I have been going to John and his team at Chimney Rock Automotive for years and have been recommending them to others for just as long. Their work is always professional and solid- done right and complete the first time. They’re honest and fair- they don’t do work that’s not necessary, meaning they’ll tell you if you still have more life in those brake pads. And they’re always friendly and down to earth- taking time to explain things and answer your questions. Give them a try, you’ll be pleased.

I had a great experience here! I got a used car inspection for a car I ended up buying. John went through the list of issues he found and told me what needed to be fixed immediately and what could wait for the time being. He even suggested a price he thought was a good offer for the car. I appreciated his honesty and found him to be trustworthy. I ended up getting my serpentine and water pump belts changed and an oil change for a fair price. I definitely recommend them!
I've had a great experience at Chimney Rock Automotive. I recently had a problem with my car's AC. The dealer said I needed to change the compressor which would have cost a fortune. John found the problem (a faulty sensor) and fixed it for much less. Every repair has been handled professionally. Stacey is very helpful.
Excellent customer service, price, and speed. I was leaving my house at 6AM when I noticed a nail in the sidewall of my tire. Called them at 8AM when they opened and they told me to come right in. I left them with the damaged tire at around 8:30AM. By 1PM they found the same exact tire, had it delivered, and on my rim ready to put back on. I was astonished by their speed, out of the 10 flat tires I have had to deal with in my life, I never had the issue solved this quickly. On top of it all the price was super reasonable and provided excellent value for their service. I would highly recommend Chimney Rock Automotive if you want a mechanic you can trust to get you back on the road quickly and for an affordable price.
Honestly, the best experience I've ever had through and through with ANY mechanic shop in my life. From the first call speaking with Stacy at the front desk, the thorough follow-up conversations with John, and obviously the confidence in the work being done, everything about how Chimney Rock Auto operates is 5 star. What a great place.. John is so honest and does great work. I worked in car buz for many years and hate to use a dealer for repairs... Chimney Rock Automotive has been my go to mechanic shop now for over 8 years. Being that I own a landscaping company with multiple trucks, there’s always something I need to get repaired. They’ve literally done it all for me from general maintenance like brakes, rotors, oil changes, and tires to complete engine swaps, welding cracked frames, diagnosing intricate electrical issues, and head gaskets. The owner John isn’t just a guy behind a desk he’s always under a hood out on a test drive or helping his other techs get stuff done. Even the office manger Stacy who answers the phone and schedules appointments knows more than a lot of these hack job mechanics out there. Honest mechanics are hard to find these days but it’s nice to know there’s still one out there. I recommend Chimney Rock for any and all things Automotive.
Stacy from the front desk was very helpful. I was looking for mechanic to install the battery I had bought from Costco. After few of the others said no, Stacy checked with their team and called me back. I came just few minutes before the closing time. Still they helped me with installation. Liked their service and recommend them.
Very honest, knowledgeable and caring service. The attention to detail and communication with me with my needed repairs was phenomenal. I felt like my car was cared for and John let me know everything step by step. John didn't just swap parts, but he is a true mechanic who fixed the problem and truly works on cars. Where most mechanics would have swapped out parts, John rebuild the part and ended up saving me money. You don't find this level or caring service anymore. This is true craftsmanship. Definitely recommend.

John and Stacy are great, very friendly, honest, and reasonable. John will tell you what the situation is and show what is the problem, so you know what is being dealt with. Brought my car in for an emergency issue a while back, and subsequent issue, and always felt comfortable with their skill and expertise. I would not hesitate bringing my car for future services!
