I watch thier driver BLOW thru the stop sign by my house on the west side of st.paul weekly. Mind you, it's right next to a school, that kids in my neighborhood walk to!
Very disappointing experience with Republic Services. I recently moved to a new property and requested a new trash service. While the cart was delivered, I later realized it was actually from my previous address where I was only a tenant and never even had an account with them.
I contacted customer service multiple times requesting a replacement. Each time, I was assured that the cart would be replaced the same day or shortly after but it never happened. Even after escalating the issue to a supervisor, that I was given incorrect information they said that since the account was already set up, I would have to wait an entire month for a bill to generate before they could cancel the service.
To make matters worse, the customer service agents clearly assured me that I would only be charged from the day the cart was actually replaced. However, the supervisor informed me is they would charge me for the entire month even though I have not used the service at all due to their mistake.
Because of this ongoing issue, I have not been able to use the cart for the past two weeks, and this ultimately forced me to cancel the service altogether.
Very misleading experience. I would not recommend Republic Services based on this.
I have called Republic Services customer service multiple times about getting my refund back after their auto pay deducted payment from my account even after I'm no longer a customer. Every time I called, they always say they're going to look into it and send me my refund back but they never did. I'm sick and tired of having to keep calling them. It's already been two months. I don't even know what else to do.
You cannot quantify how bad this company is. Do NOT send any funds to this company without the ability to dispute payments as they are dishonest/have zero integrity. Make a yearly payment? They will send you an additional bill 2 months later demanding more money.
Rip off. Charged $130 for 2 containers pick up, after closed account. Why I'm not allowed to drop them by my self? Prices were raising up constantly without notice.
Short notice when your rates are increased, locked in even though they tell you that you are not. Poor cancellation policies and they charge you to pick you bins up after cancellation. Do not start with this unethical company.
Shady payment practices, multiple neighbors say similar- have auto pay set up and keep getting charged late fees, when I log in to check three days later after get the late fee it says payment cleared, at first I figured an error somewhere and didn't think anything of it, clarified the auto pay settings etc, but it kept happening, after the third time I called to ask how am I getting late fees when auto pay is set up and they said the payments were declined, but then they go through without me doing anything but with the late fee, confirmed the auto pay settings again this time on the phone with them. They won't refund the late fees either.

They lied on bill and when asking them what happen they will keep you in holding saying they will call in 48 hours but they will never and it happened 4 times and still they’re saying 48 hours and you will feel how helpless you’re. My bill keep increasing by $85 every month. My bill supposed to be $200/Month but in 3 months it’s $400/month already.
Never trusting them again!

Driver missed my recycle pick up and no one has come back to pick it up. I have to call and service rep has to forward request, but, republic doesn't care. No update and just a waste of time.
Fast loading but heavy rubbish that is poorly paid by the broker.
You need to weigh before and after loading, the scales are further along the road after the railway crossing, the second turn to the right
I would give a negative star if I could. I have been a customer of Republic Services for 14 years, including 6 years with Troje's which Republic bought over. On 2/22/21 I received an invoice for the months of March to May that showed an increase of over 23%. I proceeded to call for bids from other trash haulers and was able to get a rate that is less than Republic was billing me even before the increase. I cancelled my service with Republic on 2/23/21, the next day after I received the invoice, which was dated 2/20/21, and before the next quarter of service starts. A month later on 3/21, I received another invoice from Republic which they credited the service I didn't use. HOWEVER, they proceeded to charge me with $60 container remover fee, AND they only credited $4.36 out of the $22.96 Fuel/Environmental Recovery fees for the months that I have cancelled my service, AND only credited $0.69 for the $4.53 for the Sold Waste Management Tax that they charged for the quarter as well, AND a $5 late fee for the 2/20/21 invoice which I had cancelled the next day after I received it. When I called and talked to a "Corporate Escalation Team" member named Kristen, who refused to give me her last name or location, she credited me with $40.42, by removing one of the container fee. NO credit for the late fee, (how could you be late if you cancelled the service and not supposed to owe anything?). So now I'm supposed to pay $47.02 to close out my account. She told me she is the highest chain of command I can escalate my complain to. She also told me it doesn't matter if I was a long term customer or short term customer. Well, after 14 years, I think I saved them a lot of money from having to get new customers, dropping and picking up and refurbishing containers and paying my bill on time.
I checked with my new hauler, they don't charge anything for picking up the containers unless I cancel within a year.
I strongly warn against using Republic Services as I think the way they charge their customers when they cancel is unethical.
Don't use! Bad communication, system was hacked an leaked my password, and horrible rates. Once you return your trash an recycling cans. They charged $30 each when closing an account to for them to pick them up. Look elsewhere and don't store your credit card information with them!
They have the worst customer service, was being charged for 3 cans had 1 removed and kept getting charged for 3 , called customer service 5 times the first one gave another number to call and that number went rite back to there customer service, 4 other times was disconnected 5 time got thru and transfered and talked to a rep and was told would be reviewed and they would call back, city of st Paul's assigned republic would have moved on to another company if I had a choice, thanks St Paul for screwing up something as simple as garbage service
