The repair process was extremely slow. I dropped my car off on Saturday morning, but I didn’t get it back until next Thursday morning. They told me they would call to provide updates, but I never received any calls. I had to keep calling them myself just to check on the progress and push things along. The repairs themselves were actually quite simple — an oil change, a radiator replacement, and an A/C temperature regulator replacement. However, the overall service was very slow, and I constantly had to follow up to get updates. In the end, they charged $1,800 for replacing the radiator, changing the oil, and installing a temperature regulator. Be careful!!

?I have an appointment to get my flat tire fixed and when I arrived a rude guy just told me the mechanic didn’t show up and nobody can do nothing for me. Was my 1st time and I’ll never gonna come back. He didn’t even tried to help me to make a new appointment for the next day. How in earth they didn’t even call me to tell me to not wast my time or reschedule my appointment?? HORRIBLE STORE HORRIBLE

Had the first appointment of the day at 8am. Took them 5.5 hours for a rotation and alignment and they didn’t even get to replacing the tire sensors. Alignment doesn’t feel any better than it did when I took it in. Will never come back to this location and wouldn’t recommend it to anybody.

I booked online the installation of 4 tires and booked the appointment for it. When I arrived to the store they look for the booked tires and were not available. I fear that they will not grant the quality and price for what I booked my tires. They told me that they will call me when the tires get in the store. Already passed 9 days and no news of them! Hopefully, they reach out to me soon!

Very unprepared shop. Didnt honor appointment. Final price was $50 higher than online quote. Made me wait 8 hours for 4 tires & an alignment. Will not use them again.

Easy check-in easy checkout. They are all very friendly and helpful. I just didn't expect having an appointment would take so long but I was very grateful. Because I needed a tire desperately.

I hate the experience, I drop off my car 8am , is supposed to get ready in the afternoon. I live in Florida and I warned that I would need the car as soon as possible because it is leaving, in short I had to go to the store almost at closing time to get information about my car, the person was rude, did not apologize or explain the delay, said he would call me to pick up the car, they called me at 10pm. If they weren't prepared to do the work, they could have said they couldn't do it. It caused me a lot of inconvenience.

My son had his BMW towed there due to having a blowout on the highway. The next day he was advised that they had his tires in stock. Although he only needed to replace one tire, they advised him that they had to replace them all, and they were running a sale, buy 2 get 2 free. However, what they did not tell him is that they were putting regular tires on the car, when he had run flats on the car. One would think if they, have your tires in stock they would be the same tire that was on the car to begin with, and not take it upon themselves to put regular tires on the car without advising the customer. In addition, when taking the tires off the rims, they used a metal lever also known as a duck head and ruined the rims. If I could give them a ZERO star I would. That is one company I never plan to do business with again. Very unprofessional.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I had an appointment for 1:30pm and arrived at 1:25pm the customer service agent told me they are behind only 1 tech was working and my car would not be ready until after 5pm. I told him that was fine and I would pick my car up around 6:30pm. The rep calls me at 6:47pm and asks me if I was planning to pick up the car that evening they close at 8. I asked him if the car would be completed by then he said more than likely. He then says I would get a text when the car is completed. I call the following day at 10:00am to get an update and was left on hold for 30 minutes. They then did not answer the phone. I finally got a hold of someone at 12:00pm and he proceeded to tell me they can not do tires today. I can come pick up my car and reschedule! After $60 dollars in Lyfts they never touched my car! I then asked him to refund the installation fee and I would take the tires to my mechanic he advised me it is just a hold. So now I have to wait days for them to release hundreds of dollars for absolutely nothing. Don’t go to this place I don’t care how many free tires they offer you.

Walked in as a scheduled service for 8am Monday 11/24. I called the office was told they were running behind to came in 2 hours after now that the technician was finalizing it. I showed up having arranged transportation at 4:30pm and the car was still on the lift, the technician comment from the advisor was a lie. The car was not given back to me until Tuesday 11/25th. In which I asked if the TPMs sensors were programmed to my computer since the light was still lit on the dash, the advisor once again assured me it had been programmed. He told me I had to drive more, I am not many miles in since then and still the light is on. On my drive home I felt a significant amount of vibration on the tires, too much. The steering wheel would shake at 65miles per hour. As soon as I got home, I got under the car to check for wheel weights. All of the weights were untouched, still with break dust, not only did they not balance the tires as charged on the invoice, they also scratched 3 ljt of 4 rims on the machine. There are wear marks from dropping the rim onto the mounting plate. I call the store and asked to speak with the Manager (George Murphy). I relayed all of my findings and concerns for lack of accountability. Specifically callout the person who I know did the work since he was a a new tech and I overheard when they were trying to put them under the job for pay. During my wait time to get the vehicle back, two other families were sharing their disappointment and frustration with the store for lying about wait times a day working being done prior to them getting there, and additionally an appointment cancelation due to the store selling the tires that were meant for the installation appointment. Given all this information I went ahead and got my tires checked by another company, they showed me and effectively all the wheels were untouched, with averages of 2.5 outboard and 1.5 inboard across all 4 without signs of Pep Boys putting new ones on. They also found three lug nuts completely stripped out. I am currently now without working sensors which I payed $360 for and fees and charges for the balancing and stud repairs related to the bad Pep Boys service that this other company kindly corrected. Overall I am Very disappointed and offended that this work which is the “bread and butter” of the services you all provided was not done, charged for and the rest done half way with damages.

This place is an absolute joke. I made an appointment for 9 am to get new tires which I had already paid for online. I get here at 9 am to drop my car off and they tell me 1) the tires I ALREADY PAID FOR may be out (luckily they weren’t but come on!!) and 2) the car technicians don’t come in until 10. After hearing nothing by 2 I call and ask if my car is ready. They inform me they are about to start on it at 2:33 and it should take 45 minutes. They then try to upsell me on product. I receive no communication for them, so at 5 I go to pick up my car in which they inform me no one has changed my tires and I now need to wait 10 minutes for them to do said tire change. What were they doing all day?? They tell me the 9 am drop off time was not an appointment rather just when I’m dropping my car off and other cars who were here first got done before me. Who was here before me?? Do not come here. It’s an absolute joke. Would give 0 stars if possible.

Terrible experience! I ordered four tires online a few days ago and scheduled an appointment for yesterday at afternoon. After arriving, I was informed that there was absolutely no chance I could get my tires changed. The frontdesk told me that I should come the next morning at 8. So I did. After arriving, the same frontdesk went to look for the tires multiple times for ~40 min and told me there were no tires for my car. I reserved the tires online, which weren’t actually reserved. I made appointment online, which they could’t fulfill. The entire company seems disorganized. Stay away from pep boys. I ended up walking in to the Town Fair Tire a few blocks apart. The boys there were helpful and got my four tires changed in <2h. Just go to Town Fair Tire.

Went in there to get some tires installed, spoke to a really nice gentleman his name was Rudy, helped me out and communicated with me. Took some time to get my vehicle finished but he made sure to get it done. He gave great customer service

Made an appointment on Thursday. Showed up, they didn't have enough tecs to get it done so I agreed to come back another day. Came back Saturday. They said they had a really full day. I said it was fine and I could leave it with them. If they got to it by the end of the day, great. If not It would be first on deck the following day. I don't hear it from anybody all day Sunday. I called them at 3:00pm. They tell me they're working on it now and will call me when it's done. Then I don't hear from anyone again. I called back at 5:45. Nobody picks up and their voicemail is full. They will have had my car for 2 days, just to get a set of tires. I'd rate it lower but everyone was really chill and friendly. Clearly something's going on in the shop where there's a lot of miscommunication happening. I'm hoping I can get my car back Monday.

I had a very disappointing and frustrating experience at this Pep Boys location. I want other customers to be aware of what happened so they don’t go through the same thing. The store manager George did not honor what was guaranteed to me and made it feel like they were trying to make extra money off me. My lifetime alignment service, which Rudy confirmed in the system the day before, was suddenly missing when I returned. This is unacceptable and shows a lack of honesty and accountability. I was also treated very rudely by Parid, who declined service unless I could prove I had spent $2,000 at Pep Boys in the past, something that was never required or mentioned before. This completely contradicts what Rudy told me, and it felt like they were making up excuses. I arrived at 5:00 PM and left by 5:17 PM, feeling misled and disrespected. Instead of correcting the mistake, George acted like he was “doing me a favor,” even though I clearly explained that I drove far based on his employee’s guarantee that my alignment would be honored as a one year goodwill transfer. I asked for the appointment to be entered into the system, but George refused and only gave a verbal promise. That is not acceptable customer service. Overall, I left feeling misled, dismissed, and treated unfairly. I do not recommend this location, and I hope management takes these issues seriously.

These guys were great. They communicated clearly, they worked with me on pricing, And they helped me get peace of mind after repairs to my car. I thought their level of professionalism was better than most body shops. And the pricing was about what I expected. I had my shocks and struts replaced, new brakes, power steering, and a few other things worked on.

Took about an hour and 20 minutes from when my car was driven in the garage for one tire to be replaced. Would recommend going somewhere else for quicker and easier service. The employees at the front are very friendly and professional though.

Guy at the desk was great but the guy working at the back not so... scratched my rim when he installed the tire. I have a circumfrential scratch accross the rim. The line was initially black, i thought it was just a rubber but when i got home i tried to clean it off and couldnt.

Went to have tires replaced, called and they said they could do it same day. Dropped off the car around noon, said I’d get text when it was done. I uber back home ~20-30 min. About 90 minutes later get a text my car is done. I’m surprised it was that quick, so I call to check and they confirm I’m all ready for pickup. I uber back, pay for the services (price seemed fine). Then they seem to have some trouble finding my key… …Turns out it was a different car of the same model they finished on, mine still isn’t done yet. I say “it happens, can you give me a sense of when mine will be done? Because if it’s >2 hours I’ll leave and come back later”. I get told “the tech always says 1 hour, but he says that for everything”. So I figure that it’ll be maybe hour or two and I’ll just wait. That was around 2:45-3pm. Maybe I shoulda been more of a jerk and asked em to prioritize me since they messed up and called me back so early or something? I was there till 7:30, so just shy of 5 hours. I get that the shop’s busy, and mistakes happen (though asking for a license plate number or something could have easily made this mixup avoidable?), but the sheer lack of transparency of any sort in the timing of stuff burned my whole afternoon. Why not just up front say “We don’t know when we’ll get to it, end of day for sure” off the rip? At least I saved the $50 ubering back and forth (again) I guess.

Just looked me dead in the eyes and said they cannot replace one tire after having my car for four and a half hours because it would mess up my differentials. Unfortunately I should have changed the tire on my own which I’ve done multiple times. I’ve never messed up the differentials myself, just replacing out one tire. Also they do not prioritize appointments. Go bs someone else in this economy, btw the other three tires are not excessively worn not that he even mentioned that as the reason they couldn’t do one tire.

Absolutely terrible experience and customer service. Got there early for an appointment, was told the appointment doesn't save your spot, waited 30 minutes for the car to get taken in. Before that they looked up the appointment and said they didn't even know if they had those tires, keeping in mind I had to wait a week after making the appointment specifically because they said they had to order the tires in the first place. Luckily they did actually have them. Then during the almost two hour wait following I keep looking in the garage to see no one even working, everyone keeps going out back I assume to smoke or take breaks, we can see them smoking, one of them looks like they smoking a joint but can't confirm that, was definitely something rolled. Like whatever but annoying and very slow work for absolutely no reason. The two employees running the registers were eating their lunches at the cash wrap. Super unprofessional environment. Then they finally finish and I go to get my keys and they say I need to pay again. I made this appointment a week ago and paid online, I showed bank statement that shows the payment is processed and money is taken from my account. They call the manager, named George Murphy, who says on their end it isn't paid, he's yelling at us over the phone saying we can't get the car back unless we pay again, and insisting the charge is from the tire warehouse and pep boys hasn't been paid even tho the transaction literally says pep boys on the bank statement and his employees see this with their own eyes on my phone. We go back and forth but he is keeping the car hostage and weve been here for over two hours. We pay a second time and get our car. Now we need to spend time going through our bank to get one of the payments back, and till then we dont have access to $700 we should. Absolutely never going back here again. Run away. Will be calling corporate Tuesday as we tried calling today and the customer service line is closed due to the Sunday and tomorrow is a holiday. I went to check the account again and can clearly see two transactions, one completed and fully processed from last week, and one pending from today both the same amount and both from Pep Boys.

They did my tires though it took quite sometime. I was there for 1:30 which sucked. The trash was over full and falling all over the floor so unsanitary but they got me back on the road after a blow out. I don't like the fact of every single add on of price they can do to charge you with they do. Next time I'll go to Walmart and wait the extra time they are also cheaper. Everything there is included in a price no extra fees.

Overall great experience. Total service time (including the wait time) was 2 & 1/2 to 3 hours. Had all 4 tires replaced. Guy was nice and offered a promo he said they were currently having, which was helpful. Worked in the waiting area. It was quiet enough. 2 Dunkin’s and a Popeyes nearby, so I walked over to get some lunch. One suggestion I’d give is to have a music channel or connect the tv properly to the internet so customers can use the music apps on the tv. I know it’s obviously not a top priority, but it would have been nice to have some music to listen to while working and waiting for my car to get serviced.

I arrived 15 minutes early for an 8:30am alignment appointment after working an overnight shift. Despite being the first customer there, I was told to wait 45 minutes because the mechanic hadn’t arrived yet. What followed was four and a half hours of delays and excuses: “You’ll be next,” “just another 30 minutes.” Meanwhile, I watched other customers come in, get serviced, and leave. When I finally said I’d reschedule and pointed out the obvious, they went to pull my vehicle in—only to immediately tell me my tread was too low for an alignment and I’d need four new tires. At that point, I simply left. I’ve worked in customer service for over 30 years, and I’ve never experienced this level of poor communication, mismanagement, and lack of consideration. Maybe it was just a bad day for the Everett store, but they completely ruined mine. Would not recommend.

Dropped car off at 11:30 was told 4 hours wait to change 2 tires, 4 tire jobs ahead of me. 4hrs later I call for a update. Told my car is next. I ask will it be done today because I was told 4hrs. I was told yes . At 7 I get a call my car will not be done and was not started... the tech wasn't aware of the job. I was quoted 4 hours but got my car 23 hours after dropping it off I miss 12 hours of work. .. I expected to miss 5. The manager or at least the guy i assume is the manager didn't care at all and brushed it off as no big deal. Horrible customer service..

The level of Godlike incompetence, with a capital G, is staggering. The front desk clerk, (who, according to him, was the manager.) Check me in for a "Engine Diagnostic Service $110.002" 90 Day, 4,000 mile labor warranty Variety of tests to effectively diagnose engine-related problem(s) Once your vehicle's on-board computer has been scanned and the DTCs retrieved, it is time to diagnose the malfunction. Technicians at Pep Boys will walk you through what the DTC means and provide the recommendations and quality service you need. Features: Road test of vehicle to verify complaint (if running) Visual inspection of engine compartment for abnormal electrical or vacuum related conditions Complete battery and charging system analysis Database check for any technical service bulletins issued by the vehicle manufacturer that may be related to the DTC(s) One or more of the following tests: Fuel pressure Spark Compression Individual component A reason for the cause of the malfunction Repair estimate Courtesy vehicle inspection" Not what I asked for. Even if you have 4 flat tires and you’re in front of this shop don’t go in there. RUN from there. This place is a total scam. Went to go get tire sensors and had 3 cars in front of me. Tell me how it took them 3 days to finish my car. The cherry on top is I get my car back with a cracked windshield. The manager Thomas checked the cameras and said it came in like that. I said “great ,when can I come in and see the footage you saw” he said can’t do. I said “so you don’t want to show me the footage or pay for my windshield, put yourself in my shoes” he said “ I don’t need too”. Hilarious ??. Long story short even if they offered services for free I would stay far from that place. I honestly didn’t check the reviews before going there but I believe every single one. FYI this is the second review I have written my whole life, the first one being a good review…

Worst experience I've ever had with a mechanic. Fixed my original issue, but wrecked my side mirror and flat-out refused to take any responsibility or accountability for it. In addition, they misled me and held onto my car for a full extra day for no reason. When I realized my side mirror was busted, I returned to point it out (as politely as I could). Without even looking up my information, I was told that my side mirror was fine when it left their shop, so therefore it was my problem and not theirs. When I pressed and showed them my mirror, he said he'd "check the tapes and get back to you, but I'm sure it was fine when it left here". Didn't give me one second more of time. Never got back to me. In addition, they misled me about how long the original repair would take. I knew they had one specific mechanic who could perform the test I needed (smoke test for EVAP), so when I arrived in the morning, I immediately asked if he was in or if I should come back another day. I was told it was fine, it would only take a few hours. Then after a few hours, they told me to go home since it would take until the end of the day. They never contacted me, so right before they closed I called and asked what was up. They told me that they had looked, but needed their lead mechanic to "verify" what they had found, and he was only in tomorrow. So why have their original mechanics look at all? Complete waste of a day, which was especially obnoxious since I had tried to be proactive about it. Never going back here. I would be willing to let literally all of this go if I was treated respectfully and professionally, but unfortunately the exact opposite was true.

If I could give this place a 0 I would. My car was in the shop for a week and a half longer than estimated. The staff were incredibly rude and dismissive in every conversation. Once I did pick it up, they informed me that my car was broken into while in their care, and the thieves broke my glove box, left knife marks on my dashboard, and completely trashed the cab of my car, leaving knives and drug paraphernalia for me to clean up. It has now been a month and a half, and the shop still has not repaired my glove box as promised, and every call ends with, “We don’t know when it will be fixed. Keep waiting.” I genuinely don’t believe they have any intention of repairing this damage. On top of that, they had installed the oil pan incorrectly, causing a massive oil leak that nearly drained my pan. I had to sit at the shop for three hours while they fixed their mistake without even an apology. They also removed the carpet from my driver’s side to access my steering column, and never replaced it, leaving my steering column exposed. I have emailed corporate three times over the last two months and received no answer. This shop will give you the run around, damage your car, and treat you with utter disregard. Take your car literally *anywhere* else.
