I've found a number of great things here for very cheap. The employees are all nice and very friendly. The other people who shop here though are just insane like I don't know if this is normal but they just trash the store and the employees are forced to clean up constantly. The toys section is especially messy with everything strewn across the floor. This is not the store's fault but honestly I think the employees need to stop being so polite to these people.

I can never really find anything worth buying. The prices seem a little expensive considering this is a thrift store. If I wanted to pay $15 for a pair of shoes, I could just go to Burlington and get a new pair. However, I do recognize the importance of reducing waste and reusing.

I'm writing to express my disappointment with the exchange policy experience I had at your store located at 2035 Washington St, Hanover, MA 02339 on January 16, 2026. The day before, January 15, 2026, I purchased six pairs of jeans from your store and upon trying them on at home, I found that one pair didn't fit properly. The next day, I returned to the store with the jeans and the original receipt, intending to exchange them for a different size. However, the manager on duty informed me that I couldn't make an exchange because the price tag had been removed from the jeans. Despite explaining that I had the receipt and was seeking an exchange rather than a refund, I was told that nothing could be done and that store policy didn't allow for exceptions. I was taken aback by this response, as I had taken reasonable care of the items and was seeking a straightforward exchange. It seemed to me that the policy was applied without consideration for the circumstances, and I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I hope that you can look into this matter and review the exchange policy with your staff to ensure that customers are treated fairly and with understanding. Clearer communication on exchange rules would also be beneficial to avoid similar situations in the future. e]

This place is overrun with resellers. It’s so bad. They plow through the isles and bombard the people who come out with the new carts. The prices are also insane here compared to other locations. (7.99 for a kids shirt with a hole in it. You can get a new one at old navy for less) I don’t know what has happened to this place but it’s not good at all.

Parking as tight as a Tjs parking lot. They never brought back dressing rooms so guessing if something fits is your only option. They removed their staff from check out, forcing self service instead. This must mean that prices are reduced since their cost is labor (all their items are donated). Nope. Still takes 15 minutes to get someone to unlock anyting from their case, though I was told once that they were too shrt staffed and wouldn't be able to access until 1pm (it was 11AM). How do you justify higher prices due to inflation when your merchandise is free? Disappointing.

The people who work in this store are extremely friendly and great but the customers are absolutely weird. It feels like the twilight zone because they are so neurotic and pushy over used items. They shove and refuse to say excuse me, the pull into the parking lot like their life depends on it…. It’s literally insane. Don’t go during the afternoon when it’s busy it’s truly not worth it. A little manners go a long way.

I feel like the pricing here is off, as others have mentioned. Items are priced pretty high for a thrift store and some items aren’t in good condition. The check out is a madhouse (we went on a Thursday night). The overall store is nicer than a lot of thrift stores. It’s clean, spacious and doesn’t smell off so I do prefer it over other shops, but the pricing sucks.

Your typical overpriced “thrift” store that might as well be a boutique vintage store. Sees a secondhand pair of true religion jeans “How much are those jeans back there” “Oh they’re $59.99” “?*”

After living abroad for 2 years, I came back to this store to thrift and I was appalled at the prices.. they were charging $25 for some Kate Spade totes that were outdated and dingy from use... you can literally find Kate Spade totes for $50 brand new in Tjmaxx. Even worse, they had a Marc Jacobs crossbody that was beat to it's mere existence.. it had marks all over it, ripped buckle, exposed inner lining, rusted hardware... $15. I appreciate if they are trying to stop the resellers as I find them to be the lowest denominators of thrifters, but you're also eliminating actual people who can't afford to shop luxury but would love to own a nice leather handbag in good shape at a reasonable cost.

There are a few issues with savers and a few good things- they sometimes have good items but they’re often very busy, the items can be overpriced (they were selling an empty maple syrup bottle), the staff can be rude and there’s very minimal parking.

I have been really disappointed in the prices at savers. I recently went in for Mason jars, and even after showing the manager that brand new mason jars are going for at target with the savers price being 3 to 4 times the markup, there was no change in price. I was so discouraged because I really do believe in shopping Secondhand to benefit the environment, but it just isn’t practical to go to savers and have to pay four times what you would pay in a regular store. Savers, I think if you were more mindful with your prices, you could get in a lot more customers. Somethings are reasonably priced, but so many things are not. Like a used pack of markers going for the price of a new pack. Something like that should be a 50 cents. People don’t even know if all the markers work.

I came in looking for a jacket and left with emotional damage after encountering the employees that work at this place? The prices were high for a place that gets everything donated, but the staff’s attitude was so much higher. $15 for a used T shirt from a 2004 company picnic? Bold. I asked to see a purse behind the counter and the employee sighed so hard I think she time traveled. She stared at me like I just walked into her living room Great place if you enjoy overpriced secondhand clothes along with the thrilling experience of being despised by strangers. Will shop here again when I develop thicker skin

This place has 8 self service lanes, but they always have most of them shut down. I don’t know why they do this, but they definitely do it on purpose because I have seen them turn on more registers when the lines get a little bit too long. Right now, they have 5 registers turned off, and only three on. Two are credit only, one is cash only. Also, their pricing on things like movies and records have got out of whack, but the registers is the main issue right now.

My jaw dropped open when I stepped inside. This place is massive. The brands are off the hook. I found a gorgeous sweater for $21.00 from Macy's still had the tags on it, Score. Two more sweaters for 9.99 each, both were Liz sweaters. Staff was amazing here. I highly recommend you allow at least an hr to browse the clothing isles.

SAVERS CORPORATE YOU HAVE A PROBLEM! My recent visit to Savers in Hanover was deeply troubling due to the overtly racist behavior of a middle eastern manager. Such conduct is unacceptable and demands immediate attention from corporate leadership. I am providing this opportunity for Savers to rectify the situation before considering a full-on protest. Please take swift action @Freeman Spogli & Co.

One of the employees barged into the women’s restroom while I and another person were using it and began yelling about how the door was left propped open and how that’s not allowed, implying that either myself or the other woman was responsible when neither of us did it. She then proceeded to go on the store’s loudspeaker and chastise everyone in the store in a condescending tone. I understand being frustrated while you’re at work, but raising your voice and taking it out on customers is inappropriate and unprofessional, and it left a very bad taste in my mouth.

I absolutely loved this place for as long as i could remember coming here. But recently with their new staffs, a certain tattoo bald middle age man, i don’t ever want to step foot in this store again. I don’t understand what it is with this man but he is ruining my favorite place to shop. i come here almost eve Sunday for the past 5 years and i have never seen him before until my recent two visit. i never once have had a problem with the staff here, they’ve always been extremely sweet and all, but why is it that the two times i come into contact with this man he has yelled at me for something? first it was because i took off my shoe? mind you i feet were sore, but i wasn’t walking around or placing them on furniture, they were on top of my shoe. when he walked by and saw it, he threatened to take my picture and get me kicked out of the store, and this was right after he yelled at another lady for putting her clothes on the furniture. which she was sorting things out though her cart? why is he yelling at full volume over thing like this? and that brings me to today. I was at the jewelry section waiting for someone to come, and it had been over 10 min with no staff to show up. When he came up i called him over but he point blankly ignored me then when i called for someone else, he told me that there no one there, but i had gotten another workers attention so i called him over and the tattoo man who ignored me told me not to be rude and that all the workers are busy and that i was being all kind of disrespectful, at full volume again. I don’t understand what the need to be so rude is, i believe he might just be racist.

Love this store and love how they have easy to use self-checkout. However, announcements 20 minutes before the store actually closes to bring your stuff up "now" isn't necessary, nor is complaining about customers still being in the store while I'm in earshot 15 minutes prior to close at said self-checkout. You aren't even ringing me up, I think you can wait another 20 or so minutes for the proper closing time. Thanks.

Used to like this store. However, the last time I visited I liked one pair of pants, and the tag on them has fell off while I was trying them on. The manager told me that I can’t buy them since they have to be reevaluated and will only be available tomorrow. This made the whole hour of drive to the Savers worthless, and I left frustrated. I won’t come back to the store as this experience was entirely disappointing. Furthermore, lots of clothes are so old that that they should be given away for free. And there are no changing rooms, which is stupid considering that the items themselves are not that cheap regardless of their condition, oftentimes totally worn out.

Buyers Beware!!!! If you buy clothes mind you you can’t try them on beforehand if you lose your receipt even though you gave your phone number they won’t do an even exchange.even though Ticket is attached to clothes. Manager was very rude and nasty about it! She said it is a thrift store! Exactly and people that shop Here don’t have money to throw away! Never going here again! Bad policy bad attitude!

Just went to return these shorts with large holes in them and another pair with a broken button. I forgot the receipt, tags on, they wouldn't even give me credit. Look at them. How do you even sell them. The manager is rude there too. Always.

Customer service is poor here, always like her and donated. But I will find other places to donate. I called and ask if they take bedroom sets, they said they do, after my husband loaded the truck we drove there, and they wouldn’t take it cause had one scrap mark isn’t this a used consignment shop!

This review relates to the store in Hanover as the Plymouth store is nicer. The bonus is they do get in some nice articles of clothing and jewelry and better brands. The cons are the store in Hanover is always dirty, they take in stained/ripped clothing and it is very disorganized. They will tell you they will set aside clothing with your name that isn't tagged so you can come back for it and they will call you before putting back on the floor but they won't really call you.

The prices are absolutely absurd. I go to every savers from here to Connecticut frequently (at a minimum once a week.) I’m convinced these reviews are made by workers. If you feel like paying almost $8 for a worthless cup or glass this is your place. Dirty ottoman? Sure! $44.49. Drive a few minutes away, pay less at Marshall’s or TJMaxx. Seriously. What a joke. UPDATE Can’t make this stuff up. Went back again to give it another shot since I was in the area. Everything went good and I was about to pay. I’m first in line and about 7-8 people are behind me. A worker came up to me and told me to get in the back of the line. For what you might ask? Because I was standing too close to the register ? what? I said no thanks we were here first and she snapped at me and my husband with a nasty attitude, told us to go to the register and she left! All of us customers looked at each other like.. uh what’s her problem? Needless to say I regret my second attempt at giving this store a chance.

*April 2023 Update* They removed the fitting rooms and the return policy is store credit / equal exchange only. Plus their adult clothing prices are still ridiculous. Home goods prices have increased a bit but are still decent. This Savers is ridiculously expensive compared to other locations I've been to. Most of the basic t-shirts were $5.99+, and they very rarely offer extra tag discounts. The only redeeming quality of this Savers is the home decor section -- Great gems there. Steer clear of the clothing. There is a better clothing selection with lower prices down the street at Salvation Army.

Very clean, very nice store. I much prefer it over the Pilgrim Rd location; that being said, the pricing here is either very affordable or very expensive. I happened across a pair of well-worn active shoes (dirt, stains, and some odd looking black spots) for $15. Next to these, there were some brand-new looking Nike shoes with no stains and little to no wear—those shoes were only $7. When I asked an employee (she was very sweet) if I could get a reprice, she said it wasn’t possible, as they base their prices on quality and brand. I’d be more understanding of this if the pricing throughout the store were more consistent/applied to my situation; which it did not. Overall, a nice store; but I was a bit saddened by the time I left.

Rude workers, rude people, and worst of all this store has no good clothing if you’re looking for anything interesting don’t go here. To top it all off it also smells like a sewer.

Clean, spacious, and very nice staff. Everything was well organized and they followed Covid protocols. It was busy, but there is plenty of parking.
