.do I proceeded to ask her is this your oersy number she said no and hung up in my ear.then I called back ,she hangs up in my ear again.Praying for that young lady. But will not fo business here 0 customer service.
Lee iron and metal pays little more for steel, aluminum. I got little over a hundred for 2000 lbs of steel t posts and got over 200 at lee iron and metal for same amount. You don't have to take my word for it. Just go compare the prices yourself. I went to this place because a friend said they had good prices for the tposts and didn't think to ask when i arrived because this load was just a small truck test load. I will not be returning. You live and learn to ask questions beforehand.
This company is very friendly and gives top dollar for any scrap taken. The owner is absolutely knowledgeable in his field and has been in business many years. He will give a fair honest price for anything that meets the criteria.
Go see Mr. Alan and you will be pleased with his expertise and knowledge in the field.
Beyond that he is just a kind, fair and honest businessman.

Does not match even close to market value. Scrap steel is at .20 cents a pound. I was given 9.60 for 192lbs. Vna your welcome you obviously need the money more then I do. God bless
To the the guy who said we were rude because he asked a question, Joseph Goble..You didn't really "ask" anything, You snapped something pretty rudely at Theresa about how our competition would pay more. And you were unhappy with the price even though Alan went up a few cents and asked for an even better deal than what he already gave you. So he let you know we had 3 other people in line behind you and you could either leave or accept the terms. You chose to leave.
Completely rude for no reason. Then told me to go somewhere else because I asked a question, would give them no stars if possible. Probably the worst business I’ve ever seen not to mention it’s in a back yard.
Competitive pricing! Alan and staff are very accommodating and i’ve always had a smooth experience. It’s great to scrap with down to earth individuals who actually care about their customers!
