Many shops aren't familiar enough with hybrid systems to properly service them, and approach them like regular gasoline vehicles. Unfortunately, this can result in expensive repairs, and a lot of headaches. (Don't ask me how I know.)
Now I'm really picky about where I take my hybrids, and I'm thrilled I took a chance with the humble guys at this shop!

Mr. Wheeler is a phenomenal mechanic, but more importantly he is an honest one who cares for his customers. he has refused to do work that is not needed and explained why to some who knows just enough to put gas in their car and drive it mostly competently. Thank you Mr. Wheeler!

I brought my car to the dealer because i kept hearing a rubbing noise. They told me they needed to resurface the rotors and service the calipers. It was going to cost around $1k. This didn't sound right to me because it's a newer car.
Steve looked at it and said my brake system looked fine and that the noise was most likely coming from my tires that were almost bald. He hooked me up with new ones, and it fixed the noise.
This is the kind of place that you don't *really* want to write a five-star review for because they are already so busy and you don't want to make it harder to get an appointment. However, no one can argue the facts - they do amazing work, are excellent about squeezing you in when necessary, and offer incredibly fair prices. My mother has been using Wheeler automotive for decades now, and now they are my garage as well. Both of us are single women, and we've never felt like we got taken advantage of. You can't beat the service.
We were traveling and our emergency brake failed. As busy as they were, one of their kind repair guys helped us out. He was very pleasant, wouldn’t take any money.

Steve runs his shop very efficiently. Appointments are prompt, service is excellent, your questions are answered and your problems solved . Wheeler Auto has been my choice for over 20 years to service my Toyota vehicles and I have never been disappointed.
They know Asian cars-fair pricing, experts with Honda’s and Toyota’s in particular. Scheduling shocks for a Miata installation soon. Owner answers phone every time.

Drove 1200 miles for this guy to work on my Tacoma. 2 people in Florida had no idea why the check engine light was on, regardless of their efforts. Steve had it fixed within an hour.
Steve Wheeler is the acknowledged Toyota guru in the area. I've been referred to him twice by other shops when a special tool or arcane procedure was required -- he did a good job both times.
Steve knows Toyotas inside and out. Wheeler is not out to get you and you will get an honest expert opinion about what actually needs to be done, and what is just an annoying noise you can live with.
Best garage I've ever taken my business to. I take my Tundra to them because their knowledge of Toyotas is very impressive. Recommended by the dealer I purchased my truck from and by family members who have their Honda civic serviced there. 5 stars awesome garage and very cool older Toyotas always outside to check out!
Excellent mechanics, however OVERBOOKS AND DOESN'T COMPLETE SCHEDULED WORK. I scheduled an appointment 2 weeks in advance. Dropped my car off for 9 hours and NONE of the work was even started. The owner promised the work would be done at the end of the day and it wasn't. So disappointed.
I have always trusted the guys at Wheeler with my Corolla. I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else. They often offered used parts at a discounted rate (good deal in my book for things like window motors) and told me when I really didn't need something done with my aging car.
