In unfortunate times of car accidents and car vandalisms, I have been fortunate to find a shop like Dowling Brothers. They are super helpful, friendly and most importantly, efficient. They are thorough, give fair competitive prices for repair and have done an excellent job on the repairs for my car. I would recommend this to anyone who needs an auto body shop for repairs—they are fast and once again, the work is impeccable!
Very friendly people. They called the rental car company so I don’t have to. They communicated with me about the progress on my car. And my car was fixed as good as new. They even cleaned my car beyond my expectations.
Tara, Christine, and Will were all very helpful. Upon receiving my car they wrote the estimate within a week. They had my car for a total of 15 days to repair the car. Along the process, I received updates and feedback about the progress. They even asked if I wanted other work done while the car was in their possession. Overall, they were great to work with, and the job was done properly. I would highly recommend Dowling Bros to fix your car.
I had my rear right door repaired at Dowling Brothers Body Shop, and they did an absolutely outstanding job, it looks brand new again. When I later noticed a small issue after picking up the car, they were incredibly kind and responsive, helping me sort it out right away.
Even though I was a third-party claimant (not the insurance company’s direct customer), they were very proactive in assisting me with the insurance communication and the reimbursement for my rental car.
Everyone there was professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I truly appreciate their excellent service and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs quality auto body work.

Just had my wife’s car repaired at Dowling Brothers and could not recommend them enough. They went above and beyond and did an exceptional job. I’m very happy with the work performed and all the people I dealt with at the shop were great people.
Needed some body work done, brought the car down same day that I called and was given an estimate, I told them I wanted to go forward and they gave me a date to bring the car down. I was called the day before to confirm and two days later the car was finished. The car looked like new and workmanship was excellent, and best of all cost was less than estimated. Very satisfied and highly recommended
Buddy of mine reccomened Dowling brothers auto body and now I owe him a steak dinner haha this place did amazing work. I take care of my vehicles like crazy so you can imagine how nervous I was having a shop work on my tahoe. Work came out amazing no corners were cut, updates on work being done. I'll never hesitate to take any of my family members cars here if we need them again.

Had my car fixed after getting into a minor collision with a guard rail. They had everything fixed within a week and even cleaned the inside and outside of my car. I’m grateful for their honesty, too because they didn’t steal the 50$ I accidentally left in my car (gave it to me at the end.) I couldn’t recommend them enough!
Needed some body work from a minor accident on our 2010 Honda Pilot, and needed if quickly because my daughter was taking the car to college out of state. Not only did Dowling Brothers do a fantastic job on the body work and paint, as a courtesy they also had it detailed for me at Touch of Class because we were away on a family vacation and I didn't have time to get it there myself before my daughter had to leave for school. This 12-year old Pilot literally looks brand new! I'm a big believer in supporting local businesses and Dowling Brothers is a Saint James gem! Highly recommend!
I have used Dowling Brothers for over 20 years. They have repaired my personal vehicles and work trucks. Their quality is excellent and prices are fair.
We can always count on Dowling Bros to do a complete, professional job. Christine, the office manager, assists in all aspects, from advocating for you with your insurance company, to helping arrange rentals to use while your car is in the shop. Willie and the boys in the shop can always be counted on to do a professional job. Our Challenger came out of the shop looking better than it did the day we purchased it! We have been using them for decades because of their quality, and the fact that they stand behind their work! You do yourself a disservice not to consider them when you need body work/paint on your vehicle.

This is the third vehicle i have brought to Willie & Christine and once again my truck looked beautiful all repairs done to perfection. When i picked my truck it looked brand new it was cleaned inside and out and i would not think of ever going anywhere else.

A GREAT autobody shop!!! Willie and Christine take care of EVERYTHING! They even took care of issues with the adjuster. Plus the work is of the highest quality with OEM parts, not LKQ! Second time I've had to use them and again I have nothing but good things to say and my Dodge Ram looks like its new!
Just got our 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee back. Looks brand new. Willie and Christine handled all of the details including the tow and dealing with insurance company. Only took 7 days start to finish. I would highly recommend them. 5 Stars!
Flawless work, an incredibly quick turnover time and a friendly, professional staff make Dowling Brothers by far the best auto body repair center in Suffolk County! I just picked up my BMW M4 after a minor scuffle with a support beam in a parking garage. The car came back looking brand new, clean and detailed, with nary a sign of damage. Dowling Brothers is honest and very, very proficient when it comes to body work. Used them several times for minor to moderate damage to my car. Each time the vehicle came out looking perfect, like it had never been hit. Staff and owner are friendly and courteous. Best body shop I've used in the Smithtown St James area.
