Very quick, effective and friendly service. We had a flat tire coming back from vacation at the airport and we were back on the road less than an hour later. Thank you for everything!
If I could give this less than one star I would. I don't recommend this place to anybody.
My husband went off the road in a recent snowstorm ,right around the corner from our house and Gallaghers was called to fill in for another tow company. I called Olivia ,at my insurance that day and wanted the car towed from Gallahers yard to my house until it got into a body shop. I have a 2023 Toyota Crown, wasn't sure how long it would take as all the body shops are booking out months .
Bob, at Gallagher's, at first told Olivia he did not want another tow company at his yard. It just seemed to get worse from there. Olivia would call us back every time she spoke with Bob. Our insurance was told "the car is damaged, it isn't drivable, it has to be driven to the body shop", Bob, then hung up on her, when she asked for an invoice to pay him. My husband then did a three-way call with Olivia and Bob where he then said" he couldn't release the car because if it was brought back to our house we may drive it and he don't want to be liable".... My husband had to threaten to get the police involved then Bob agreed to let somebody pick up the car. He then told Olivia he wanted cash to pick up the car. At one point apparently told Olivia if the car wasn't picked up by the end of the week that their shop was going to be closed for a month. It took us 2 days of being on the phone continuously with our insurance ,, and their roadside assistance Agero( which sucked ) and Bob to get the car back. The best part was the only damage to the car was a little damage to the bumper! Gallagher's took a hard situation and made it worse, they seemed shady from the start and seemed to want to just keep the car to collect the storage fees I think. This place was a nightmare to work with. My advice if you need a tow is to call another company because you'll be fighting to get your car back.
My husband is a retired veteran and he deserved better treatment than this.
Thank God for Gallaghers! After getting jerked around by another company and 1 1/2 hrs on side of Rt 87, got a hold of these guys. They were helpful, got to us within the hour and got us and our bike to repair shop on a Sunday no less. Props to our driver, (Mark?), who knew what he was doing & friendly ~ K & Al

Thank you so much for getting our vehicle from Plattsburgh to our house near Lake Clear. Eventho, you had never been to our next of the woods. You found us. Hopefully, you will come back for Fall Foliage. Our mountains are beautiful in fall colors.
Tonight I locked my keys in my 2019 Mitsubishi car with push button locks. I had put a soda bottle in the cup holder on top the keys and it locked the car and would not let me unlock it! (Yes both sets were in the car) I called Gallagher`s not knowing what to do, the woman on the phone said she would have her driver call me to see if he could help me and within minutes he called and arrange to meet me 20 minutes later. A very efficient and friendly gentleman drove up and within 3 minutes unlocked my car :-) EASY he said!
We were very grateful and was charged $56.60, sweet!
5 minutes later I received a follow up call from the woman I originally talked to and was asked if I meet with the driver, if he was able to help and how much did he charge me. WOW talk about a professionally and polished business, no price gouging happening here. I would 1000% recommend you call Gallagher`s you will not be disappointed.

I went through my insurance for the tow. The tow truck driver David, was absolutely amazing. He even called me to tell me my car had arrived at the shop! Absolutely recommend 10 out of 10!
Service was fast, driver was very friendly and professional, no damage was done to the vehicle, and cost was only four-hundred and eighty six dollars for thirteen miles of towing.
I wish I could remember the name of the driver that picked me up. I’m here from out of town so when my car broke down I was upset and stressed. I had no idea where to bring my car to have it looked at. He was so patient, gave me a great recommendation, and even took a look at my car for me before taking it to the mechanic.
They have excellent service they were right on time and took great care of the car and delivered it to where I wanted it with no problems. Five star recommendation.

These guys are great. They operate 25hrs a day and average about 30mins daytime and 45mins nighttime depending where you bbn are in or around the greater Plattsburgh New York area. Always make sure to get you and your vehicle where they're going. Work with almost all Roadside assistance programs through insurance companies. GEICO. PROGRESSIVE etc
Today, my car broke down right in the city of Plattsburgh at a busy intersection. I called Triple A for a tow, and Gallagher’s was there in less than 20 minutes. They were quick, professional, and super friendly. I am very impressed with my experience with them.
Was called for a triple a tow. Refused to tow a vehicle that was covered by triple a and convinced the company it wasn't covered. Vehicle was too large and heavy. Towed it to the garage with a chevy Tahoe easily. Always refuse to have them touch my vehicles.I would rather wait for another company like hoffmans than use this one.
Extremely helpful and nice towing company. I called them through my insurance company and they arrived exactly when they said and got my car to my apartment after my alternator died.
Accident victims beware.... my son was in an accident on August 14 caused by another driver. The police called Gallagher’s because we had no prior towing experience. The kept telling the other drivers insurance company, Progressive that they couldn’t come get the vehicle which was totaled because we still have items in it. When previously my son went there and was told my the employees take what you want and the rest gets thrown away. Today, the female owner of the company, finally allows them to come take the vehicle and informs the insurance company that we owe $455. So, this accident that was caused from someone else failing to yield the right away, not only cost us s vehicle but we now owe Gallagher’s money. The insurance company asks if they could make a deal since we werent at fault and we’re told “no, we don’t make deals, that’s how we make our money”. Just be aware that if you’re vehicle is towed there, it might be held hostage so that they can rack up storage fees!!
Got a AAA tow and the driver was friendly and helpful. In fact I forgot my iPad in the cab of his truck and the dispatcher notified me that they could bring it to my location ( about 1 hour away) the next time they were headed out since my vehicle was non operational.
Had a flat tire in my own front yard.. caught a nail! USAA roadside assistance had Gallagher towing send Abraham over who had my spare on in less than 5 minutes. Professional and friendly and bonus style points because he had on a Santa hat!
Beware! I had an accident on August 10 and 3 business days later Gallagher's won't release my car to the body shop. I use Geico, a reputable insurance company, and now Geico will put the pressure on them to release the car or they will go tow the car to the body shop themselves! This towing company was called by the state trooper after my accident who had them "in their rotation." I will be reporting them to the state police as a shady towing company and asking them to drop them from their rotation. I guess each extra day Gallagher's keeps my car on their lot they can charge extra money for. Little do they know that my family is local and I will be spreading the word.
We had a simple fix - restart the vehicle but the gentleman was great. Cheerful and early!! I am thankful I have AARP Roadside Service but glad they have Gallagher Trucking to turn a not so good day into a much better day!! Thank you Gallagher Trucking!!
