I come here often and just want to shop peacefully. Today, I had the most uncomfortable encounter with a staff in furnitures named Efrain. I politely asked if he could help me bring a stool to the front so I can pay. He asked me which one and went over to show him. He picked it up and proceeded to lecture me that this was not a stool but a chair. I said “sorry.” He then went on and says that “You should know the difference between a chair and a stool. That is a stool.” He points to what looked to me exactly the same thing. So I said what does it matter if it’s a chair or a stool they are similar? He laughs and says that I should know if I want help as he has worked in the furniture dept for x amount of years. He then goes over to the security guys and loudly speaks about how I didn’t know the difference between what a chair and a stool is. He walks towards me while I am in line to pay, so I say “do you really need to go on about this?” He laughs at me and says you really should know the difference between a stool and a chair. I say that he is very passive aggressive and want to his know his name so I can speak to a manger. He laughs and yells “Oh please! My name is Efrain you’re being …” I raise my hand and tell him to stop. He laughs and yells “ Have a nice day!”
I spoke with the manager who was very kind and listened. She was very understanding and apologized, that Efrain will be spoken to.
Normally, I would have kept silent, but Efrain wouldn’t stop unnecessarily berating me, a customer, to borderline harassment. I spoke to the manager so that he doesn’t do this to anyone else that’s soft spoken and kind.
This goes down as one of the worst shopping experiences or experiences in general that I have ever had.
This location is a bit larger than most HomeGoods stores, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, their gourmet food section is a bit lacking and limited.
This is a very dangerous place for me because I can never leave without buying something. ? The store is a little bit disorganized and you really don't have a lot of help on the floor and if they had more help on the floor it probably be a different review.
HomeGoods is always such a fun treasure hunt! They have great selections for home decor, kitchenware, and seasonal finds. I always end up discovering something I didn’t know I needed. One of my favorite finds? Their jalapeño cassava chips—so addictive and perfectly crunchy with a kick. I always grab a few bags whenever I visit. Definitely one of my favorite spots to browse and shop!
Feels like an obstacle course inside the store. Went on a Wednesday afternoon and customers could barely pass each other because they were restocking items. I don’t think I’ll ever come back here again. Items in store were okay nothing special.
Terrible sticker placement
Non adhesive stickers on the glass of the picture frames and bottom of the pots and pans is really bizarre. Stickers are low quality that makes it super hard to take off.
The stock they have is excellent and the store is very organized and neat and always stocked up well. The entire staff, especially the manager, David, were very kind and helpful, and helped us pack our car. Even David himself helped pack our car and that was very nice, that he was working alongside his employees instead of just directing them
When shopping I realized 2 certain employees who seem to be passive aggressive. I seen them more then once and they kept saying unnecessary things then adding honey at the end of the sentence as if they’re giving advice. Just today, I brought a jar that ended up being broken before I brought it. I didn’t think much of it and went 2 days later(today) to return it. One of those certain people, a woman in their late 50s tried to convince me that home goods doesn’t sell broken things. I tried to explain that I believed it just had gotten broken while being in the shop and not brought to home goods like that and that when I came home it was already broken.
I had a terrible experience at this homegoods returning towels. Manager was very rude and condescending and I in fact was able to return the towels in another store. This experience was with a manager and the way she spoke to me was unacceptable. Some decorum for customers would be very appreciated in this store. Sales associates and managers should be able to explain return policies in a polite way!
I have to say big thank you to the personnel and costumer service .I have forgot my wallet there, and they have made their effort to find my number and contacted me. Everything was in it, and they refused the tip, saying that is their job to return it how they found it, and that they were just doing their job.
I also bought a carpet in this store, it’s great quality. Will definitely buy there again.
With spring and Easter coming this is your must visit store. They have plenty of cute Easter decor and planters. This is a pretty good home goods store, good collection and well maintained. They have everything from very good quality bedding sets, coffee mugs, kitchen supplies, sofas, carpets , paintings and what not. Sometimes the amount of stuff can be overwhelming. They have good amount stationary and some cute toys too..They have a huge collection of pet supplies including beds, toys and chews. Now you can see a lot of Indian Diyas and decoration..Over all a good store
Fun to shop and never know what you are gonna find. When we sold our old home, it was mostly decorated from HomeGoods stuff, from lamps, comforters and even art work. Sold in a weekend! Don't forget their Pots and Pans!

It's well organized however there's a cashier akas "karen" she has a terrible and nasty attitude with customers. I went last Saturday the 23rd of Dec. Also she does returns
I had a bad experience with a sales person and another person on the floor, whom I believe was the manager. I found a small scented candle that was not priced and took my time looking around to find a similar one. I asked the sales person (Indian woman not that this the issue, just that I did not get her name or the manager's name who is also Indian) for assistance and she was very rude and abrupt and so was the manager. The manager insisted that the candle was part of a set which there was absolutely no set in sight and just curtly brushed me off instead of working with me to allow me to purchase this one little candle. Terrible customer service and no regard for the customer without whom there would be no HomeGoods or staff. Another problem in this store is that the aisles are to tight to move around; maybe too much merchandise. The people stocking the floor have the large bins they use blocking everything that customers can't even move around comfortably and when customers need to pass they can't! This store needs to be reconfigured so the customers can shop comfortably and the customer service needs to improve. My one good experience was the lovely lady who assisted me at the register.
Love this new location!
Lots of quality items, the store wasn’t too crowded and I got everything I was looking for. The seat cushions were so cute I almost bought a couple just to keep! They open 9:30am- 9:30pm, 7 days a week!

I love this place. They have a vast variety of products - kitchenware, appliances, storage toys, furniture, and other essentials you didn’t think you need until you saw them. The prices here are great, ranging from cheap to affordable.
The staff very attentive as should be. The store nicely stocked. However they lacked soaps, moisturizers, creams, candles, fragrances in spray and powder. The had very little of that. They need to get back to the good ole days when they first opened not just in Edgewater, New Jersey but everywhere. Continuity is what keeps revenue. News flash.
UPDATE MARCH 2022:
WELL IT SEEMS THEY'VE MADE SOME CHANGES VERY HAPPY WITH THIS STORE NOW. I'VE BEEN TO MANY HOME GOODS IN NEW YORK AND NEW JERSEY AND THIS ONE HAS THE MOST SELECTION IN EVERY DEPARTMENT.
LOTS OF DOG STUFF, LOTS OF FURNITURE LOTS OF EVERYTHING! THE STAR RATING REMAINS FOUR OUT OF FIVE DUE TO THE TOTAL LACK OF SENSE OF URGENCY FROM THE CHECKOUT PEOPLE. JUST WORKING SLOW AS MOLASSES TALKING TO EACH OTHER AND WASTING TIME WHEN WE'RE ALL STANDING IN LINE.
Pretty much like every other home goods in the area. Not my favorite location, seems to not have as much selection, seems tight. The parking lot is hairy. Small. Doesn't seem to have too long a wait as other locations. As usual not especially friendly staff.
Home Goods, a chain of home furnishing stores. This one is pretty big. They offer pretty much any type of furnishing for any room at affordable prices. Patio and kitchenwares. Picture frames, couches, and end tables. Bed comforters, rugs, and much more. They even have a section for pets. This location has a parking lot which they share with neighboring stores. Because of their proximity to several towns, they attract too many customers. This basically means that their lines are insanely long. If you have no problem queuing in a line, then stop on by. They do sell items that will not appear on there online store. I would still advise you to make your purchases online. They're shipping can be a bit expensive depending what you buy but I personally wouldn't mind paying $20 shipping instead of waiting 30 min on the line.
OMG LOVE THIS STORE NOW! I've never been to a HomeGoods store. So many pretty things! ? I would say I'm impressed with the organization skills. I've been to big stores and customers always make a mess and it's hard for employees to keep up the organization of the place. BUT IN THIS STORE WOW! YOU GUYS HAVE A DOWN PACKED! super organized and clean, there was this good flow in the store. THE LINES WAS A BIT LONG but it was worth the wait, which wasn't long lol. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK GUYS!
I absolutely love this place! It has everything you need and much more! A huge variety of home decor. Very glad I live right across the street from them (don’t think my husband feels the same way though ?) ❤️
I like Home Goods. They have the best home decor. Sometimes unique one of kind pieces. They also have a section where they sell Sea salt, organic teas etc.
I especially love going during the holidays, it looks so festive.
Love Home goods. You plan on going in for one item and you walk out with "too many." For me it's like being in a candy store and you just can't decide what to buy. It is also a big stress reliever after a long day of grooming dogs. The selection is awesome.
Great place to shop...
Just bought three rugs. The young men who helped us were so pleasant, Miguel and ???? Were very courteous, and energetic.
The best part was loading them into our car... a different, young man loaded them and when I tried to tip him... he refused! He turned out to be the manager.
Every business should have managers and staff like home goods...
