I couldn't get in anywhere for a inspection for 2 to 3 weeks so I started looking for more places and Hoffmans got me right in and the guy doing inspection had me come out and asked if i still want inspection even though it will fail for my broken windshield that was cool told him yep incase there was anything else wrong .very nice people great shop and if your lucky you mite get to see the box opening dog so cool brought my vehicle back couple days later got my inspection sticker was so easy definitely ne going back

I’m leaving a 1 star review because I had my car towed, and since I was at work, my grandma was at home to be there to pay the guy for me and he was completely and utterly disrespectful to her for no reason and when I got home she was extremely upset. Butch is an absolute sweet heart but the towing guy (with the initials DC) has a horrible attitude and should probably get a different job sitting behind a computer and having no human interaction because it clearly pisses him off and is SUCH an inconvenience to have to do his job. If you need to get your car towed, I most definitely DO NOT recommend Hoffman’s.

HUGE HUGE shout out to Hoffmans for going ABOVE AND BEYOND to get my sons car back on the road so he would have transportation for work!! They pulled off a literal miracle (it was a God thing for sure) and I can't believe the bill wasn't more. Thank you SO much!!

My Honda Passport broke down in St. Clair last Saturday, driving from Springfield to St. Louis. Josh with Hoffman's showed up quickly (in very cold weather) and got my vehicle down the road in a friendly and expedient manner to the Honda service department where I needed to take it. Much appreciated.

I can't speak highly enough about this Hometown mechanic shop. These guys have done great working on all my personal vehicles as well as buisness vehicles. We recently had a situation where one of the mechanics made a mistake on a repair that led to further complications and Butch made sure it gotten taken care of at no extra charge to us. Integrity is hard to find in this world and when you do....treasure it and hold on to it. Thank you Hoffmans for the great work you do.

My car didn't start on a Friday morning and everything indicated the battery was dead. Called Hoffman who would send a tow truck. They tested my battery which appeared to be the problem. The other problem was the kind of battery, which seemed not to be any kind of average battery. They called around until they found one and had it installed in less than 1/2 hour. Their labor charges were much less than I expected them to be. The biggest expense was the battery itself, which they had to purchase from a local auto parts store. Thanks to them I wasn't going to be without transportation for an entire weekend or longer.

Our experience with Hoffman's Towing was amazing. I can't remember the man's name but he was extremely friendly and courteous. I hope I never need Towing again but if I do it will definitely be Hoffman's. Update... May 1st 2024 Long story short... They worked on my vehicle and broke something and didn't tell me.. I went to Butch and let him know and he more than made it right. Mistakes happen but good customer service makes up for it. Thank you Butch!

Called at 10pm to get my car unstuck and the dude complained about having to do his job and asked if it had to be done tonight and then SIGHED when I told him yes. Isnt this a 24/7 towing company? Call someone else they dont deserve your hard earned money.

Got a uhaul stuck in the mud, called Hoffmans 24 hour emergency service to not get talked down to like I was a child but also didn't want to do it tonight. When I was asked does it have to be tonight and I say yes and you give me attitude like I was bothering your 24 HOUE EMERGENCY TOW then I will take my business elsewhere. I called another company and they were out in 15 minutes and gone in another 10. Hoffman needs to learn what 24 hour emergency is. Will never recommend.

I was locked out of my vehicle. They responded within minutes, were pleasant and professional, and at a good price!

Kind of like a neighborhood Ma and Pa auto service place but with the tech and capabilities of a much bigger shop. Butch, the owner is amazing, the amazing lady in the office is wonderful, their tow truck driver goes out of his way to help and the repair tech was very gentle with me when he shushed me away from him while I was trying to tell him how to fix my car. LOL. Highly recommended five star service. Volvo fixed!

Shout out to Butch Shadrick & his crew at Hoffmans. Had a power steering leak at 2 in the afternoon, needed to use the truck to pickup food for a ministry project tommorrow at 7am. Butch calls me at 4:55pm and says "Hey you are ready to go". Great service and great people. Thanks Butch!

We're new to the area and unfortunately have had both car trouble & a run in with local mechanics who price gouge. So thankful I found Hoffman's! Couldn't ask for better service or more professional people; they don't talk down to me even though I'm a woman, they don't charge an arm and a leg, they simply do excellent work. Long story short. My parents from Oklahoma, broke down in Sullivan MO. We spent 3 weeks trying to find a tow for their 4 door One ton Dually and got lied to my multiple companies in a large area. That big mess ENDED when Rob from Hoffmann's reached out to me online. Then Butch from the office did the process and in 24 hours my parents truck was back home in Oklahoma with no issues. What a blessing they were from start to end, Which was very short due to they worked fast and kept their word throughout. Thank you making our nightmare end.

Had my truck here, staff was very helpful kept in touch and explained everything as much as possible. My truck drives amazing , had to have an oil pump and radiator put in. Thank you Hoffman's,, and a special thank you to Terri for keeping me updated ? side note I got to finally change my lights yay!!

Used Hoffman's twice over the last 4 years. Both times, they were very professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. I highly recommend them.

This is the only shop that could get me in for an emissions test, everywhere else I called was booked out a week and further. I dropped my car off that night and it was ready the next afternoon. I didn't know I needed an idod test as well, when I called them they said bring it back in and they would get it done, and they did within 30 mins.

Hands down best place to get Work done on Automobiles and very economical. Butch the owner has always treated us with Integrity. No salesman pitches nor shady dealings here you get Quality and Honesty. We had tried other business in our first year here in the area and after 7 years we stayed with Hoffmans due to the straight up communication given by his Shop.

My family and I were on a lengthy road trip and our tire flew off and the man was no nice and helpful and after towing us to the auto parts store he even came back later after closing hours and helped us get the tire back on! This man was such a blessing. Without him we’d still be stuck. Highly recommend their services if ever needed in that area!

My daughter and her boyfriend were traveling to come visit me and they broke down about 3.5 hours from me. As a mom of course I am freaking out because she's young and its 5am. I called and the man (i don't even remember his name) was so nice and helpful. He towed the car and made sure they got to a hotel until I got to them. Thank you so much for all your help! Sincerely the frantic mom!

Was on my way back to Michigan when my idler pully broke on my truck snapping the belt in the process and stranding me on the side of the highway, I called them to get towed and the tow truck driver showed up fast and even dropped us off at a hotel while they worked to get my truck fixed. They fixed it very fast and were very professional!

Took my motorhome to Hoffman's for a safety inspection and was told it needed new ball joints to pass. Around $500 to replace. Went home and checked them myself and found no problem. Took the vehicle to another local, reputable shop and asked them to check the ball joints to make sure I wasn't missing something and they verified that the ball joints were good and not in need of replacement. Last time I go to Hoffman's for anything.

I brought my car here after it blew a head gasket because they offered a good price and they appeared very reputable, but it was one of my most regrettable decisions I’ve ever made. The quote started at $1033 and the estimated completion time was a week/week and a half. In the end, it took over 3 weeks and my total rang up to be $2600. Mind you I was told on multiple days that it would be done the next day and it ended up taking a week past that claim. My car needed more than a head gasket and that was ok but they NEVER once called to tell me they were putting something new on... they did it all on their own. When I had to call THEM for an update about my car, they finally let me know what they had done. I was very disappointed by their assumptions they made that I could afford what they were doing. I was forced to get a bank loan. I can’t explain how disappointed I am by this. And on top of it all, when I went to get my car my bumper was barely hanging on, shop napkins were left behind, and my hood release was broken. Please spare yourself the headache and choose any other auto repair shop before Hoffman’s.

My truck overheated in St Clair. Luckily I called Hoffman to tow and repair my truck. They repaired it in a timely manner and their customer service was great. I had them do long overdue additional repairs that were needed. I wished they were closer to me. I would use them all the time. Butch is a great person to work with.
