A nice shop who offers repairs on snowblower, lawnmower, not sure what else. The owner and wife were friendly, knowledgeable and asked my husband questions on our snowblower issues. They also pick up and deliver for a reasonable charge back to our home, which is great for us.
We were advised by a friend of this repair shop, happy he did.
Tried to fix a mower for the handicaped friend. It was converted for remote control and and mower itself had to be Taken out from remote frame, so it was basically engine and a blade cover.
They refused to even look at it and told me they wont touch modified mower. All was needed is to fix carburator leak or replace it with new one. NOT AT THIS PLACE.
Even if they do things for free I wont be going there.
I rather pay more for friendly and helping hand elsewhere.
Horrible. This is the second time we had an issue and will be our last. Brought them two snow blowers solely for oil changes and confirmed when I dropped off that they were both filled with fresh gas. I get a call to pick them both up and the bill is including more services than I asked for. When going through the bill, they decided to just dump the gas, from each, and refill them with their gas. When I asked why they would dump fresh gas or take it upon themselves to do more services than I asked, without pre approval/prior notification, they just started stuttering saying “uh idk, we didn’t know it was fresh.”On top of that, they are soooo rude. For the woman at the front, handling customers, if you don’t like your job, quit, but don’t talk to clients like we’re an inconvenience.
The worst never will go again. Sent my working lawnmower in for an oil & filter change. They called me saying my blade is the wrong one for mower so they can't try starting it. Got home took it out after a week from garage filled with gas now it's leaking gas & motor won't start locked up.
These folks are the best- Honest- Great Advice- Won't steer you wrong- It seems like a real family affair- I have a stihl Chainsaw that was problematic- Walked in and they fixed it for me while I was there- I also just bought a small residential stihl leaf blower- another great purchase- The store is like walking into a power tool shop heaven- very well set up- I really wanted to buy everything- I will keep working on that. To give them one star would be a little rude. It seems like the individuals that work at this location, specifically the women, at the front counter don't want to be at work. The older gentleman is polite, but they all seem to be very short on conversation and pleasurable customer service skills.
I've taken various machines to get work done at this location but the communication has always been very lackluster, especially if they don't work on the brand that you are bringing in for repair. They act like the machines that they sell are the only types of merchandise of quality, and everybody else's is third rate.
I won't be going back to this store, and I recommend doing a Google search for other options to get your yard machines serviced.
Reasonably priced, fast service, diagnosed & fixed the problem with my mower, got it done quickly & communicated everything, so I could avoid having the same problem again in the future. Would definitely recommend!
Absolutely the best! A friend recommended them for service on our snow blower and We couldn't be happier! Jason was very professional, and turn around time was quick! Very affordable and fair pricing! Family owned business! I would recommend J&A to anyone!
I learned more about my pressure washer maintenance from them than any youtube video. They fixed my issue in a day and I was up and running. Terrific spot!
This local family owned business is all that you would expect from one: personalized and knowledgeable advise, great after the sale service and friendly and pleasant to deal with.
Older guy behind the counter is a jerk. Disrespectful , like your disrupting then by being there. No knowledge what so ever. I would never give them my business.
I'm posting this review as it is well deserved and over due as I've been a study customer of J & A for about 5 to 6 years. Over the course of the summer I've had my lawn equipment service and repaired due to operational usage and each time it has been returned to me running as well as the day I purchased it, weather it was and trimmer, blower or 22 "walk behind mower. All accessories needed are available from the store inventory and have never been told it has to be ordered. If parts are required to be ordered they are available within days. This past week I dropped off a snow blower which I've had for approximately 10 to 12 years, at the start of having transmission problems I knew it was probably time for an upgrade as the machine owed me nothing and I definitely got my monies worth. I visited the store again to be meet by the owner's and was advised that the transmission would have to be replaced which is very costly. The recommendation, was to replace the machine. I trusted their input and they were eager to answer all my questions. On January 2, 2019 contractors were working in the store which required the store remain closed. The owners noticed me outside and opened the door to explain why they were closed. After asking me if I needed something I told them I would return on the 3rd. during normal business hours to purchase the new TORO 928 which was on the showroom floor. They offered to write up the ticket and I could pick up the unit on the 3rd. after it was checked. After they wrote the ticket they explained that it was the last 928 in stock so I insisted on paying for it to start their year off right.
This is what makes our local store owners and merchants stand out!!! They serve the community as family and not a stranger, they are always ready to go out of their way to make sure the customers are happy and I will continue to support them and strongly recommend them to new customers.
Well stocked with both 2 & 4 cycle lawn and garden equipment as well as snow blowers. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly and offer repair work and tune ups at reasonable prices.
Brought in a Snowthrower front-end to have the scraper blade and impeller shaft replaced. Even had the parts. I just dont have the tools to complete the job. JandA's owner refused to to even look at it, nevermind work on it here in May, said to come back in November. Seriously? Seems like they do not repair anything that isn't under factory warranty that they have ties to or wasn't purchased from them new. BEWARE
The best place to buy and repair all of your equipment. Fast friendly service. I have been coming here for over forty years. By far the best in the area.
Great service and friendly environment. I love their pickup and drop off service. Brought in old snowblower and fixed it at a reasonable cost. Took the time to explain how to best use the snow blower. Very nice people
5 Stars, My lawn mower is 11 years old, and was not running. I took it to their shop, and after 2 days. It's running as if it was brand new. Starts on the first pull. They provided me with great service, at an affordable price.

I bought a snow blower from and the chute would never stay in the direction you put it.
I called the guy and went over there and he told me I could adjust it or to bring it over to him.
Well when I called them to bring in back he said he was not taking snow blowers until October.
I know that this is the first week of May but with my work schedule and all this was the first time I could bring it there.
I want to give this to my Daughter and Son in Law and they live in Boston and I am going there in June.
I called MRI services in Linden NJ and they said they would work on it but I am a little afraid to take it on the Parkway with the trailer I have.
So I will take it up there and have it repaired , But I will never buy anything from them again
