I highly recommend this shop! I was in the beginning of a two week long roadtrip in my van when I started hearing some strange noises under the hood. I was feeling really concerned and this shop was the closest one to me. I called them and even though they were on their lunch break they could tell I was very stressed and decided to help me anyway without making me wait. They ended up fixing my issue efficiently and got me safely back on the road to continue on my travels. I’m so grateful for their help and kindness! Wonderful people who know what they’re doing. Thanks again so very much!!!

I'm on vacation and came to this shop after seeing the good reviews regarding motorcycle inspections. I called ahead to verify hours and when I arrived went and found the manager. He came over to the bike which wasn't running and said he's not going to bother looking at it, and repeatedly said "Hochul says its too loud"... Its an 03 naturally aspirated Harley, what do you expect?.. I thought I was in a good place after seeing all his mechanics wearing trump hats. The manager must be some nutty Lib though. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time coming here.

We were recently on a vacation in the Glens Falls Queensbury area camping. My son's car wouldn't start and I had to find somebody quickly who could take a look at it. Although they were pretty booked up they agreed to let us have it towed there and they were able to change out the starter the same day. Thank you Chris for getting us in so quickly any other two places I had called didn't have appointments for 2 to 3 weeks

Great place to get your motorcycle inspected. No appointment necessary, just walk in. Call ahead to verify hours -- they don't do inspections from noon to 2 or something like that.

Suggested by the owner of Playland Arcade. We had a day from Lake Sacandaga to Lake George. Aaa tow put us an hour the wrong way and dropped us at a Firestone in Qieensbury . Firestone quoted us an astronomical amount for a belt, an alternator and a new battery. Chris from McKinley, didn't even know we dropped the car off last night before putting my 25 year old in a hotel for the night. 8am he answered, I explained, and without an appointment or knowing us, he told me he'd have my daughter back on the road today to come home 3 hours south. He not only kept that promise. She didn't need a battery and his final bill was half of Firestone. I’ve been taking my 2006 Sequoia here for a couple years. The team is always friendly, the pricing is reasonable, and I’ve never felt like they were trying to upsell me on things I don’t need. Chris, the owner, is direct and honest—he tells you exactly what’s going on with your car and what actually needs to be done. It’s refreshing to work with a shop that values transparency and good service

We needed some work done before our car could pass inspection. My now former mechanic misdiagnosed a bad thermostat for a blown water-pump, and quoted me over $3800 for that and the rest of the repairs. We called McKinney's for a ballpark estimate, and it came out just a little over HALF of the other guy's figure. Once they got to take a look under the hood, they found and fixed the "thermostat mistake" the other guy made, and by that afternoon, my new brakes and ball-joints were installed and good to go. My car drives like new, and I will definitely be giving this shop all of my future business!

Got a wheel alignment. I didn’t love that something so simple took 9 hours to complete. However, decent enough shop.

I've taken our older cars here. We have an old Pilot and a 99 Altima. They are honest and upfront on cost! All the guys there and Chris are helpful and nice. They go the extra mile! In fact I had left my front license plate inside my car and they were kind enough to put it on without me asking!🙂 Also they fixed other little issues and never charged me or even mentioned they fixed it until I realized it had been fixed! ❤️ That's truly a good group of guys! 😉 Being a single mom with lots of health issues and tight budget, this shop has fair prices which I'm very thankful for!❤️ This is a great shop! ❤️❤️❤️ Take your vehicle you will not be disappointed!!! 😊👍👍👍👍👍

Work is done professionally and atmosphere is friendly. Prices are reasonable. If anything unexpected pops up, they discuss with me and get approval before starting work. Only place I go to for vehicle work.

I was given the name of this garage as a great place to have work done from a family member, and they did not disappoint! Although Chris was on vacation, Bill took great care of my car. I dropped it off at 8:00 am. for a new set of tires on my CR-V, and they called me at noon saying it was done. No issues whatsoever, Bill even called prior to the start to confirm the tire change. Prices can not be beat! They did a great job, definitely recommend!

Drove our 14' Nissan Pathfinder there and waited two weeks for Chris to look at it. He gave up after an hour. Called me to say he was leaving to go fishing and he thought it might need new catalytic converters but wasn't sure and we owed him $92 for diagnostics. Still awaiting my receipt. Had it towed out of there on Friday and Pottersville garage had it fixed on Saturday. It turned out to be the mass air flow sensor. Going to claim it on my taxes as "Everyone gets a Trophy"

I stopped at Mckinney's Automotive Repair by chance on the way back to Montreal. My vehicle clearly had a major problem and they helped me so kindly! They saved my day and especially my return home. Forever grateful!

I was recommended to McKinney's from the "big shops" because they wouldn't inspect my specific bike, and the "other guys" make it nearly impossible to get an appointment in on my schedule. Well... I'll be taking my business here from now on, they've got the right business model, and they were extremely fast and professional! It was a pleasant experience, and they gave me a free koozie! While looking for a local repair shop, I was referred to McKinney's from a guy that loves automobiles. Scheduled an appt on the phone, had some general maintenance performed, and very pleased with the service. The parking area is a bit tight but a busy garage is certainly a good sign in my opinion. I love how honest these guys are. Every time I've brought it in, I expected it to be some big expensive fix and they are honest about what really needs to be done and what the costs are, and they save me money. For example, I took my car in because I was sure the rear brakes needed replacing. Chris called me up and told me that they really didn't need replacing and just needed a good cleaning. I know some garages would have taken advantage of me thinking I needed the replacement and they would have just done it and taken the money. Ive had other work done here and they're always quick, cost efficient, and accommodating of my schedule.

We were towed almost 100 miles to this automotive repair shop after the serpentine belt turned into spaghetti late last night. This place was recommended to me through the climbing community at shelving rock in the Adirondacks. I am not from this community and they did not know me yet treated us with complete professionalism and got the car back to us in a few hours. considering he had to repair this on Friday before Fourth of July Saturday I was really impressed. The fact that this repair shop prioritized us because we were in a uniquely difficult situation showed compassion on top of the pricing being really straightforward and totally fair. I would highly recommend this repair shop!!! the owner Chris deals with the customers directly for the most part it seems like and is very involved with all of the customers. grateful that I found this place.

Just left there - what a great experience! First, Chris McKinney gave me an appointment within a couple hours after I called with my grinding front end. Second, when I arrived, he brought me right in because it sounded so bad, quoted me a VERY reasonable price, and got to work. Finally, he told me 60-90 mins and was dead on. The two other mechanics working today were quick, efficient and knowledgeable. The price I paid was the one I was quoted and I recommend this place to EVERYONE looking for a trustworthy mechanic.

The guys were super easy to work with and their prices are more than fair. If I can ever get another free Saturday I'll be heading back to get my front brakes done as well. If you need anything done on a weekend, make an appointment. They close early on Saturdays but at least they are available. Hands down the best mechanics I've dealt with in a decade. Now that I know about McKinney's I will be taking any repairs I have to get done to them! Can't recommend them enough!

I trust going to McKinney's Garage. They tell you what should be done on your vehicle and it is taken care of. They are quick and efficient. Pleasant crew. Very fair on pricing. And the work is always satisfying when you leave. You feel comfortable leaving your vehicle there.

This locally owned and operated shop was the best their customer service skills are right on point and the owner is really knowledgeable and helpful. They were quick to get my vehicle in and safe for the road more than just a day or two knowing that I had court for a equipment failure issue ticket and they made sure to get me in even though they were swamped. They did a really good job and the owner actually came out and double check the work of his employee just to make sure that everything was to his satisfaction and mine! That made me very happy and very comfortable I most certainly will be doing business there again very soon.

My husband was traveling for work and was several miles away from home when our vehicle had broke down. Chris arranged for our vehicle to get towed to the garage and was very diligent about getting to the bottom of our mechanical problems. He had constant communication with us the whole time as to what he felt needed to be done. He was always so polite and went above and beyond for us. It was great to be so far away from home but still get treated like we were regular customers. Such a great experience for us and we highly recommend Mckinneys Garage.

always fast always helpful. these guys know what they are doing and they do it right the first time. i had an oil change done by them and it was lightning quick. i also asked for an estimate on shocks and struts to be installed and after a few months went by, i went in to have them look at a blower motor that seems to have died and they still remembered that i needed my shocks and struts. these guys are amazing the best around in my book!
