I needed a passenger side mirror put on my car. I had the part so it was only labor. Richie quoted me a price according to how long he thought it would take. When I picked up my car he charged me less than his quote bc the labor time was less. The mirror works great. I'm trilled to find an honest mechanic! Joan

Best experience I’ve had at an auto shop! Will definitely be recommending to family and friends. My car had a few things going on. He took my car without an appointment and had it done in a couple days. He was nice, very honest, and thorough. He explained in detail what was going on with my car. Great price as well! I will definitely be back.

First time visiting Richie and I felt I was in great hands. He is kind, honest, and thoughtful. I’ve been looking for a mechanic that knows what he’s doing and that I trust, and I definitely found it!

My first visit to Richie's Auto was for an oil change and he was kind enough to fit me in to a busy schedule. He was kind, explained the service, cost, etc., my 2nd visit was to update the state sticker on an older car that is alway a guess if it will pass! Again, he fit me in the busy schedule then lastly, I went recently for another oil change with my new Wagoneer. These new cars are more techy/data driven so it took him a bit longer to make sure he was doing it correctly(by that, I mean he knows what he's doing but it's not the same as an older car)! I appreciated his commitment vs. telling me to go see the dealership! I prefer to support small/local businesses. My first impression of the owner was that you get what you see - a hardworking, honest business owner who takes pride in his work and business. My visits were minor but I think he would be good for all automotive care!! Prices are reasonable and inline with the work.

Called this morning about a metal on metal sound that started this weekend. Richie & Jimmy took my car in first thing and had my car done by 1pm! I couldn't be happier the price was great. I would definitely go back.

I took my car to get an oil change and brakes. Richie was so nice. He explained everything to me that had to be done.. I felt he was very honest with me .. I will definitely bring my car back to Him if I ever have a problem with my car.. I went in for scheduled oil change, while my car was up on lift Richie rotated the tires and in that process saw the rear brakes worn/ corroded. The car had to stay the night, because I did not want to get up early the next Morning so Richie could do the work. Anyway Rich went way out of his way and gave me a ride back to Kingston, and then as if that was not enough of him going out of his way, He came to Kingston , Picks me up at my house and brings me back to the shop to get the car. He even stayed late to get all the work done. Rich you went far above and beyond. that is why you have such a loyal clientel, and have been in business for over 30 yrs. Richie is the man. I called him at like 4:30, right before the long holiday weekend—he was literally about to head out for vacation. Told him my wife was having an issue with her brakes, and even though he was wrapping up and probably had one foot out the door, he paused for a second and goes, “Just get down here now, I’ll order the parts and have it back to you tonight!” Not sure his wife was thrilled about the delay in vacation plans… but my wife was pumped to have her truck back before the weekend. Awesome service, fair price, and Richie is just a straight-up trustworthy guy, the only shop I will call now. Shops like this are rare. 5 stars all day—can’t recommend Richie enough. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Richie and his crew are top notch. They’ve taken care of my car multiple times now and are always up front, honest and reliable. Each time, the work has been done with care and precision and in a timely manner. Richie is the best !!! Stopped by for a sticker and he replaced the washer spray nozzle that was broken for 6 months, inspected vehicle in less time than I could get an ice cream cone across the street. Probably the Best Experience at a repair shop in 25 years. Richie is knowledgeable, experienced, Honest and Personable !!! Rich’s auto shop was top notch! Rich provided exceptional care! He was super informative of what was wrong with our car. He provided options to us so we didn’t have to break the bank with repair costs. He was insightful that down the road we would need work and gave us guidance on how much we should save / budge for. On top of all of this- he was able to turn around the repair very quick! Huge help to us keeping up with a busy kids schedule. Thank you Rich!!

Richie is the only mechanic I trust to do work on my car. Last year I was having multiple problems with my breaks stemming from lack-luster work done by other mechanics. Richie not only does quality work but was able to fix a problem with my AC system and Save me a ton of money. Although it is a one man operation I will only be taking my car here from now on

Took my car to Richie’s for a radiator leak after my regular shop couldn’t get me in for a week. It was overheating and had to tow it. Richie said they were very busy the next day but would see what he could do. He stayed late that night to look at my car, calling me at 8:45pm, to let me know what was wrong and if it was ok to order the parts so he could squeeze it in the next day. I had my car back the next afternoon and was charged a reasonable price. Richie went above and beyond to get my car back as soon as possible. Will definitely use him again!

Hands down the best auto service I’ve received. I called regarding a few problems my car was having. Richie told me to come in ASAP and was able to resolve all of the problems within a day. In addition to the repairs, he changed my oil and did a car inspection for me last minute. He quoted me a very fair price considering all of the work that was done. I appreciated him explaining the work that needed to be done in a way that I could understand, including showing me the parts that were damaged after he replaced them. He even went as far as driving me home when I dropped my car off rather than me walking. I highly recommend Richie’s services to anyone!

Knowledgeable and honest. Called to see if he could fix a tire with a slow leak. Richie told me to come in immediately and was able to do it right then. Also changed my oil, rotated my tires, and replaced my rear breaks same afternoon which I desperately needed. He arranged for a ride to take me back to work and pick me up again once it was ready, which was super appreciated and made my life that much easier. Definitely will be coming back and will be referring friends here.

I went to Ritchie's Auto Care on 1/17/24 to ask about the condition of my vehicle to determine whether it is worth spending more money for repairs. He took the time to put it on the lift, explain in detail the condition, the choices for repairs, and his realistic viewpoint that it was not worth repairing because of its age and frame condition. He recommended a change ot vehicle which I did. I really appreciated his extra time and advice about this car which I have had for 7 years, liked, and did not want to replace until I heard and understood his reasons.

I had Richie fix my daughter's Nissan Altima this week. He was very upfront about all of the charges and what was needed,. He even saw that our inspection sticker had expired and took care of that as well. Auto repair is not my forte, so honesty and trustworthiness means a lot. Richie is beyond reproach when it comes to taking care of his customers and being a hard working honest guy!

The best car care. Period. The day before taking a well-deserved vacation, Richie took on an older car with many mysterious electrical problems that we bought for our teenage daughter just four months ago. We had been to two other shops and told we needed lots of expensive work, which I now know was completely unnecessary. Richie inspected every square inch of the car and didn’t stop till he could determine exactly what was wrong. Again, saving us lots of expensive attempts to correct what MAY have been the issue. Richie is honest, upfront, super smart, and ethical. He had every opportunity to take advantage of desperate parents, but he didn’t. Don’t go anywhere else for automotive repair. Ever.

Richie's Auto Care is simply the best! I have taken my car there many times and have always had a great experience. Richie takes the time to explain things, and actually shows you the parts that were damaged/repaired/replaced. I had an issue with my car yesterday and stopped there at 5pm to talk to him about a good time to bring the car in to be fixed. He had me leave the car right then and there and arranged for a ride home for me. The car was fixed and ready to be picked up at 530 tonite! He truly cares, is honest, and his prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend him!

Richieis great! I brought my car to Richie yesterday and he did an excellent job. I knew I needed new breaks but I wasn't sure which ones. He was very honest with me in letting me know I just needed front breaks as well as giving me some tips on other parts of my car. Richie is the absolute best, I've had issues with my car since i've gotten it from the dealer. I took it to Richie and he fixed it up the same day I called. He's very knowledgeable and really cares about his customers. I highly recommend Richie if you need help with your car situation.

I met Richie about 2 years ago when I first got my Jeep Compass and I have not been to another mechanic since. He is super personable and honest. He always goes over exactly how much everything cost on his end and what he is charging me. My jeep has been nothing but trouble, but every issue I present to Richie has been resolved and always within a day or two. Highly recommended.

Richie is the best!! Extremely knowledgeable, honest, and cares about his work. Have brought 2 vehicles to him in the last year. Both times he was able to take the trucks in the shop in less than 3 days. Stayed late both times to make sure he would get the trucks back ASAP. Would recommend to anyone his service is incomparable to other shops!

I was in need of a brake job BADLY. I called a few places around and was told to drop it off later in the week but I couldn’t wait that long. I called Richie, who has done work on my car a few years ago and he said bring it right down! I was able to get a brake job done in a few hours and my vehicle was able to pass inspection the following day! Richie was prompt at getting me in and making sure I left happy. My brakes started making a lot of noise and the person I normally bring my car too said they couldn't fit me in. Richie had me drop it off and was able to fit me in and get them done the same day right before a long holiday weekend. His pricing is very competitive and he was up front, honest, and super nice. I wish I could give this place more stars!!! Due to my neglect my car needed a laundry list of repairs to get back in working order. Richie went through my car top to bottom and thoroughly explained exactly what needed to be done to get the car in tip top shape. He provided several options on the repairs and the cost of each repair. The price was more than fair and to my surprise I had my car back the next day. I highly recommend Richie's Auto Care for any services that your car may need. He is very trustworthy and my car runs great!
