This is the worst place to go to They had no parking, terrible customer service. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle they parked 3 streets away with the keys inside of my vehicle. If you love your car, I would not trust this place.

Don’t trust this shop, they’re very dishonest and don’t care for anything aside from their interest. I came in for a transmission replacement and got a warranty. Was facing clear issues with the transmission and on top of that my trucks electrical was off all within 2 weeks of it getting replaced so I came back, they told me it wasn’t the transmission when it clearly was. They offered to fix “all the problems” for a ridiculous price of $5,000. I pulled my truck out of there. Don’t come to this shop, they “fix” your initial problem and create a whole bunch of new problems so you return.

Got my car ‘fixed’ here multiple times only for another issue to happen right after the work was completed. Brought it to a shop I had been using previously and they found parts put in wrong and backwards. Everett Transmission has lost my trust.

I had a fantastic experience at Everett Transmission & Auto Repair. I received assistance from Antonio for my 100k maintenance and he answered every question I had regarding pricing with different parts, and labor costs. Additionally, they got my car back to me in the same day! I will definitely be coming back here.

This isn’t a good place to repair, I don’t suggest. I drop my car on friday and he is supposed to finished it on monday, but he didn’t even update so I call him on monday and ask him is my car ready? He said no, it takes time wednesday will be ready. But he call me on tuesday and say it takes time. We have a deal $600 to fix my car but he call me and said $850. So I bring my car back. Never go to this place. Crazy ??

Call about an issue with my car. It wouldn't run after taking to car wash and washing engine. Person over phone was helpful and tried to help solve problem. They seem to know what they're doing and care about the work. Was able to fix problem after trouble shooting over phone. Would highly recommend.

I was buying a new car and needed a mechanic to take a look at it. Roberto gave it a thorough inspection and was very detailed with his report. He is clearly very knowledgeable and was great to work with.

I spent over $1200 here trying to get a relatively straightforward repair done (I had to tow it back several times because the repair repeatedly failed). Each time I towed it back they found something else wrong with my car. Last time I picked it up, as I was driving it home, my engine began overheating. Turns out my radiator was broken. It’s almost as if these guys were deliberately breaking stuff in my car. I decided to stop bringing my car back to them and took it to my regular mechanic who found a bunch of other problems. I ended up junking the damn car, after spending $1200+ with these trying to get a simple repair done. It was a huge mistake bringing my car here in the first place. Stay away!

I just had some minor work done on my car here and the bill was very unreasonable considering the services that were rendered; and that’s after I complained and received a *discount. *They tried charging me $80 to swap out a battery and plug one leaking tire. We settled @ $51 but i felt like I was being overcharged. The lead mechanic complained that, because they were understaffed, they could not dedicate any more time to my vehicle which requires a full electric diagnostic check. (Some things are not receiving any power such as the passenger-side window and the rear door/hatch.) I left my car there overnight and walked 20 minutes home to my apartment. Then I walked back there today to pick it up because I will need to drive to work tomorrow. I thought they had plenty of time to check the vehicle over to find the problem and fix it. They had roughly 24 hours. FYI - The last new battery [that I had recently installed myself from AutoZone a few months back] was inferior, so Everett T&AR assisted me with replacing it. They also plugged one of my tires that had a nail in it (and a slow leak) but I just now realized I was charged for 2 tire plugs. I wish I had realized it at the shop because the mechanic and I were bickering about what I was getting charged for and we had to come to an agreement. In the end, I was over-charged for a tire plug that I was charged $25 for. I’m not happy and not gonna bother calling them again to fight some more because we already reconciled at a lower price that seemed troublesome for them. I’m over it, I’ll just never go back or refer anyone there. Their loss because I would have brought them some more business for myself and my circle of connections nearby.

The quote was about 800 lower than actual cost. Transmission replaced, but gear selector incorrectly reassembled. Noticeable engine vibration through the steering wheel. You get what you pay for, take your car to the dealer if you can. I’m not going to waste my time explaining why the gear selector shouldn’t move through the gear selections and a shop should just admit if they don’t know how to put it back together correctly. Update; transmission rebuild last maybe 5,000 miles. Avoid. 2nd update: they removed the engine brace rebuilding the transmission and didn’t replace it. Avoid these people.

Came in here for diagnostics on my transmission. I was told I needed a whole new transmission but wasn’t given a reason why (Roughly 10k for everything). I decided to come in and the man at the front was very rude. I asked what ran up on the code for the diagnostic and he said “I don’t know”. I was very frustrated after going back and forth with him and wanted to leave so I paid. When he handed me my keys he said “Mitsubishis and Hyundai keep us in business it’s great.” I just felt very off put by it made me not want to get serviced by them. The receipt he gave me had no information on it besides that I refused a new transmission. Felt like they didn’t even run the tests. When I had dropped my car off in the beginning a different guy was very helpful and great. But this one was so rude and not helpful at all.

Had a great experience they rebuilt my transmission about 2 weeks ago they told me my vehicle will be ready in week and it was. They gave me a two year warranty and a free check up after 2000 Miles. So far I have no issues with my transmission, If that continues I think I found a new place to take my truck.

In late January, the transmission on my 2015 suburban came to their shop damaged, and they rebuilt it with a reasonable price. And now, I've already put 10000+ HARD miles on that rebuilt transmission, and it always shifts pretty well. Time and mileage can examine and prove their quality of service. They really did a great job! Alan and his technicians are very friendly and helpful too.

A mechanic friend and I were recently discussing shops we've had bad experiences with and I was reminded of my experience at Everett Trans that happened before Google reviews were a thing. Per the recommendation of a family member, I brought my vehicle here to have the transmission rebuilt for $1800 and Al was initially friendly enough as well as staff. After about 900 highway miles, it needed the governor pressure sensors replaced because it wasn't up shifting back to first so they replaced them. Fast forward another couple thousand highway miles and the whole trans needs to be rebuilt again but Al wants another $1250 and mistakenly I agree. The 2nd time I go to pick it up, he tosses me the keys without wanting to answer any more questions so I take it and leave. Anyone want to guess how long the second rebuild lasted? About 6K highway miles and it wouldn't shift into 3rd anymore and was making a rubbing noises which sounded like the input shaft above 25mph. At this point I got rid of the vehicle and got something else. As a mechanic myself, I understand that every shop has hits and misses so I'll avoid giving a 1 star review, it's just unfortunate that this was my experience with them.

I brought (towed) my 2003 Toyota Camry to the shop with a transmission issue. About a year ago my son had taken his newer Honda there for the same problem, the transmission. They fixed his transmission by replacing a line. Simple fix. He was delighted. They treated him very fairly. He recommended them to me. I too, was very happy. I have a little knowledge of cars and often am able to make a repair myself, but not transmissions. However, I suspected the Camry's issue was a rusted transmission line. Sure enough, that's what it was. They replaced the line and suggested the rear brakes needed some work. No pressure, just a heads up. I gave the go ahead and that was taken care of in a timely manner. I thought the price was fair and wouldn't hesitate to bring my car there again.

Great experience at Everett Transmission with Al and his team - super friendly, knowledgeable and trustworthy. I was having transmission issues with my 2005 Jeep Wrangler and brought it in for Al to take a look. They quickly did a few things to get me back on the road but ultimately I needed a new transmission. Al gave me my options, a fair price and time to decide what to do. In the end, they rebuilt the transmission and my Jeep is running like new. Everett Transmission is now my go-to place and would highly recommend without reservation.

I brought my car there when I was 17 to get the transmission fixed. Now 46 years later I’m took my truck there because it was shaking. Alan took it for a ride and told me to bring it back in a week when he had the space to fit it in. I dropped it off at 9am and at 4 he called me and said it was all set. Great work Alan. Thanks I highly recommend Everett transmission for all your auto and truck needs.

I went to two mechanics after my clutch went out asking if they could help. Both said they "didn't do that" and then told me about Everett Transmission. After calling I was able to get the car towed in and they had everything ready the week after. I would recommend this place to anyone who has transmission issues.

They are very professional, I had a great experience here. When I called the shop, they gave me an appointment the same day to fix my transmission. They did a perfect job on my car. I definitely recommend this place. Do not hesitate to see them if you are having car issues.

I purchased a new transmission a year-and-a-half ago for my 2007 Honda Accord. The service and price was very satisfactory. In addition I brought it there for my 2000 as well as my 20000 mile service, The Mechanics for quick professional and courteous I would recommend them strongly to anyone looking for a good mechanic.

This review is overdue, but this place is great! As a young gal, this was my first time taking my car to the mechanic so I knew just about nothing. They got my car in the next day, explained what they needed to do/gave a quote, and it was done same day! Even refilled my oil, which I had no idea was low. I would definitely recommend!

My first time here and I had my transmission rebuilt. Thanks to AL and the rest of the guys for taking me in right away and getting my job done in a very timely manner. I found the service to be very professional and courteous and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Al and his team are a solid 10. Not your typical run around auto service shop. Will handle your vehicle like its theirs, will treat you like family, and will go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. Can safely recommend Al and his team at Everett Transmission without a hesitation.

Had purchased an older vehicle a month ago . And Al was so very helpful with re building my transmission as well as fixing a few other issues that I had not even thought about . He uncovered that my rear wheel bearing was about to come off and also fixed my E brake that was no longer functioning. It was long process but he was very patient and answered my questions . Sometimes its not always about getting the job done cheapest. It was quality of the actual work . I'll be using Al again in the future. He's a stand up guy.

I am way over due for this review. I just wanted to let everyone know how good this place is. I brought in my boyfriend’s car because he had some issues with his car’s transmission. I met Al the owner of the shop, and we began talking, he asked me some questions about the car, and he was very sweet. He has also lived in Everett for a couple years now so he is very familiar with the area. Al was very kind enough to call my boyfriend’s dealer and found out I could take his car there instead, and all the work for the transmission would be covered since it still is under guarantee. He found that out for me when I had completely forgotten to ask my boyfriend about this first. Al did not have to do that, anyone else probably would have just taken my money, but Al was very kind enough to do that. I appreciate his honesty so much. He has numerous services you can get at his shop. Very nice guy! I will always be thankful of him and I will be back for future services! I definitely would recommend to anyone.

I am beyond happy with Everett Transmission. Not only was the estimate on the low side, but it came out to be less than what they originally had said. More importantly, my clutch feels better than it did when I bought the car! It's effortless shifting now--smooth as butter. Louis (Luis?) handled my car throughout the whole process and was sure to keep me updated on everything. He also had a fantastic demeanor and was extremely friendly. I will recommend Everett Transmission to everyone I know!

After having several transmission issues with my 2002 Odyssey van I consulted Yelp and Google reviews and found this shop. Called and talked with the owner and made arrangement to drop off for full analysis and their recommendation. Louis handled the check-in and very capably explained the process they would use and the estimated costs of the likely options they would have. He called later in the day, just as he promised he would, and gave me the options. I chose the remanufacture because of the 3 year/100,000mile nationwide warranty. He said he would need three days to turn it around which fit my schedule, but I told him I really needed it by 4pm of the third day to take family members to Logan for an international flight. Louis called me a day early to say that the van was done early because he knew I really needed it on time. When I picked it up I then scheduled a time for them to do a timing belt replacement. This is one of the most friendly, competent and professional car repair shops I have ever used and I find their prices to be very reasonable, especially considering that this is Boston and not rural Virginia where my wife and I lived before moving here to be with my son and his family in retirement (assisting with childcare logistics). This van works really well for our current situation and I hope to get another 3-4 years of service out of it. My one wish? That I would have done my search for a great transmission shop at the first indication of trouble. The level of diagnostics that these folks do is extremely good and they really know transmissions. Would likely have saved me about $600 that I paid for a temp sensor replacement and three transmission flushes.

I had my 2007 Ford Explorer fixed here and the repair went perfectly. They are exceptionally nice and easy to deal with and the price was awesome for high quality work. They also offer a warranty on the repairs. They knew what was wrong with my vehicle immediately because Explorers commonly have transmission problems.

I went to Everett transmission after being recommended by my regular mechanic. My eclipse would sometimes not reverse and all my research showed that I would need a new transmission. Kyle took the time to explain to me how other things could cause this and they made an appointment for me to bring it in to check it out. They found an electrical issue and repaired it for much less than I ever expected to spend to fix this problem. Highly recommend this place.
