I’ve been going here for couple years, although I’ve never had anything major done, he’s always got me in and out, I was alittle skeptical going here at 1st, just because I know where that talking accent is from, haha but so far so good.
Mad Monkey’s Garage is the best! Jimmy communicated every step of the way, pricing was fair, and the work was outstanding. I’ve used them before for minor repairs, but this accident repair experience exceeded expectations. Highly recommend!

I’m temporarily in NC for work and contacted this shop after seeing their tire mounting and balancing ad on FB. After a red-eye flight, a full workday, and no meal, I called before driving 30 minutes to confirm they were open. The response was rude — I was told they wouldn’t stay open at 6pm “for a single tire mount and balance.”
I still tried to give them a chance and called again to ask if they accept card or online payment since I don’t carry cash. The reply: “can’t deal with crap for a $20 job.”
Any reputable shop knows first impressions matter — a small job is the doorway to long-term business. Treating customers poorly over a simple service is a fast way to lose them. I’ve met great mechanics over the years because of respect and professionalism. Sadly, this place failed both. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
Great service and honest guys, always nice to support a good local business instead of a dime-a-dozen chain that squeezes you for everything you’ve got.
Took my 1988 Mercedes 560SL that was having cold start issues to Jimmy and the guys. They fixed it right away after my issue wasn’t able to be diagnosed by multiple “euro car specialists”

Always taken care of, never taken advantage of or overcharged, I have been & will continue to be a faithful customer. With the arrogance and rudeness of Jimmy the owner, it’s hard to believe he can stay in business in this small town where word gets around.
After my brief encounter there, I agree with other people who have posted about his treatment of women customers, and how he takes advantage of their lack of mechanical knowledge.
When I went there and questioned his inappropriate conversation with my daughter and his overinflated estimate for her car repair, his tone of voice and reactionary behavior was threatening and intimidating to me also!
Anyone who has dealt with him would think that he must be paying people to put good reviews on here, because they are obviously fake!
If you want great service and the best mechanics, go across the street to Troutman Tire and get work done by the good guys.
I strongly recommend avoiding Madd Monkey, where the name of the place perfectly describes the owner!
Jim was awesome as always. My wife and I blew a radiator hose Friday evening. Jim came and towed my car to the shop. Had my car fixed first thing Monday. Cannot ask for any better service!

I had a great experience here! Jimmy was super communicative and helped me to really understand and weigh out all of my options once he diagnosed that my transmission had gone. It’s never fun to have car problems, but I’m really thankful to have had Jimmy to help make things significantly less stressful. Having never met, they treat you like you're not only family, but you are cared for through the vehicle with respect for your needs and safety over the usual Upsell con game of other types of garages. Only change I ask, is for a 6th star to truely reflect our appreciation.
I wish I had taken the time to read all the reviews before coming here. If you’re looking for a textbook example of a shop that takes advantage of women, this is it. They replace parts that don’t need replacing just to pad the bill — it’s dishonest and unacceptable. What’s worse is the owner’s complete lack of accountability. Instead of addressing valid concerns, he dismisses 1-star reviews as ‘lies’ rather than simply doing better. I will never support a business that refuses to take responsibility for its actions.
I’ve been trying to get my 2015 ram 1500 motor built or engine swapped for close to a year. The owner or employees never reached out to me after having to call them three different times in order to get details on parts, labor, and pricing I would not recommend this company to anybody. The owner cannot keep their word on calling or messaging you back. If I could, I would give this review a zero star rating.

Our car was overheating and we had to stop every 40 seconds so it wouldn’t completely blow up and we stopped at Madd Monkey 1 1/2 before they closed- unsure if they would be able to do anything for us. Within minutes they came outside and drove our van into their garage to look at it. We had our 3 kids and dog with us, and they allowed us ALL to come in and wait- with a play area for the kids! They fixed our van within in an hour and were super generous and kind. I recommend this place to anyone who comes across it- or is just passing through like we were!!
Jimmy is the best mechanic I have ever worked with, period. He's friendly and he always gives me a honest opinion of what is wrong with my vehicle and he's very fair with his prices. I wouldn't want to take my vehicle anywhere else. Rick

My brakes went out on my truck so I dropped my truck off at Madd Monkey near closing time. Jimmy got me back on the road the next day. Can't recommend this place enough. Was quoted $1,700 on an AC repair job by one of the chains. Madd Monkey was able to get the job done within a day and for $1,200. Not only that, but the owner talked me through how one of the aspects of the job the chain recommended wasn't necessary. Don't hesitate to take your car here!
Had my valve cover gasket replaced on my 2013 328i. They did a great job for the time being. I will update this in 2 months to see how it holds up. Went in on a Friday and took me in on a Monday. They went beyond and also cleaned the whole engine making it look new. No complaints about the work. The only problem I had was with the customer service, payed different amount from quoted, and took way longer then quoted. About 48 hours longer. Also not sure how long the car was sitting outside completed and they did not bother calling until I called. My only car so it was essential I got it back asap. Other then those small complaints I would recommend getting your car done here. BMW approved if that even matter to some folks.
Jimmy and staff were awesome at fixing my car! They were able to return it to me the same day, even after performing some tedious work. They’re all very friendly and personable! Their pricing is so fair and the kindness that comes from the staff is priceless.
