Field 6 at Jones Beach is pure bliss! The vibe is incredibly nice, with the soothing rhythm of ocean waves crashing on the shore creating a perfect escape.

I visited Field 6 last year with a friend and really enjoyed it, but this time my experience was different. The umbrella rental service didn’t open until 11 a.m., even though everyone told me it should open at 10. They announced it twice over the walkie-talkie, but it didn’t open at 10, nor at 10:30, and finally only at 11. I had to buy emergency umbrellas from the shop at $35 each, and even then I had to exchange them twice because they were defective. On the positive side, the restrooms were very clean, considering how many people were there, and the parking lot is very close to the beach access, which is convenient. What I didn’t like was that the sand was somewhat dirty—I kept stepping on trash that shouldn’t have been there. Overall, I’d call the experience pretty average. The beach gets very crowded after 3 p.m., so I recommend arriving early, bringing everything you’ll need, using the restroom when necessary, and then going straight back to your spot to enjoy your time more comfortably.

Easy to access and navigate. So happy it was a painless experience. We drove from Harlem, parked in lot 6 (NO CASH) and walked less than five minutes to the entrance of the beach where there were indoor restrooms, outdoors showers to rinse, a few spots to grab food and drinks.

Love the place- clean, with the full ocean view and boardwalk. ' plenty of parking.

Half of the crowd packs up by 5 or 6pm Best time for conservative females/Muslim families to enjoy the beach with less scorching sun and crowd. Muslim families who go to enjoy the beach in their own attire have no issues of any sort whatsoever Bathrooms very well managed Board walk is allowed for cyclists as well

Parking was great, two steps to the beach. Beach was joyful, only music was played too loud by people nearby, even it s prohibited.

We came down to Jones beach. To see the Keith Urban concert at the theater, we decided to take the kids to the ocean, 2 of the kids has never seen it before. So that was awesome for all of us to see the ocean with them. They played for hours. There was a lot of people. It was a little bit cold and windy. It was the day before Father's Day. But it was still wicked nice and warm. The Sun ended up coming out. Around twelve thirty. It was such a great day.It was a great weekend, great trip.I absolutely love long island I love wantage I love everything everything about the whole entire place. The whole trip was just great from leaving to getting to Long Island seeing Jones beach, seeing the theater, finding the beach and taking the kids swimming all day. It was just so great. I absolutely love this place. Everybody needs to come here. It was perfect. There's absolutely nothing bad to say about anywhere. Around this whole place. So much to do so much to see too many things to mention you will love this place. Absolutely, everybody needs to come here, especially families and kids

The FourLeaf Air Show at Jones Beach State Park is scheduled for this Memorial Day weekend, Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day. The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds are set to headline the event, marking their 10th appearance at the show . Today’s practice session on Friday, May 23, began after 12:00 noon, due to the low cloud ceiling and weather conditions. However, please note that the decision to fly is at the discretion of the pilot in command and is not guaranteed. The show when it was decided to carry on, the Thunderbirds did not disappoint! For the main event, spectators can view the performances from anywhere along the beachfront at Jones Beach State Park. I was at Field 6 where I got the most awesome footage! Show center is located at the Central Mall . Admission to the air show is free, with a $10 parking fee on Saturday and Sunday. Parking lots open at sunrise and are available on a first-come, first-served basis . For the most up-to-date information, including weather-related updates and performer schedules, please refer to the official FourLeaf Air Show website.

It's the off season but still a fabulous place to visit especially on a sunny day. There is always something new going on, this year's project is well underway. Remove the concession stand and construct a huge outdoor swimming pool .... great idea. Maintenance workers are busy cleaning and replacing. Coffee shops are open for the morning and afternoon customers. Tailgaters and sunbathers are a loyal group, gotta love it. Looking forward to an awesome summer ?️

Jones Beach is the most popular public beach on the east coast of the United States, with six million visitors each year. The annual Bethpage Air Show makes Jones Beach famous. It is a great place for summer leisure and children love it very much.

The beach is stunning, with soft sand .The sound of the waves crashing is incredibly soothing, creating a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The fresh sea breeze and the warm sun make it the perfect place to unwind and escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Whether you're taking a walk along the shore, swimming in the ocean, or simply lounging on the sand, the experience is truly refreshing.

Nice place. Parking fee is $10. We were lucky there was a free ev charging station spot when we got there around 11am. It's a beautiful and clean beach. Life guard and ranger are there. Only one thing I don't like is someone smoked somewhere.

I have come to Jones Beach many times over the years. Nice big beach with lots of room. Sand is not rocky and good for kids to build sand castles with. Plenty of shops with food and necessities along the boardwalk during the warm season as well as accessible bathrooms. I did come here looking for sea glass but there were only a couple pieces after over an hour. Beaches are very clean with minimal trash compared to other shores I've visited. It's a nice place to walk along.

Chime to Field 6 if you want to be in a no radio zone, peaceful and no alcohol on the beach. They sell mixed drinks just outside the snack shop there by the parking lot. Get here early! Everyone knows this is the nicest section and this lot gets full fast and they will close it when it does. Like 9am early. Topless sunbathing is also allowed in this section.

Field #6 is a nice place. It is the start of the walking trail along the boardwalk and is very close to the ocean compared to the other parking fields. It has a slew of BBQs and other amenities as well. You can also walk over to Field #5, which is by the bay and the amphitheater. It's all around a great location. Just beware that this Beach location is a no radio zone .

This is such a beautiful section of the beach to walk along the sand or even on the boardwalk. It's great to take the family or to go for a long walk. There is free parking after 6 PM.

I love Jones Beach ever since I was a kid, Yes! they had beaches that long ago! Field 6 has plenty of parking, nice people and very clean sand! Great place for everyone!

PROS: No entrance fee and virtually empty car park on weekdays. Restrooms. Showers. Dark blue sea water. No lifeguards. Too cold for swimming. In May 2021 this was the only Jones Beach car park that was open with accessto the boardwalk. Bring a jacket. The sea breeze is stronger than wherever you're coming from. CONS: None. Huge beach.

Beautiful spot, and our favorite lot! If need be, it's right near the bathroom and a place to grab a bite to eat, but far enough away to find a place on the sand for peace all your own. It was high tide, a new moon, and a hurricane out in the ocean, so the water was way in and the waves higher during this trip. Handicap accessible parking. Since I can't visit during the summer due to my MS, I love going there with my teenagers beginning of Fall and in the Spring, although last summer, when he had someone to bring him, my son learned to swim and wanted to go everyday! It's much less crowded as well. I've been there for sunrises and sunsets. Perfect for a quick getaway when the stress of everyday starts to take its toll!

Nice clean beach, not crowded as they were only at 50% capacity to enable social distancing 8/3/2020. The broadwalk was quiet and the indoor showers were closed. Plenty of restrooms. This was my 1st visit so I am not sure how busy it gets under normal circumstances (non covid pandemic times). The zip lines and game areas were open as were the souvenir shops I parked in field 2 and walked the broadwalk to field 6 and back then on to enjoy the water. I still prefer the water further out into Long Island, I usually go to Robert Moses State Park beach
