I had the best experience at Matthews Ford in Norwich NY, the staff was extremely helpful. The sales team R. Gonzalez and E. I am an insurance agent and I had the pleasure to work with Mike Grant yesterday. He wasn't like your typical salesman, he was very personable and understanding, especially when our outlook went down and we had to find another way to get him our insureds proof of insurance. I even spoke to him about my experience with my own vehicle, he told me his dealership would be more than willing to help me with my issues. Great guy and will most certainly consider working with him on any future personal vehicle purchases.

I want to thank the service and parts department at Matthews Ford in Norwich for replacing the batteries in my key fobs. I currently lease a Nissan Rogue from Matthews Nissan in Clay. After receiving alerts from my vehicle that the key batteries were low I decided to go to Matthews in Norwich since I live near by and ask if they would replace the batteries. Without hesitation I was sent to the parts department and was told by the gentleman at the service desk entrance that he would let them know I was coming. I was immediately met by a service technician who took both key fobs and replaced the batteries for me. I asked how much I owe them and was told nothing. I have received the same type of service at this department when I have had work done in CIay and needed to have the lug nuts checked after returning home. I cannot speak highly enough about the way the service department in Norwich has always been accommodating without hesitation to be of help. The staff I have dealt with has always been so kind, friendly and generous. Again THANK YOU!!!

Very happy with my experience at Matthews Ford in Norwich!! Lucas Beebe sold us a preowned Escape in mint condition and at no time in the process did I feel pressured or forced into any decisions; very professional and accommodating. In the future my family and I will continue to do business with them. I’ve dealt with other dealerships in the past and this one stands out by far. 10/10 recommend and ask for Lucas!

Buying my Bronco with Rhamses was a great experience. He went above and beyond, explained everything clearly, and was very knowledgeable throughout the entire process. I’d like to say thank you to Matthews Ford for fixing my 2017 Chevy Trax. They got it in a timely manner when I got it back the interior was very clean. It was clearer than it was when I bought it. I really appreciate them cleaning it up they did they even scrubbed the floor mats thank you very much.

Horrible wrong parts was told tp drop it of on a Sunday never started til Wednesday had to back because all the parts were not in took back said half day ended up waiting past 5 to get the truck told them about the plastice foot step on the bumper not fitting befrore i froppef it off did nothing about put the wrong decals on as well as tje wronf insert in my ram box . Sent the right decals to the body shop manger in an email no response. In short you will not every see any of my trucks agine thank you have a nice day the non textured insert is what im supposed to have they put a texture one in as you can see by the picture the right decals with part number

So, buying a car is stressful as is. The Mathews online system makes it even harder to find a car that is available and what you are looking for. My BF and I were looking to get me a car and both inquired about 1 car and it ended up being sent to a location that we were going to go to but then agreed to go to Norwich. The cooperate side of things made it hard to locate the car and get us in it. Plus the salesman we talked with in the Norwich location lied to us. Told us the person we spoke with in Clay was not in house and didn't know what was on the lot. We caught him in that lie, with a couple questions on a call back. Not a good feeling. And no real effort to help us and they lost the sale.

If I could give negative starts I would Well , the sales department was the best , I can not say the same for the service department. At 12500miles Early May we drove to TN approximately 1500 miles round trip . We started to hear a noise on the way . Started loss of power when hitting the gas . Drove home and took to our local mechanic and he believed the turbo was blown . Made appointment for Matthews Ford . On May 22nd took in and was created by ( Ed) who told us we were early and he wasn't going to check us in right away . I asked if we I could go out with the tech in the parking lot to show him the noise . I was asked by Ed WHY? I stated I drive the truck everyday and can show him . When the tech came out to get the truck Ed said " the customer wants to come out with you for some reason " . The tech Josh and Chris came into the waiting room full of people and said " where did you buy the truck , and who did your last oil change? " he stated that the oil was over filled and spewing everywhere all over the engine. Not covered under warranty. Showed me a picture of a dip stick with golden honey colored oil , when it had been 2500 miles since last oil change . Told me that I needed the whole top of the motor(turbo , head gaskets etc.) replaced due to overfilled by my mechanic. I said what do I need to do to drive home , he stated I need to drain 1.5 qrts of oil . So we said go ahead.( dont think they did anything or I'd be short oil) As we waited, I called our local mechanic and explained what Matthews Ford had said . He looked back at out recipt and then video of his bay of the time he did the service and video evidence showed 5.5qrts of oil going in . . They bring truck back out and we asked a few questions about the diagnosis of the blown turbo like pressure, crankcase and seals and they said due to it being a new truck protocol doesn't call for them to do . At this point we had been asked if we bought the truck here or somewhere else 3 or 4 times( like it mattered where we bought it) We left , pulled over and wanted to look under the hood and see all this oil and by surprise there was NO oil anywhere ( see pic attached) took some photos and drove home .( after they told us we were not covered by warranty and would probably have to spend $10 to $12 grand !) A few days later we reached out to Brian the service manager and explained the situation. He asked to investigate and get back to us . 2 days later Brian called us to say they were going to do the warranty work on the turbo . Nothing about blown head gaskets or oil everywhere. So we guess the problem with the top of the motor fixed itself In June they did the replacement of the turbo which took almost 2 weeks with no loaner or anything and multiple phone calls from Brian about how the tech couldn't figure how to put the turbo back together. After getting the truck back noticed a noise still happening, took back to Matthews Ford and they stated the truck was normal . Contacted Ford Corp and they connected us with another local Ford dealership to have the truck looked at . Took it in, after a thorough inspection of the truck and a drive they established that it was the High Pressure Fuel Pump. That they said could have been tweaked during the turbo installation. Problem solved . Ford gave us a start over warranty and have been the best ! We will be taking our business and our recommendation somewhere else. Also , I forgot to add . When we brought the truck back for the rattle , Josh and Brian both said that the turbo was blown from day 1 of ownership and that the noise from the blown turbo was covering the sound that we are now hearing . That statement alone goes against what they tried to say from that start . Everyone mentioned in this review should have been FIRED! They tried to scam us and take advantage of us . so we assume the employees that tried to scam us are there . Stay away from this dealership! Unless you want to be treated unfairly! BUYER BEWARE !!

I went in with $10,000 to buy a $15,000 car ended up walking out of there owing 7-year loan another $18,000. So after them telling me that they can't sell me that car they tell me I'm pre-approved for many more cars. So when it's time to do the deal comes I'm not pre-approved or anything so after a week a whole week things I have to do to get the loan to go through me doing it and then getting down there and saying nope don't need that we need this that happened like four times in the end it was another $3,000 in cash. So $13,000 in cash for a 22,000 Chevy equinox and I still owe 6-year loan another godly amount who knows. I was in a bind so I had to take the deal but the best part is Chevy equinox that I currently have and have been a Ford owner for last 20 years this Chevy equinox sucks. It's not loaded with anything it's all basic crap The lift gate isn't powered, no sunroof, no power seats, except for the driver seat. Doesn't even have a stupid under the hood light. No heated seats, no heated steering. No extra nothing. Oh the engine is half of my Ford Fusions moter. And not only that why am I buying a Chevy from a Ford dealership? All in all it was the worst service ever. I'm not trying to dis the sales guy I won't even mention his name but it was a bunch of crap. I should have just took my money went somewhere else what I wanted to do was pay something off to where I wasn't paying on it but my spouse had to get out to Ohio cuz her dad was dying so I was putting a very bad place to make a choice I definitely didn't want to make then I call him up see if they'll take it back nope... I love that commercial they got on the radio 7 days 700 miles 7 whatever shut up! So never again I just wanted that $15,000 Ford Escape I was going to pay off but they didn't want that no no no after paying it off I had to give them $18,000 more dollars for financing. I couldn't even throw in like OnStar for a year or serious satellite for a year no extra perks no nothing when I was told that this thing was loaded. I purchased a 2021 Ford Edge Titanium from Matthews Ford in Norwich in November of 2024. The Sales Consultant, Paul M., was very helpful, honest and, unlike past experiences that I've had with other dealers, he was not pushy when it came to the add-ons, like extended warranty, service program or rust protection (I declined all). Since it was a pre-owned vehicle, it did not come with a manual, factory door access code or a second key fob. But, when I asked if I could get those, Paul and the Sales Manager, Mark L., made sure that I got them at no additional cost. During my first service appointment, for an oil change, the service department was very pleasant and helpful.

We recently bought a Ford Cargo Van with Ramsey's help. The vehicle is great! It is of high quality and value. There was a minor issue with a cracked windshield but Matthew's Ford of Norwich handled it professionally and at no extra cost. Thank you! My Experience with Matthews Ford was a positive one. Mike was very good at helping me with my trading in a 2013 VWCC and a 2015 Ford Escape SE on the 2017 Ford Edge. Mark was also very helpful in getting two new tires on the new vehicle after one front tire had a crack open up on the sidewall. All in All it was a good experience working with Matthews.
