So happy to find Andy opened his own shop after the owner of his former shop retired and sold. I called on a Monday, took it in Tuesday and he repaired the same day.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about Reck’s garage. Everything from their customer service up front with Raquel, to their good honest work in the garage, is top tier. After a horrible experience at a previous shop with new owners, and learning Andy moved from there to opening his own shop, I finally am back to working with folks I trust with my vehicle as well as the rest of my family. Recks Garage is the place to go with all your vehicle’s needs.

It's hard to find a good mechanic, right? Look no farther than Reck's! My husband and I have had our cars serviced by Andy for years. He is a master mechanic and has been able to diagnose and fix our vehicles every time we have taken them in for problems. Reck's is honest and does not pad the bill by adding on unnecessary work. At the same time, they tell you what you really need to do to maintain your vehicle. We highly recommend Andy and the team now that they have moved to a new location.Same great service in a new package!
Andy Reck(owner) is honest and very knowledgeable ,quick service and a lot of experience along w fair pricing. He formerly was the head mechanic at Chucks in Plymouth for many years . I highly recommend for all your car care needs.

Figured I'd give this place a try since it's close to my work and the few reviews it had was good. I called to schedule an oil change, when I spoke to the lady on the phone, I explained to her my husband was extremely picky regarding our cars and we wanted the better VW spec oil for our car, she said no problem, and I could drop it off the next morning. I realized I forgot to ask how much, so when I called back to ask how much it would cost, she told me $85-100 depending on the oil. Drop it off the next day they call when it's finished, I went to pick it up and I was told it was $147.11 and when I asked her why so much, I was told because we requested the better oil. I paid and left, not knowing anything about the cost of oil or filters. I called my husband and he said why did they charge 50% more than what we were quoted? I told him she said because of the cost of the oil, he said that doesn't make any sense, we always request VW spec oil and have never paid more than $100. I called back talked to the owner and asked him why the difference from what I was quoted and why on the invoice it says $0 for the labor. He told me 3 times during our call he doesn't make money on oil changes and he was told we wanted the better VW spec oil, and I said yes, that is what I requested.. He then told me the oil cost him $13.99 and charged us $16.99 and the filter was $15 and charged us $19.00, but he did say he would give me the $50 back if that would make me happy. Again not knowing anything about cost of oil or filters I said let me talk with my husband, maybe we can just split the difference (I felt bad, didn't want this new small business to lose money) and I would get back to him. I then noticed on my invoice there is a part # for the oil, so I googled it and to my surprise the oil only cost $6.99 not 13.99 or 16.99 like he charged me and the filter was $7.29. (prices from Napa which is less than a couple miles from this shop) Now I realized I have not only been lied to but also grossly over charged for my oil change. I called back and never mentioned what I found out, I just said to the owner, that yes my husband did want the difference back since we had never paid that much before, he said that's fine just stop by and he would give me cash. I stop by the next morning, walk in and now the lady who was very nice before was really nasty and handed me the $50 and told me "don't come back". Which I thought was cute she thought I would come back to a dishonest shop. Apparently she was mad I figured out what they did. The second troubling thing is my car takes approximately 5.8 quarts of oil, so not sure why he would charge 6.5 quarts, at this point I am not even sure if he actually bought specific oil for my car. Plus the oil he bought was not VW spec oil like we requested, because that would have actually cost more. So needless to say I would never recommend this place, I have attached pictures.
This shop is great. The family that owns it are very friendly and fair. I went there for some customization lift on my Jeep and Andy did an excellent job. I'm very satisfied with the work and I feel as extensive as the job was the price was very fair. If you're in the Plymouth / Northville area and need some Auto work done I would trust these people to get it done.
This is now my regular shop. Great and extensive service. I know Andy from a previous shop, and I’m really glad I found him again. He’s honest, reliable, and fair. I was told by a different shop that my Town and Country wasn’t fixable because a part was obsolete. Found Andy and had him take a look at it. Turns out the issue stemmed from a different part and Andy went the extra mile to find a replacement. Now my van is running smoothly and I don’t have to buy a new car. Highly recommend to anyone!
Great people honest. I'm so glad I found a mechanic. That I can trust. I've gone to other places and I don't trust them.
