While he was driving one of their semis tow trucks, Scott the owner ran me and my two kids off the road while trying to pass a string of cars on the Blackfoot during a snow storm. I almost went in the ditch and ran over a few reflectors. Looks like they need to drum up more business for themselves. We were doing 65, plenty fast for a snowstorm on that highway and for a commercial vehicle. I called in to complain, they actually put me on the phone with him and he argued with me while doing 70 over Greenough hill defending his ridiculous behavior and driving erratically. I should have called HWP.

They helped me in a very tight spot and I am super grateful. They had very fair business and very kind employees. Very lucky this company was in the area when I broke down. Thank you guys sincerely.

Or tire went flat Thanksgiving morning. Called 38 places with nothing, called these guys. He answered the phone and invited us to shop. He fixed the tire, put it back on, and charged us 0 telling us to pass on the favor. Completely honest, and decent people. Their sign said it all, our family helping yours. Amazing.

Brian came and scooped up Betsy (02 silverado 2500hd 6.0L 4wd) when she lost a fuel pump on Hwy 200. He had me in the tow truck within an hour from calling. Super friendly and helpful. This guy is a hard working honest fella. Thanks Brian!! My hunting trip wouldn't have happened if it wasnt for Brian! Cant say enough good things about him.

Hello! Iron horse's David was amazing! He helped with everything and was very polite and knowledgeable! The female dispatcher wasn't the friendliest but the rest of everyone has been good. I've used this company more than once, dealt with tow drivers Scott which was very kind and David which he was very good at his job. I hope everyone gets to deal with the lots of them because being towed in the middle of nowhere and as a female it can be very scary and they handled it amazingly! I did call the other company called Montana towing I think and it took over 2 hours and nobody showed up, and the price they quoted me was more than iron horse's. Thank you iron horse

Hello everyone, we hit a calf elk on highway 414. The elk just appeared infront of my Toyota rav4. All the airbags pop out. The people from other cars started helping us. Pushing the car to the ditch and checking if were okay. I was with my fiance. Blankets, sweaters, waters and food were offered, everyone was nice. An officer came and help us get a towing truck. Tha driver of the truck David Garcia was so comforting. Calm voice and offered us to get to his cabin which was already set in a comforting temperature since I was chilling cause it was cold. He walked us thru what's he going to do. He called his boss and explained our situation which my and my fiance really appreciated. Kept us relax the whole ride to our hotel. Thank you Favid for making our ordeal very light. Keep up the good work. God bless you in all your endeavors.

I rented a UHaul using the mobile pick-up/drop-off option. While I was parked in my car doing the pick-up things on my phone, the owner happened to drive up to do an office-related something. He asked if I was ok/needed anything. It's not exactly in the middle of town, it was evening, just starting to rain and I was by myself. I said I was ok, just picking up a UHaul. They went inside (He was with his wife, or some lovely lady) and then I found the truck I was assigned was mistakenly blocked in by another truck that had been dropped off by another mobile pick-up/drop-off customer. While I was on the phone with customer service, he came back out and I explained what was happening. He dug out a few different sets of keys and moved all of the trucks around (and pulled mine up for me!) so I didn't have to drive across town on a Sunday night in the now pouring rain to start all over again. Moving sucks. He really didn't have to do that for me, and it was so cool of him to go out of his way like that, especially since it was clearly supposed to be a quick office-run on a day off.

Just getting around to doing this review. My truck was parked downtown Missoula about two years ago. Someone hit and ran it. It was called in by someone and Iron Horse towing was dispatched to pick it up. It was in a parking spot not blocking anything. The next day I learned they had it. It was $360.00 to tow it. Paid it and was able to drive it home. When o got home I realized the spare tire which was brand new was gone, and my permanent plates were removed. I went back to them the next day and they denied having either.

I was moving cross country from seattle and my car suddenly stopped working in Drummond, MT. I had no idea what was wrong and was met with a few unfriendly people amidst the situation. Then Dave from Iron Horse showed up, friendly and helpful immediately. He asked a couple questions sat down and like a magician had the car up and running in seconds (and it has worked ever since)! He could have easily taken advantage of my situation and just charged me for a fat tow, but instead he was just good at his job and truly there to help. And when I tried to tip him, he insisted he expected nothing in return. If more people all over offered service like this we’d all be better off. Thank you Dave, Iron Horse is definitely the place to call!

My son’s car had to be towed from Drummond to Helena late in the evening and I could not have asked for a better experience. David, the driver, got out to us quickly which was a huge relief since we were stuck on a busy highway as it was getting dark. He was extremely friendly from the moment he arrived, got the car hooked up fast, and made sure we were safe. He gave both of us a ride back to Helena in the cab with him and the entire trip was actually enjoyable thanks to his great conversation and attitude. I have never felt the need to leave a review for a towing company before, but this experience stood out so much that I wanted to share it. If you ever need a tow, I highly recommend this company and especially David.

Boni and her crew installed a new plow blade on my pick-up truck and they ALL did and outstanding job! Professional and courteous Every step of the way! They went above and beyond!

My camper was towed here. I understand the camper was a total loss but they would not allow me to go through my things to see what I wanted out of it. That is what my insurance is for, I have full coverage plus gap insurance and road side assistance. So cost should be covered through them. I cannot make it back to get my stuff later.. and yes there was things I needed out of it.

Excellent customer service. Mike gathered parts that were laying around and brought them with the car. He was extremely kind and was willing to go above and beyond by giving me information on what could possibly be my next steps. He parked my car exactly where I asked and was friendly and considerate the entire time. I will always use Iron horse from this day forward. 5 stars for sure!!!

Without a doubt THE best experience I ever had with a company in this industry. Authentic and More importantly...Human. I'm so Grateful For everyone involved....From My Tow Driver Mike who is a hard working dedicated Man of Family...he is a Cowboys fan however.... To Emily who handled all the administrative stuff with Grace and Efficiency. To Ernie who knocked out the repair of my vehicle. And Eli and Ryan who didn't mind giving a ride up the street and back. Quite frankly I hope my car breaks down again soon. That last one is a Joke!

Had a problem with my EV in Missoula - bumped on the road and damaged suspension, hit battery. I was unable to drive uphill back to Salmon area. My AAA membership assigned my issue to this amazing guys. And I had best towing experience in my whole life with Iron Horce Towing👍 This was an only company who were agreed to help towing me uphill. Great experience with Iron Horse, they made a bad situation not nearly so stressful. We were stranded at Garrison on our way home to Missoula, our truck made a clunk and then wouldn't move. Dave our driver was there close to the time they said he would be and both he and the dispatcher Ryan were very reassuring and had great communication with us. Dave took great care in hooking up our large Ram 2500 and you could tell he knew what he was doing and had done it many times before. We had a great ride home with him and great conversation and he dropped off our truck perfectly where we wanted it. Hopefully we don't need a tow again but if we do, we will be calling Iron Horse! I forgot to mention this was on Memorial Day weekend when you would have not expected this kind of great service.

Iron Horse responded to us quickly when no one else would. We hit a deer in the Seeley Swan. Mike, our tow truck driver, made us feel safe and secure. This is an incredible service provider.

My son was headed out of Missoula and with in 25 miles ended up on the side of the road with an accelerator problem, on Memorial Day. Iron Horse was quickly out there, towed the truck, delivered him to his house and got the repairs done first thing Tuesday morning. The price was very fair and we are all grateful things went so smoothly. - thank you to their friendly drivers and staff!

We worked with Scott and his cru recently. His front desk staff was easy to work with, great sense of humor, and totally accommodating. With that said Scott went even above and beyond and was willing to take some extenuating circumstances into consideration to adjust the billing. Super nice guy, excellent equipment and towing expertise. We needed to move the vehicle over for some diagnostics and they jumped right on it! Would totally recommend them for your Towing needs!

I called several different tow companies this morning and ultimately picked Iron Horse not only because they had everyone else beat on price, they also had polite and courteous customer service on the phone - I had no idea this was a thing until I talked with a similarly ranked tow company who was so rude! Iron Horse also asked really good questions about the car and how it was stuck which instilled confidence in me that they could get the job done - and they did it a lot faster than another tow company’s quote. They are efficient, knowledgeable, well-priced, and just plain nice. Thanks Iron Horse!

God help you if your car ever breaks down and iron horse is the one the police call. I had an improperly parked car that broke down due to a transmission failure. I asked the driver to move the car alongside the curb. For which they charge 295 while constantly threatening to charge more. He made me drive there with a 15 min time Iimit because they demand immediate pay that cant be made over the phone. When i arrived he argued, threatens,yells and complains. He tried to assert i was not the car owner. He argued about what i asked him to do. which was move the car alongside the curb. He droped the car in the street. He never even actually did what he was hired to do. then he charges 345$ He takes my drivers license and credit card over to where i cant see. Demanding i stay away. He could be taking pictures of his own JUST MAKE SURE THE OFFICER IS PRESENT THE ENTIRE TIME SO YOU CANT BE ABUSED BY THE SAVAGE CRIMINALS AT IRON HORSE TOWING It was beyond unprofessional. It was criminal abuse. He thinks its his job to "punish" for how i was parked. Is he a judge? Spewing out threat after threat while complaining about "his time". Then Barking more orders as he drives away The police were very professional. I Dont think they are aware of how iron horse is treating our people. Its our own stupidity we allow this behavior to go on. My car was there for less than 1 hour total. I had made plans with the home owner to get it removed first thing in the morning. In any other town this would have been acceptable JUST MAKE SURE AN OFFICER IS PRESENT THE WHOLE TIME. Just To control the behavior of the iron horse driver. They are violent abusive savages. For no reason. I was compliant the whole time. I was not contesting the charges. I Only was trying to prevent impoundment. Then of coarse the following day i found the drivers side headlamp was cracked and damaged. As if kicked or lifted from above. Sure it could have happened anytime. But i know what is most likely the cause. I drive 60hours per week. i noticed the damage right away All this. just because the car needed to be straightened out alongside the curb. Which also could have been done the next day for 75$. Not 345$ while someone yells at you at night about "their time". Then He demands for all my personal information then tells me to "get away". He has my DL, my credit card and his phone over there. Its needless abuse. I only wish the officer was there the whole time Only a towing company can behave in this manner. No other kind of buisiness acts this way and gets away with it. Not even the police or the courts treat people like i was treated. I wasnt getting threatened, yelled at, and accused by the police officer. It was the iron horse driver Id rather light my car on fire than ever call iron horse towing

On 07/16/2023, the boat trailer I was towing caught fire after the bearings in the passenger side wheel seized up, and ejected the wheel, leading to a grass fire and damage to another vehicle. After waiting for 6+ hours for my insurance company's 3rd party agent to arrange towing, I contacted Iron Horse on my own and received AMAZING service from my driver. He was prompt, professional and very careful with my newly acquired restoration project boat. I cannot say enough great things about how I was treated and how carefully my belongings were cared for. 10/10 would wreak havoc on I-90 again, just so that Iron Horse Towing could pick up the mess.

We made a bonehead move and tried to drive through what we thought was snow up in the mountains. It turned out there was a thick layer of ice underneath and we got stuck. We went through our insurance companies roadside assistance (all we needed was to be winched out) and after 7 hours of phone calls and waiting we still had no help. We decided to find our own company as it was starting to get dark. We googled tow companies and Iron Horse Towing came up so we called. My wife was really upset by this time and the owner calmed her down and reassured her he knew exactly where we were and would have someone out to us in about an hour. He was upfront with his pricing and accurate on the eta. He even texted us when his driver was 10 minutes away. Before you knew it we were out and on our way home. Kudos to Scott (the owner) and Devon (the driver). If you are ever in Missoula Montana and need roadside assistance we highly recommend you call these guys. True professionals.

Scott was absolutely awesome to work with he was very polite,courteous, and professional. We had a log truck with a self loader on it that went over in the big hole . Scott and his crew put that thing back on its wheels so fast they just made it look easy. The driver of the truck is ok he had some serious bumps and bruises but thank god he's healthy.

Well our Class A diesel motor coach suffered a major fuel leak on a high pressure line leaving us dead on an off ramp of 1-90 in the middle of nowhere Montana. After several hours of trying, our motor coach road side assistance was able to locate a tow company capable of, and willing to tow our 43 foot, 22 ton rig. This is the first time (and hopefully last time) our coach has needed a tow. It was pure good luck that our roadside assistance hire Iron Horse Towing. Nate was awesome, the tow took hours but we didn’t mind because Nate took the time to be careful and loaded our rig in a slow systematic process and repeated that same level of care unloading it at the repair shop. Towing these big rigs is not an easy task and requires a special lowboy trailer with winches and attention to detail. I’m happy to report our tow was successful meaning our coach was delivered to the repair shop, safe and sound with no damage! Thank you Nate and Heather!
