Ordered/paid online and picked up in store. Bob was the staff member who helped me with other products. Great customer service here! And they don’t mind if you need to use the restroom :)
Went to auto zone and the associates there were completely useless. Drove down the road to advance auto parts and had an associate there help me. He was knowledgeable and took the time to diagnose the issue I was having. Really appreciate the help thank you again!
Location clean, employees friendly. With that said wipers that the store had available were literally twice as much as the same ones on Amazon. Fortunately I was able to wait a day to have shipped. I'm all for instant gratification and I understand the cost structures of each organization being different, however... May save the trip the next time.
Their communication is absolutely terrible. I needed a dipstick, and they assured me it was in their warehouse, promising I could pick it up the next morning. I even double-checked with the guy to make sure it would be ready, and he confidently guaranteed it. But when I showed up the next day, they were completely clueless and told me it wouldn’t be available for another two days! If I had just ordered from Amazon, I would’ve had it in a day and for half the price. Thanks to their incompetence, I had to use Uber to get to work and shuttle my daughter to daycare—absolutely unacceptable.
I needed to fix my daughters head lamp, the team was so great in helping me. Especially because the person we purchased the car from had put after market lamps in. Madison, Nick and Dua were all great in being knowledge and very nice and helpful. GREATLY APPRECIATED!!
I came into advance auto in Centereach for new wiper blades and went up to the counter to find out what I needed. Madison looked up the sizes I needed. I wasn't sure on what ones to get so she walked with me and gave me some recommendations. she explained to me the benefits and in addition let me know about the year warranty they offer for just a few dollars. That sold me!! never knew they had such a thing. She was extremely helpful and kind. I will continue coming back here for any of my car needs!!
The staff at this Advances Auto Parts parts are super helpful. I worked with a young lady who first called me when I placed an online order to tell me a part would be delayed 1 day (that was fine and she saved me a trip) and then helped me find the right part for a power washer repair. They provide great advise and service.
Best experience ever- ordered low beam bulbs - Madison took the time to show me how to change them and come to find out they just needed to be adjusted and still work - she was overly helpful and happy to go the extra mile for the customer 😀 lifelong customer here....
Came in with an intermittent issue with my car starting, unsure if I had to replace battery or starter. Bob and Ahmed came out and tested both the battery and starter and alternator and we’re able to narrow down the issue, and my battery will have to be replaced soon. Prompt and knowledgeable customer service, thanks guys I’ll be back for sure.

Had purchased a part at a different advance location... Part made my car go crazy. Tried to return it at another location, was told it was not returnable because it was an electronic part and I had to go where I bought it. Came to my local Centereach location, worked with Bob, Alex and James. They were fantastic! Listened to the issue, gave the refund no questions asked as it caused my car to malfunction worse. Thanks so much for having great customer service. Will only go to this location from here on out!
I need a new battery for my Dodge 1500 RAM. I went to AutoZone. The guy said he can't change the battery. It has to go to mechanic and the truck has to be shut down blah blah blah but he could sell it to me. I said no. Thanks, went to advance Auto met with James. Told him the story within 15 minutes. I had a new battery installed in my truck paid for and I was on my way. Only reason I didn't go there first because it was further from my house. Now I know for next time. Thank you

AT 7:02am Placed an online order "BATTERY-RED TOP OPTMA" for my 2017 Subaru Outback. I call the store at 1:03pm to confirm Installation at 4:00pm, I was given the Thumbs up 👍 by the representative on call. When I arrived at set time Robert W. Informed me he was the Only Representative in the store and could not perform the installation. Robert W. tried to remedy the situation by sending me up the block to his well known customers "Tilden For Brakes Car Care Center" to do the installation . The Battery was too small for my Vehicle, I returned the battery. While returning the battery (4:33pm) I noticed two other employees maning the store. When I confronted Robert W. Regarding the extra help he stated their working in a different part of the store. Hmm...🤔 STRANGE.This was a very displeasing experience!!
Great employees at this location, very helpful and offered awesome service. Had electrical problems with my vehicle last week, which they helped me out with. Definitely recommend this location.

In a time when everything can be ordered over the internet, the friendly staff and clean parking lot, have earned my repeat buisness. Even if they don't have it in stock...they get it by next day or even sometimes SAME DAY! I personally always look for the cheapest price, but because of the immensely helpful staff at the Centereach location...I will only shop there. Bravo to Advanced Auto parts for staffing such professional, courteous, knowledgeable gentleman. Thank you Bob and Dennis. I'll see you guys for my next project.
A very nice customer service and friendly people. I asked for an engine cleaner and the gentleman over there showed me a few products and gave a detailed description and how to use it.
Bought a battery in this location several years ago and it seemed to be losing strength if I park my car for a couple of weeks. Brought it in spoke to Mike and he gave me a couple of diagnosis that could be wrong and charge the battery up at no cost. Seem to be very Upfront and honest. Would definitely go back to this location again.
Normally I get decent service from them but my last visit wasn't that good. I wanted to buy a new battery. The salesperson pulled a listing of different batteries for my car. When I asked the difference between the lowest and highest cost batteries, the only response was that it all depends on how you drive. He couldn't give me a technical explanation. Either he didn't know what he was talking about or thought that I have no knowledge of cars and batteries. Anyway, I ended up buying the cheapest one. They did install it for free.
I brought in a battery I thought was defective. Turns out it was only the terminal on my car that was so corroded that it didn't take the charge once it had gotten weaker. Despite that I was able to get an upgrade and exchange for my battery. Dean, one of the guys behind the counter removed the old battery, installed a new one and even cleaned my terminals, all for free. He was really knowledgeable, told me what was causing the problem and rather than just sending me on my way made sure I had good connection between the car and the battery. He even offered to help and advise me on my future car projects when I told him I had an interest in DIY auto maintenance. What a great guy! Fantastic service! and I even got an upgrade on my battery!
