Fantastic concert venue sitting right on the water on Long Island N.Y. I have been to concerts venues all over there country and a few internationally and this is by far one of the best concert venues ! There is TONS of parking in multiple parking areas. You are welcome to tailgate and nobody ever says anything when you do. There are pota potties at time and if you are in the parking area adjacent to the venue there are bathrooms on the bay side. They did a major renovation over the past few years and the venue is now fantastic. Security is a efficient and there are plenty of entry points. They added a ton of bathrooms which is very helpful. They increased the amount of food and beverage offering and varied them also. They added merch outlets as well which cuts down on the lines. There are no bad seats and I have sat everywhere from up top to right down in front and they are all great. When you sit down below, the seating can flood a little at high tide which is still fun when it happens and I have never seen anyone complain, it's just part of the experience. Leaving the parking lot is great because it's easy to get out and get right back on the highway. If you have never seen a show out there, take a look at the summer line up and enjoy !

I really mean this when I say it, but this was one of the best places I’ve seen a concert. I drove from Bergen County NJ and it took over 2 hours to get there with traffic, and more to get home, but it was 100% worth it. To sit there (or stand and dance!) listening to your favorite band while the sun sets in the distance was just awesome. On your way to your seats they had water bottle filling stations, merch and places to get food. In my opinion there isn’t a bad seat in the theater. Both times I went our seats were up towards the higher level and we saw and heard everything perfectly. When leaving though if you time it right you might be able to get out of the parking lot quick. Otherwise emptying of the lot takes time because there was only 2 exits from what I remember. But you have that issue with any concert venue you go to.

Don't like how long it takes to get from queens lol. Seats are pretty tight, but I stood most of the concert so it wasn't a big concern. Audio was great and at night it looks really pretty.

I have never been here before and I was surprised. If there's another concert here, I'll definitely come back.

A mission and a half to get to. I wouldn't go unless your driving. Our experience was great mostly in part to us having the v.i.p section. Show was also not sold out so it definitely helped to make it easier to get in and out. Cool venue. Food service was really really slow so keep that in mind. Aside from that we had a blast.

Jones beach theater is the best, because the service is nice but if your seat is all the way up prepare for a big hike of stairs but the good thing is that there’s a elevator

As an European that was at their first concert in the US I was impressed by the huge venue, and all of the food and drink choices (never saw that in Europe). There are multiple stands where you can order real food, cocktails, drinks, and snacks. There are a lot of toilets which is very useful. The security process was fast. The venue is beautiful and huge, on the water, which is also something that I never saw before. We had a great experience, the staff is very helpful and we even got free goodies. Minus one point because we sat in disabled seats and the placement of these is not really far from the stage but it is very one the side so you don’t get a great view, and these are the only accessible seats. Also, important point: it is impossible to get there in public transport, you HAVE to take an Uber. For those wondering how to, I learned the hard way there’s a shuttle ONLY IN THE SUMMER (my show was in early October so no shuttle was available despite what I saw on the Internet) To get there from NYC, I first went to Penn Station, then took a train to Jamaica, until Freeport station, from there you have to take an Uber (or walk 2 hours, your choice…). The ride is only 15 mn long and cost ~ 30$. Getting back from the concert will be harder because everyone is getting out at the same time so be prepared for long waits and very high prices (~90$ for a ride back to Freeport). This is a very big problem for those with limited resources and it would be great for the venue to organize a shuttle service for an additional fee (or even free)

Free parking and one of the best settings for a show in the northeast. For the right band, worth driving hours to catch a show here. Can't wait to come back

Lots of positives and negatives here. The atmosphere was awesome and so nice to relax on the beach before going to the show. Free parking is a huge deal, make sure you arrive early for a good spot. There were sound issues that were noticeable from the beginning where the track seemed to get fuzzy and cut in and out which was not the bands fault. The actual sound of the music was very okay because it’s totally outdoors there’s no way to hone in the band so it was kind of quiet unless you were in the pit which was disappointing. The workers all seemed pretty nice. If we were to come back we would make sure to get pit tickets because or else you can’t feel the music fully. Not a bad venue but just different and maybe not for someone who wants to really hear the music to its fullest

I love the upgrades they've done with Jones beach theater. The grassy seating area, the photo station, and the sandbag games to play before the concert started was all really nice features.

SEPT 12. PAPA ROACH (WHO KILLED IT) Flags where NOT at half staff. That is not an oversight. It's disheartening as a Florida MAN who was born and raised in NYC that I personally had to bring those flags to half mast. NY. Do better. We can all do better by not being silent, and having honest intellectual debates. Thank You Charlie.

Had a Great time. The event was great, seats were great, bathrooms and concession were accessible. Overall great venue. Only give 4 stars because they could have done better with traffic control after the event, the parking lot was a mess to get out of because of lack of employee assistance to guide the traffic

The theater at Jones Beach Field 5 is beautiful with the ocean view around the stage. The upgrade made a few years ago is fantastic; it holds 15,000. Unfortunately the parking lot does not allow for that enhancement so unless you want to spend $80 to park in reserved parking nearby, you will have to park in field 4 and walk over to field 5. And they allow anyone to take up a spot next to their car to sit and eat or hang out. The traffic going there or leaving is pretty bad even when you leave early. The place itself is especially colorful at night and the seats comfortable. The concession area is huge with a large selection of the usual but with delicious mixed drinks (as with most places, expensive). The band's are very good; my most recent escapade was to see the Doobie Bros and The Coral Reefer Band. Both were amazing. Its great to have a place nearby that now has better accommodations (dressing rooms, etc) to attract major bands. Overall: Easier to get to than other major places for bands, still cheaper for the night out, and a could not beat atmosphere with the birds, water view, and sky above you.

What a fantastic facility! Neil Young on a nice summer evening, free parking/partying, beautiful stage with an amazing background. Even the pit turned into a nice lagoon thanks to the tide(no one allowed there for that very reason). Just amazing!

Awesome place to see a concert! Every seat is so accessible and just a great spot, great vantage point to see everything!! I’ve been here several times and every time gets better and better!! Food is ok…tailgating is allowed and tons of fun! Don’t go anywhere else!!

Concerts at the beach, view of the water, lots of places to catch up with your crew for eats & drinks, before moving to your seats to rock out to band. Wicked venue, great vibe.

Great experience attending AJR concert. The courtyard space after you pass through the ticket entrance is where all the action takes place. Don’t bring any bag bigger than a pouch, they won’t let you in. If it’s big make sure it’s clear see through. It was chilly to sit in the seats so we opted to grab food and enjoy the music coming from stage under a beach umbrella on the ground level.

One of my favorite places to see a show! Water on either side...watching the sun go down before the band comes on...awesome. The renovations are beautiful. Worth paying for Premier parking...in and out in no time flat!

The food was good and I loved all the extra seating so we didn't feel rushed to our seats. The weather was great and for the first time parking was a breeze. It's a great venue for a concert

This is my favorite venue to watch live shows. Surrounded by water. 2 huge screens and the nighttime ambiance sets the mood up. It gets a little chilly at night if you get cold easily, so a light hoody or long sleeve would do. I saw Pantera here, and everything from staff, cleanliness, and getting around the venue is very easy. They revamped this venue, and it looks awesome. Beverage and food are regular fare and expensive, but i guess when in Rome... I totally recommend seeing a show here!

Beautiful venue, amazing distance from home if you live in Nassau county. Not too busy but you will rarely get the top performers of the era, usually people coming back from hiatus, new artists, or this; from the Kidz Bop concert

Jones Beach Theater had been an amazing experience. I'd been fortunate enough to be able to have a friend attend with me to one of the Russ In The Wild Tours ft Big Sean and Sabrina Claudio. The artist's performances and atmosphere were amazing. The artist were welcoming and heartfelt, as they interacted with the audience. I remember someone passed out and Big Sean stopped his performance so that someone could be aided during the concert. He also had security to hand out water to almost everyone and had them on alert to watch the crowd to make sure that no one else passed out. I'd been in awe of attentiveness and concern. Again it had been an amazing experience & I truly enjoyed myself. I'd also gained a tremendous amount of respect for all the artists that performed, especially Big Sean. I appreciate each artist who explained the meaning and inspirations for each song performed. I appreciate them even more for appreciating the people who attended and how each artist expressed what it meant to them that we knew the words to the music performed.

First time here. The staff is incredibly helpful and friendly. I am handicapped and as soon as I walk through security I was approached and asked how they could assist me. I asked if they had room for my children to sit with me and they said no problem. Took me in a wheelchair to a great spot and I didn’t have to stumble around with my cane and slow others up. The sweet attendant offered to stop along the way and said he would come back at the end to get me. Never have I been treated so well at any venue. I’ll be back. Not only for the beautiful view on the water, the awesome artists, but then you too that with premier service!! Great job JBT!!!

This place is a staple in my life, and I always visit it every summer. The selection of attractions has been quite good, although prices have significantly increased over time. Nonetheless, you’re still guaranteed an amazing experience with the beach and the wind in your hair. The acoustics are what they are, but the goal is to have a good time and enjoy yourself. My only complaint is that the seating has become much worse after renovations. The seats are now so narrow that it feels like you’re sitting right on top of each other.

A view from section 201 row PP for the Halsey concert. The 100 is accessible if you walk down the stairs but there's a guard checking tickets. The view from the 100s section is only marginally better. Row PP which is about eight rows from the back is underneath the overhang of the 300s section above. About four rows up from PP is where overhangs protection stops. I witnessed an empty plastic bottle falling down from above. Luckily the seats in that row (LL?) were just vacated. Jones Beach management needs to invest in cameras that monitor the crowds. God forbid the object was something heavier deliberately thrown down by someone above. They could get severely injured. The sound was pretty decent considering it's an open air venue. Thankfully Halsey's concert relied heavily on the videos played on the Jumbotron. And they had fantastic camera operators. But if we were relying on just the naked eye? You can't see crap from that far. The picture with Halsey is using the 10x tele on my S23Ultra. ? If you're healthy enough to stand on your feet for hours, go have a blast in the general admission pit. Be young while your body allows it! Just know when there's a full moon, water from the high tides will enter the pit and you will be sloshing around calf deep.

I went with my lifelong friends & we tailgated before the concert. The lines entering the venue went smoothly, plenty of staff to guide us & it was a nice cool night with an orange moon showing a reflection of the water on the side of the stage. Beautiful & sound system was great, screens also if you couldn't see . Restroom lines very organized & quick lolol. Great concert & my daughter's and family got me the tickets for Father's Day. Carlos Santana ? legend & his wife is amazing playing the drums, but the whole band are all talented. ???????

Have not been there in a long while the stadium is beautiful and the views from the upper deck terrific. The tall beers are $19.00 each so plan on tailgating and the speed pass is just for entering the facility not parking total waste of $20.00. Saw Santana and Counting Crows great evening and great views very peaceful night.

such a beautiful venue! The view is stunning! Bring your rain gear, check their bag policies for clear bags etc and be aware the road on the way home is very dark/watch for deer. Excellent vendors, great service. I’ll see another show here this summer and have for the last couple years - it’s been a wonderful experience each time.
