I've been using Triangle for several years now, and would not consider going elsewhere. They are kind and helpful, and their technicians really know what they are doing.
If I could give them 0 stars I would.
Several things were unacceptable. One is that they took out the whole socket and bulb out of the instrument panel and said the problem with check engine light being on was fixed
If I could give them less than 1 star I would. My 18 year old son who just got his 1st car took it to Triangle auto for his brakes that needed to be worked on. He called me the next morning and told me they quoted him $ 750.00 for front and back pads and new rotors. I told him to let them know not to do any work on the vehicle that we were going to pick it up to get a 2nd opinion. He is 18 and works very hard for his $ and simply could not afford that. All the sudden they say well we don't really have to do the back ones we can just do the front. That did not sit well with me as they told him they were in desperate need of being replaced. I still said no I will take it over to Doyle at Greens auto. ( Best and most trustworthy mechanic in town ) When we went to get the vehicle they said okay that will be $130.00. WHAT???? They said it was a diagnostic fee for the breaks. I have quite a few cars and have never been charged to look at brake pads. I told the lady at the front my son is not paying that much to look at his brakes. She got extremely snippy and said her mechanics don't work for free. She then threatened to call the police on my child if he did not pay the bill. They are a scam and definitely got one over on a young adult who is just trying to get by with school and work. I have heard their reputation around town and it is not good! Save yourself the time and hassle and take it somewhere else. Doyle got my son fixed up the same day and for 1/2 the price. DO NOT USE TRIANGLE IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR AND WALLET TREATED RIGHT!!!!!
Very nice people I know I’m very bothersome when it comes to a vehicle I love, these people are great super friendly customer service I recommend these guys anytime you need something for your vehicle they’re definitely gonna watch out for you 🫵🏻
Having a Short Bus brakes go out Triangle Automotive was recommended for the job. I called them, and they got me in and diagnosed the issue. Friendly informative folks, the mechanics did an amazing job. Definitely Will recommended to my Nomadic friends .
Great service and friendly, helped my son from out of town get his car going in a pinch. Replaced a battery at no charge in his Range Rover in an hour which is not a simple task. Thank you!
Called my car the death machine. Scared me so badly when I drove it. Dustin messaged saying he could help. And he did! For a very reasonable price he fixed everything that was wrong with my suburu outback. It drives like a dream now. If you need any repairs Dustin will take care of you in a very timely manner. Can't that you enough! My car drives the best she's ever driven!
I recently brought my car to Triangle Automotive because they had done a good job on my muffler about 10 years ago. This time, the hood latch was loose and needed to be welded back in place. Russell welded it back. The hood works fine now. Everyone was friendly. A good experience.
I was with Ms. Christensen. She asked for a call if her brakes were worn and needed to be replaced. No call happened. They took the liberty to replace them without notice. The repair bill was almost double what was anticipated. The response from ownership is not true. There was no profanity. The receptionist panicked when she realized the order for the work was not complete and she was covering her omission. Then she went silent. The manager was rude and refused to accept they made a mistake. Yes, he offered to put the worn brakes back on. Really! That was the solution? He was willing to send out a customer with worn brakes in a rainstorm. Management became aggressive when questioned. BTW, I recommended Triangle even after they neglected two things I wanted them to look when they worked on my Jeep. Then on the way to pick up Ms. Christensen’s Camry my CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT came on. That was supposedly fixed. Obviously, it wasn’t. They also failed to check on a leak in my dashboard that I requested. I believe that was not written on the work order. Due to the hostility at the shop, we didn’t get to address the mismanagement on my repairs. Not organized. Not efficient. Not reliable. I was really looking for a trustworthy repair shop. Unfortunately, it isn’t Triangle.
Requested oil change and transmission fluid change and filter with tire rotation. Done! However, new front brakes and rotors put on when I specifically requested twice notification if brakes were needed. Also air cabin filter replaced. I had just done that. Wasn't needed. Poor front office/back shop communication. Owner not willing to compensate for their mistake.
Geez, was on hold for 5 mins and asked a question lady simple said NO and hanged up, didn’t let me finish my other question. Took company service truck to another business.
Responding to ur response.. we also have an escort car with the load, you would have known that if whoever was on the other line didn’t hang up so quickly. Go back to the call if u can… and why call me back after the bad review. Your services are not needed no more so quit harassing, what is done is done, customer service here NO GOOD!
The people that work here are amazing! They helped me out of a tight bind I got myself into involving a car repair and I couldn't be more happy about my experience with them. The receptionist was so helpful and the mechanic easily figured out the problem and worked hard to get it taken care of. I just moved to the area so I feel excited and relieved to have found a go-to mechanic that is not only trustworthy but compassionate!
I called Dustin on Father's Day Sunday because my car was over heating. I could still drive it but not far. We knew the leak was coming from the water pump. He was happy to talk to me even on Father's Day and told me to drop it off anytime at his shop. I took it up there that day and brought him the keys on Monday. He knows I'm a Mom of 4 and need my car. He called me that day with an extremely fair price ordered the part and had it fixed by the next day. Dustin and his wife and Doyle that works there were so good to me. You can tell they actually care about their customers and want to help them. I can't thank y'all enough for helping me.
I've known the owner and mechanics for years. They are highly professional with years of experience. I wouldn't trust anyone else to work on my vehicle. I really appreciate how they treat me also. Great pricing too.
The business manager took a few minutes to assist me in solving an issue with the electric radiator fan on my rental vehicle, thereby ensuring that my wife and I would be able to safely make the 1000 mile drive back to our home in Texas. When I offered to pay him, he declined, so I gave him $20 for the tip jar. Excellent customer service and a very pleasant man to deal with. Keep up the great work!!
Staying nearby on vacation and my car broke down. I called several local mechanics to see who could look at it the same day and most of them said they could not. I reached triangle automotive and spoke with the owner, Dustin I believe, he said even though he was short a tech he would do his best to take a look at it. Not only did he take a look at it, but was able to diagnose that heater hose had blown and was leaking coolant all over the place. He fixed it the same day and I was able to pick it up right before close that afternoon. Saved my vacation!

Love these people! Called in the middle of the day asking about my vehicle making a crazy noise....was told to bring it in after lunch......the man who runs the show literally dropped everything he was doing to drive my vehicle......not only that, he told me within 20 seconds of driving it....everything that was wrong with it! They definitely know their stuff! I mean right down to the lady that works the desk.....they all know their stuff! Couldn't be happier with my experience! I now am starting to take our company vehicles there for maintenance! You all ROCK! THANK YOU!
Bought a used 2004 Volvo off of Craigslist last year. After a couple of weeks started hiccuping and stalling out so I took it in the first place I found close by which happened to be Triangle. Dropped it off with the expectation of at least a $100 diagnostic which I had been quoted from another shop to just look at my car. Ecstatic when they called 2 days later with the car repaired from a vacuum hose leak and the charge of only $65. Since then I have had plugs, brakes, and the oil change. Everything has come in at lower prices than I expected and the brakes we're at a lower price than I had been quoted. Love my experience so much that I'm making my first Google review today. If you have a problem with these guys it's probably not their fault.
My husband and I stopped in after having our engine over heat about a mile out of town. We were heading to Asheville but didn’t want to chance having more trouble if we didn’t get it looked out. We called and asked if they’d be able to take a look and they got us in right away to trouble shoot. They kept us informed as they figured out the problem and explained what the issue was. We were out of there in less than an hour at a great price. Very grateful that it was a minor issue and a fairly easy fix.
My father in law took his car there because he trusted them. They had it for over 8 days and never looked at it. They kept telling him they would and never did. He is 87 and took it there because he thought he could trust them. He asked them if they could tow it to the Ford dealership in Waynesville. Not only did they charge him $60 but they also made him come pay it before they towed it. They were extremely rude to him and I wanted to warn anyone who may be considering using them. I can understand that they are busy but they should have just told him they could not look at it when he took it to them.
Absolutely amazing service, I won't use any one else. You arent just a customer here, they care about your life. My truck broke down last night and when I said I was worried about getting it back before Friday as I am starting a new job, Dustin said no problem. They called early this morning to tell me it was done. They have stayed open late for me and offered me a ride home. Best shop in the whole Asheville area, worth the trip if you arent local to Waynesville.
I want to share my very positive experience I had with this business. The reception was quick and courteous. They evaluated the problem right away, fixed it and I was on with my day. I have a Honda CRV, so don't be reluctant to bring over an "import". (Not that any Honda's are made in Japan anymore.)
I don't usually write reviews about business's or products but I had to say something about the people and service from Triangle Automotive Repair. My 1999 Dodge 2500 diesel managed to spin off the castle nut on the passenger side tire and the only thing left holding the wheel on was the brake caliper. I was stuck on the side of the road with this big truck and needed a tow. I looked up towing on my phone and called Triangle. They were very friendly and understood my issue. My truck couldn't be towed by a rollback or a normal tow truck by the wheels because it would have damaged the front end even more. The guys showed up and were able to lift my truck by the axle and towed it to my house. I live on a very narrow rocky back road that would give a Billy goat a headache and these guys managed to get my truck in and even backed it right to my garage door. I can't say enough good things about everyone there and the service I got from Triangle Automotive. I will definitely be calling them again if I need a tow or mechanic work. Great job guys!!!!
I've had a few of my cars worked on here. They have always fixed everything I've needed done. They have even stayed over hours to get the job done. Very helpful and very knowledgeable group of guys. To add to the plus side they even do towing. 5 stars plus some more.
I checked the BBB before taking my car here. They had an A+ rating. It was well earned. I was very happy with my service & the friendliness. I wasn't told my car needed something it didn't. I will continue using them for my automotive needs..
Highly recommend. Doyle did his best to help us with our Honda odyssey and seems to be as honest as they come. Very reasonable bill and timely work. I would not hesitate to take my car to him again if /when it needs work.
Triangle Automotive Repair is a top notch service. I had a semi-major problem with my VW and I needed the work done in one day. They took it that morning and by mid-afternoon, it was done! And they were very reasonably priced. Thanks for getting me taken care of. Totally would recommend them.
I have been using this shop for about a year because I could not afford dealership prices. So far I have had to use their tow service twice, have an axle replaced, and they found a water leak in my third brake light for me. I have been very pleased with all of my experiences.
