If i could rate 0 stars i would i attempted to call at 7:30am during regular hours to see if there was room for a walk in, was transferred to automotive and they picked up the phone didnt say a word and immediately hung up, so I drove in and I tell the guy id like an oil change he first says are you okay with waiting a few hours i said yea that's fine then he says hold on a minute scrolls through his tablet and goes honestly your car probably wont get done until 2:30-3:00pm were double booked on every appointment. I left and opened the Walmart app and there were appointments open from 10:30am-3:00pm. The technician could've just said he didnt want to do it but instead he crafted a lie, if they were short handed and just didnt have the people he could've just said that too but he didnt. I will not be returning to this walmarts auto center geneseo walmart is way better which is why I see alot of faces that used to work at hornell in geneseo

Life saver. We had a nail in our tire traveling. We got to Salamanca and the tire got a nail and went out and then the front went out. With a can of fix a flat and a donut we got back to our house in Hornell and took it in the next day. They popped 4 new tires on it without an appointment with a rarer size and for a good price! Competitors wouldn’t have had them in stock for a few days. Why 4? The other 2 were balding and best to just get her all done. To note the wait for a few days here would not usually an issue as far as competitors but it was this time because my kiddos go to school in KY. So we had to get them back without missing much more class! And safer now. Thanks!

I left my car knowing they were full for the night.... gotta notification the car had 2 new tires 45 minutes after the drop off.

Absolute dog water for any kind of service, or customer service. Made an appointment for a simple oil change a week in advance at 730am. Dropped off at 715am and was told they were already behind for the day. Then get a call at 9am telling me they don't have the oil filter for my car, and I need to go buy one from another store that is located across their parking lot then bring it in to them. Unfortunately nobody told me I was required to bring the parts for the oil change I was paying for, and even more unfortunate that common sense was ignored and they could not comprehend that they currently had possession of my car I would need to travel to shop for them. Maybe I got it wrong and they just let you use their lift for an oil change and the customer is required to bring their own oil, filter, and do the work themselves? I shoulda read the fine print.

Store sucks,the customer service people suck. Actually took 3 time's to pay my bills I'm pretty sure they just don't want to do there job.

I have to share a review. I tried the Walmart auto shop for the first time. I needed a battery and the low prices for my replacement was simply amazing. It would have been double or even triple the price anywhere else. Some people said don't go there but the service techs were helpful and polite. You'll need to quit complaining about in and out not fast enough. These guys are doing the best they can they get busy sometimes. I told them take your time, I walked around and my car was done in an hour and a half. So what ? That's why you get a battery for 75 bucks, installed. Give em a break !

If you're in a rush - do NOT use. Not quite sure what the purpose of setting an appointment is if they're just going to start the car whenever they want regardless. Appointment for a 4 tire install was for 5pm. Dropped the car (to 2 empty bays, no cars in front of us) at 4:51pm. Got notification that they started working on the car at 5:22pm. Received the notice they were done at 6:49pm. Any other tire shop you'd be in and out in 45 minutes tops (and that's a mom and pop shop without extra fancy lifts and things). Then to charge $20+ a tire is ridiculous. Last ditch effort, I'd use again but I'd make sure I have. 2+ hour slot available in my schedule.

I recently visited the Walmart Auto Care Center for a new battery and set of tires. Unfortunately, the service was slower than the estimated wait time, and despite paying for battery corrosion cleaning, it wasn't done properly after a 3-hour wait. During the initial review of service necessities, the staff questioned the need for battery corrosion service without prior knowledge. Struggling to open my car's hood, he later recommended the service, but the results were unsatisfactory, as evident in the pictures. Attempts to contact them for a redo have been futile, with no one answering the phone during their specified operating hours from 7 am to 7 pm, Sunday to Saturday.

Waiting in line over 30 minutes. One guy to check you in. 6 workers. One car in the bay. Guess it takes 5 workers to put tires on a truck. Very poor service. I'm not sure why they have to go out to the car to check...even for a simple oil change.

Walked in and waited 10 minutes. I was the only person in line. When I asked the desk if someone could help me he walked out and shouted "you've got one at the wall". To which the service tech replied, "yea I know, were busy". Very unprofessional and the lack of customer service just goes to show the only reason people go to Walmart to get their vehicles serviced are the low prices. If your in a hurry or like being treated like a customer, go elsewhere.

Thank you to Hornell Walmart’s TLE techs for servicing my car. I absolutely appreciate the work you do. As for some of these reviews…. Something to keep in mind while reading these reviews, the techs are doing their job X’s TWO at minimum. If your service time is slow do not berate their service, berate the corporation for not having the proper staff hired and scheduled to handle the heavy work load that moves through those doors on a daily basis. Plan ahead and make an appointment and even then keep in mind they have others walking in without an appointment that they may try to squeeze in, in order to keep customer service going. Do not be a pin head.

Needed tiers and a oil change for about a week I’ve googled places called places no reasonable prices for the work I needed done. I was curious as to how the auto center would be. They asked for my name, address, contact number being that I didn’t have an appointment I was just looking at tiers for my car the Associate said he would be able to put them on Mount and balance (all season Douglas tiers with road hazard insurance)I was shocked. I asked did they do oil changes they said yes. So I purchased the tiers got the oil changed I watch as they drove my baby in the work station the employee put plastic protector over the Steering wheel also put gloves on and sprayed air Sanitizer I was so impressed I knew she was in good hands I browsed the strip mall came back to pick her up she drove so nice. Work and Installation price phenomenal. GREAT WORK

I thought the tire was flat in my car one time because of tire sensors coming on and it driving funny. It looked pretty flat too when I got out. Took it to them but they said it was just leaking a little air. They took the time to look it over, air it up, and then sent me off without charging me. The guys in there are super nice and not out to take advantage. I trust them to do my tires and maintenance now because of how I was treated that one time when I was stressed out and worried my car would need more than it did.

We were told it would be a hour to get 2 tires put on that were in stock, came back 1 1/2hrs later the car was not even started! Would not recommend them.
