A great night out on the boardwalk listening to some music.
Look for them on Facebook to get the schedule to see what bands are playing in advance. Some better than others.
Cute spot for concerts, movies, and other events! It can get crowded on the boardwalk during performances, but it's great to have a free option for music at the beach.
We saw a band called WHO'S NEXT . Had a good time listening ? to them , and glad for the ocean breeze that kept us cool .

I went there as a kid. I still love this place. The food options are solid. The popcorn, hot dogs, fries are delicious. Bands are selected very carefully and are very good. The staff is always welcoming and makes you feel at home.
Directly off the boardwalk, Jones Beach band shell is a free venue that puts on various shows throughout the summer months. Although there has been a lull in shows since covid, things are starting to come back to normal. The venue has bleacher seats around its exterior. The main floor area is fine for standing, although most people bring folding chairs. The music can also be heard from the boardwalk if you opt to sit there. Better acts fill up fast, like Beatles tribute bands. Police don't bother you if you're drinking something out of a solo cup. Restrooms are conveniently located nearby as is a restaurant. Parking is a bit of a walk, especially if you have a cooler without wheels. Although it's not like a Jones beach amphitheater volume level, I'd still suggest having earplugs on hand. Although it's outdoors, smoking is not permitted within the walls of the band shell.
Great show Foreign/Journey. Just a note we where able to sing along because i could hear all the words not like accross the way at Northwell. There the shows are so loud i have no idea what their singing.
The Beatles cover band was great it was nice to see the band the band play and the comedians that came on before the Act was very good too the new extensions to Jones Beach Restaurant area the bar area was very good afterwards were you able to still get some food for a little bit and the ride home was great too
Field 4. ⛱️⛅ I do believe this is my first time here and I already like it. For the time we're in with the pandemic ?, I'm glad it's not too crowded and the people here are keeping seperated. Also, the internet connection is outstanding. ???
Different events every night during the summer, whether it's a movie showing, line dancing, or who knows what else they come up with. All for the price of admission too, which since most of the events don't start till the evening, is the great price free. Field 4 is the closest parking field to the band shell and it's located right near the bathrooms and main concession stand as well as the games area.
It is an excellent place to have a nice time i liked the the beach, and the board walk and i also enjoyed the playing area with my kids. I recommend Jones beach to the whole world.
The kids were so excited to watch some superhero movie and at the last minute they changed it to some cartoon.
Waste of time. Waste of a drive.
The staff members were so damn rude when I asked if there was a mixup.

Great place to see a concert and free! My nephews band, Boxer played, tailgate party, then awesome music. Bring your own chairs, sit wherever you want, so great seats
I hadn't been there in years. Its pretty much as i remember it. Quite clean, just some bottle caps and such in the sand, soft sand so it doesnt hurt your feet even if you step on them. The lifeguards are respectful and caring here, they kindly made sure people were swimming in the proper area for our safety. There has been a walkway laid down, to the beach, all the way down to behind the lifeguard stand, we could have brought a stroller for my 3 yr old and that would have been helpful had i known. We rented an umbrella for $10 with a $20 deposit. It was a lifesaver. There are people selling ice cream on the beach. The water was clean with no trash and i didnt see any jellyfish.
Bandshell is great for free summer concerts. Located on the boardwalk near concessions and shop. Close by to mini golf, Shuffleboard, playground, restaurant, new games area and more. Great to go to boardwalk at night. No parking fee. Great breeze. Enjoy the boardwalk this summer. Look for the lineup of free concerts. Recently enjoyed Beatles tribute band.
