Do not go here! Girlfriend called about an alternator for her Jeep. She was quoted $158.99 with a $40 core charge. When I stopped in to pick it up the price changed to $228.99 with a $60 core charge. When asked about the price difference the employee lied to me and said he didn't talk to anyone about an alternator. I was then rudely told to leave by a second employee. Hey Advance Auto, if you quote people for parts, make sure you get it right!

I normally like Advance Auto Parts, but I will never go to the one in Gaylord again. All over the store it says free battery installation. Gentlemen wouldn't do it because he was the only one there. I didn't see any other customers in the store and there were 3 cars in the parking lot. He could have been telling the truth, or he just didn't want to go outside because it was cold. I live almost an hour away. I'm not going all the way home to get it installed then turn around to bring back the core. And don't try selling me a bunch of other products I don't need.

Very nice on the phone and very knowledgeable, nice ,calm,in person . This is a great place to go and the price is right also ? ?

We were helped by an amazing gentleman. He was also a vet. He came outside and checked my battery, and he was so helpful letting me know that it wasn't the issue I was having. He was so kind while doing so.

Everyone that helped me was extremely professional and knowledgeable! Very clean store!

Keith and the gaylord team are amazing and whenever I come in they are very helpful, and unlike other auto parts places they do not talk down to me when they are explaining things to me.

Not impressed. Staff was rude and unhelpful. O'Reilly's is my normal choice for a reason.

One of the best autopart stores in town, they can get you the part you need ordered preddy fast and the staff seems to know what they are talking about. Highly recommend very helpful even over the phone.

OUTSTANDING customer service! I was a tiny bit daunted by the task of swapping out my SUV's rear wiper, as I was unfamiliar with the bracket clamping mechanism, so I stood in the parking lot, examining it. No more than one minute passed, and the gentleman that checked out my purchases came outside, and not only showed me how to do it, but also did it for me, then swapped out my two front wipers (which I WAS familiar with and had planned to do myself once the back was done), THEN collected and disposed of my trash for me. Raises are well deserved!

Jessica helped us out big time with friendly service and support. David was helpful as well. Thankful I stopped here.

Bought a starter from them and was told bring the old one back in the morning for your core deposit back so I did and the guys working said they didn't have any cash for a core deposit? How is that so? I find it hard to believe you start with empty tills in the morning.

Test equipment was not working. I was told if I bought the battery there they couldn't install it because corporate doesn't allow them outside after 5.30. this was the reason I stopped there. I was traveling and had no tools with me. I went down the street to O'Reilly's. Had my equipment tested and bought an upgraded battery.

Poor service, shouldn't have to fight for a core deposit terrible service, don't waste your time there, go to a real part's store

Very helpful staff I walked in told the guy what I needed help finding and before I finished he had it in his hands. He even took to the time to suggest using grease for the connection. Helped me find the tools I need to do the job and even came outside to make sure I was doing okay and ask if I needed anything.

Honest and helpful customer service. I have used Advance Auto for years and always get outstanding service. They even help me track down an item that they didn't have in stock. From Florida to the Great Lakes of Michigan, Advance Auto Parts are my goto guys.

awesome people with just as equally awesome service. We were basically stranded without the tools and parts needed to get us back up and running. But thanks to these guys we were up and running with a new altonator in 30 mins

I went in to the Traverse City location on Airport Road. Very cold today, single digit temperatures. I needed to have the battery checked on my daughters car. John helped me, what a wonderful person. He had just came in from replacing a battery and then went right back out into the cold to help me! I am sure he would have liked to be inside staying warm like the others. He went above and beyond to help me! Your company is lucky to have him as an employee.

Life time warranty on parts really doesn't mean lifetime at Advance Auto. Go to Autozone were they honor lifetime parts warranty. I found out the hard way!

Advance auto is my goto for getting parts in a hurry due to fair pricing and a decent website for doing the order ahead of time for store pickup. Saves time and also lets me use promo codes. Thanks for all the help!

People are lazy guys sat around looking at magazines offered no help only got one star because I can't give negative stars won't be going back. I suggest going to O'Reilly's guys are never sitting around always offering help

Usually my last resort to get parts. Today just further proved why. Yesterday on April 5 I ordered a power steering pump for my Jeep. Told him I have a 2.4L 4 cylinder. Go to pick up the pump today. They ordered me a 4.0L 6 cylinder pump instead. So I have to wait another day for them to get the correct pump in.

Never anyone at the counters to help customers. I have waited upwards of 20 min for service while also searching for assistance throughout the store. For what it's worth, if I didn't have a conscience I could have walked out of the store with my arms full unnoticed. If they didn't offer military discount I wouldn't shop here.

the attendant didn't care about my needs. he wouldn't even come out and look at my car problem to help me figure out what part I needed to buy. I will never try this place again.

I needed a new tail light. The counter guy came out to help identify which light. He helped me pick the correct bulb and loaned me a screw driver to replace it. Very nice and helpful.

I came to return a defective battery that wouldn't hold a charge. The store manager which was very rude named KURT tested the battery and confirmed after arguing with me that the battery was bad. He refused to do an even exchange for a new battery. I also had a receipt and he still refused. I worked for the company and I am aware of the company policies. I contacted corporate and they had to call the store themselves and make the manager return the battery. When we came back KURT was still rude and asked us to not come back to the store to return anything ever again. I would not waste your time coming to this store! Very dissapointed in the customer service!!!
