Phenomenal - friendly, honest, and skilled motor technicians. Every time I've brought a vehicle here they have excelled - keeping us informed of progress, flexible in pickup and drop off times, quality of work done. They are very familiar with vehicle maintenance and provide advice and suggestions without being pushy - it really feels like they always have you and your vehicle in mind. We have trusted them for routine maintenance, new tires, A/C work, transfer gearbox and transmission, and ABS/brakes. Even tire patching and replacement on EVs! Superb.
Excellent service! Got my brake pads and rotors replaced, as well as my rear drums cleaned and adjusted. I received prompt updates and everyone involved was very kind and helpful. Would recommend!

My parents love them and I understand why! I was visiting from out of town and Bridgewater Motorworks accommodated me for a last-minute oil change/maintenance appointment. I was impressed by their honesty - I was told that since they were able to get the work done quicker than expected, I’d be charged less than the estimate. They even replaced my key fob battery! I think I’m going to start planning car maintenance around family visits now :)

I paid $223 for a check engine light and a hard check in my vehicle when I accelerate, just to leave the shop with same issues popping up again and I go back to say it wasn’t fixed and the guy tells me other works need to be done that are over $1000!!
I just had such a wonderful experience here! I had car trouble and they were the closest auto repair shop, so I stopped by and within an hour (even though they were busy) they had resolved the issue and I wasn’t charged a dime. They were honest, kind, and efficient! I don’t live close by but I would go out of my way to come back here.
Everybody at Bridgewater Motors was really nice. I had a very difficult situation that very few people work on. They did a great job. They kept me informed. They were really good people. So far my vehicle is running great. They told me any problems. just call back. So I would recommend Bridgewater Motorsto anybody.
This was my first visit to Bridgewater Motorworks and i had a great experience. I had an issue with my car’s headlight , which was fixed in a jiffy and the price was also quite reasonable. Very prompt service and the team there was also very warm and courteous. Definitely going to visit again.
Love this mechanic! They work on Mini Coopers, which is unusual, and are very trustworthy. I trust their advice completely. Great customer service, no high pressure tactics and a comfortable waiting room!
Check engine light came on with the break light blinking. I drive by Motorworks daily and pulled in. Busy place but diagnostics were done promptly, the rep explained what was needed and why. The sensor was ordered. Even gave me a lift back to my apartment. Job was completed on time. Fair price and great customer service.

Had a battery issue with my AMG after installing an aftermarket screen, team diagnosed the issue quickly (faulty battery) and replaced in 30-45 minutes tops. Took me in for a quick visit with 1 days notice which is unheard of vs the manufacturer service centers. Highly recommend the shop.
Made an appointment one day before service, within 15 minutes of arrival my car was in the bay. Not only did my oil change go very smoothly they did multiple routine checks and I also requested a few additional checks. My car was also vacuumed. All within the window I was provided for completion.

This is my second five star review for Bridgewater Motorworks— as my family was packing up at the hospital with our newborn son, I noticed a screw in our tire and very low tire pressure. Not wanting to deal with a flat, I called Bridgewater motorworks fifteen minutes before closing time and T (awesome guy!!) told us to come down to get it taken care of with no hesitation. Thank you is much guys, no one wants to deal with this kind of problem with all the activity at home.
In the 10 years I have lived in NJ, this is the only place I’ll bring my cars! I found them completely accidentally and I’m so happy I did. From the first interaction 10 years ago, to present day - they’re outstanding. Customer service is second to none, the work is always done correctly the first time, they are great w diagnostics and will never steer you wrong! A true family staple - they’re a household name.
Got a flat the other night and had my car towed here. Spoke to T and Paul yesterday and they were incredibly responsive and patient with my questions. They got the tires I requested no questions asked. Will definitely be going back here in the future if my car is damaged again!
I am a retired mechanical engineer and, while not a 'gear head', I know my way around cars and mechanical systems. Before all the computerization, I used to do my own service and tune-ups, but now I'm limited to routine stuff like oil/fluid changes, filters, etc.
I have used Bridgewater Motorworks (BM) since 2020, but only for a few service needs beyond my capabilities or interest, e.g., brakes, bearings, hubs, trans fluid, hypoid gears, etc. I knew they were pricey, but I felt more comfortable supporting a local small business, which drew some of their employees from the local vo-tech school, rather than a large dealership. Up until my latest experience, I was satisfied with their quality of workmanship and service, even though they were expensive.
My most current experience was to replace some wheel bearings that I could hear were beginning to fail. After the initial inspection, I received a call confirming both front wheel bearings should be replaced. Also, they stated the oil level was low, so they could do a change, and my brake pads had 2mm thickness left and the pads/rotors should probably be replaced, as well. I immediately questioned those last two recommendations.
1. I change my oil regularly (the last time was 7k miles earlier) and have never noted dramatic level fluctuations, but it could happen. However, I declined that recommendation. After the bearings were serviced, I checked my oil level and it was not low, but in fact very slightly high.
2. I informed the BM rep that they replaced my brakes and rotors 27k miles earlier (after the original pads had 76k miles). The rep then stated they should be under warranty. I asked him to verify and get back to me. He never did, which I assumed meant there was no issue.
When I picked up the vehicle, the rep stated he verified the brakes as having 5mm thickness and the rotors were fine. So who did the initial assessment? Was it an honest mistake? Were they trained before or after this regarding how to correctly measure something?
Next, I handed the rep my "Rewards" card, which presumably accumulates dollar rewards based upon my history. He stated he did not recognize the card, was unaware of any rewards program, and can do nothing in that regard, but would show it to the owner and ask. (I have not gotten the card back or an update, but really didn't expect one.) He also had to be reminded that there was a current Labor Day sale promotion in effect for a $120 savings, which was not credited to this service. I'm now asking myself, "Can I trust anyone here?"
I know BM lost some personnel since 2020 and recently made some new hires. While they maintain their high prices and friendly demeanor, their level of trustworthiness has certainly declined and is troubling.
My suggestion: know your vehicle, the recommended maintenance schedule, your service history, and what a dealership offers. THEN, question everything and make your own decision. I want to support my local businesses, but I also want to have confidence that my local business owners honestly support their customers, as well. The jury is out.
Consistently great experience with Bridgewater Motorworks. Honest, fair team and the only ones I trust to take care of my older car. Everyone is incredibly friendly and I fully trust their advice and work.
Been a customer of Bridgewater Motorworks since 2006. They are honest people and good mechanics. I am religious about oil changes and the prepaid discounted program they offer is amazing considering how much I drive. I’ll be back in a few weeks for my next oil change— Keep it up guys!
Friendly and knowledgeable mechanic helped me with a pre-purchase inspection. They also went the extra mile spending extra time trying to check the battery health on my Prius, but they ultimately couldn't (so they get points for doing their best but a minus for not being able to check the hybrid battery when the front desk lady said that they would be able to...)
Final currently deployed. Times is rough right now. Bridgewater Motorworks completely fixed my BMW as I’ve been gone and held great communication. Unfortunately I am not home yet to see the car. But my family sent me pictures and videos and it sounds like brand new! Which I am so grateful!. Thank you. I can’t wait to go home and drive it and test it out.

I will never take my truck back to the dealer for service after my experiences here. And they also really appreciate their customers. The bag of popcorn in my cup holder that said “thanks for popping in” was such a cute and appreciated detail!
Very helpful staff. Received some maintenance on my vehicle in a timely fashion. They also gave me an excellent list of work needed as a note on my receipt. Most would think this is an upsell. In my case I was aware of these issues already, so it was nice to see how attentive they were to my vehicle. I will be back for future work thanks.
