They towed my car because someone had called that it was parked on their property. He wanted 800$ to release the car and I had to pay 500$ for it. Felt like paying a ransom! He towed it no more than 4-5 miles
I recently used Labounty’s Wrecker Service for a police-ordered tow after an accident. My car was totaled but in a standard position on the roadway — not rolled over or in a ditch. The original bill was $3,700, and the final bill ended up $3,240, leaving me to pay $2,240 out of pocket. Both my insurance and the other insurance involved felt the charges were high for the service.
I also attempted to settle directly with the company before considering further action, but my offer was declined. Based on my experience, I feel the charges were higher than typical towing practices in the area.
Was a little rude on the phone in my opinion. I wanted to get a quote from him on a tow service and because i mentioned the towing would be from Ausable Forks, he actually told me to try one of the places in Ausable Forks. So instead of giving services, he pointed me in the direction of someone else. Don't understand that. Then he very quickly hung up after telling me to call one of the places out here.
I’m so grateful for the help I received after my accident. He was courteous, professional, and honest. He gave me a great deal and helped relieve some of the stress I faced in this difficult time. Thank you!
My first time dealing with a tow and I'm asking questions to no avail. Disrespectful, rude, and intolerant behavior from their employee. Highly recommend disregarding them.
My brother called to be towed out of a ditch and he showed up said he couldn't help him. Said he didn't know anyone else who could help him. Drove off and left him there. Extremely rude. Do not use!
Jeff went above and beyond for us when my kids were in an accident. I had trouble with the other party's insurance, he helped get the answers I needed. Then, on the way to get our items from the car, we were in ANOTHER accident. I called Jeff to tell him we couldn't make it, and he was there to pick up this vehicle within minutes. It's been a long drawn out process, and he's been nothing but nice and helpful EVERY time we've spoken. I HIGHLY recommend his services!
The man who dealt with my daughter was terribly rude. Oh, he had no problem taking the cash, but then complained after the fact that he "should have charged more". Well, "Sir", if you know your business as well as one would think you should, you'd know the appropriate amount to charge a customer. You were paid what you quoted ($125, plus tax). The way you speak to customers is unprofessional and we would not recommend your service to others. One star was given, only as it would not let me post without entering a value.
The driver was incredibly rude, Crude and crass to my daughter; left her in tears, and took her car after we had informed him that we didn't want him to tow the car and we had another tow truck on the way... He took the vehicle anyways.
Extremely slow, showed up more than twice the amount of time they said it originally would take to get to me. They also charged me an additional $30 just because I was a literally couple miles outside of Plattsburgh and they said it would take longer. They also called me 40 mins after I had originally called and said they were just getting out of Plattsburgh and asked if I still needed their service. My issues was I looked myself out of my car like are you kidding me ? Do I still need your service ? Obviously I’m locked out of my damn car.
