Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had with any towing company. My neighbors vehicle disappeared on November 21, in our neighborhood and we later discovered it had been taken by this company without my knowledge, authorization, or any legitimate explanation. After searching my VIN, I found that the company had illegally sold it to a dealership in Virginia. To this day, they have refused to provide documentation, itemized fees, notices, or ANY information required by Maryland law. Based on everything we’ve experienced, I have serious concerns that their towing and vehicle handling practices violate state and county regulations. I have already filed formal complaints with the Maryland Attorney General, the PG County Office of Law, and the MVA, and I will fully pursue every legal and regulatory avenue available to me. Read their other reviews—this is not an isolated incident. They are known scammers who steal credit information, refuse to pick up the phone, and operate without accountability. This company should be shut down immediately. Their lack of transparency, refusal to communicate, and the illegal sale of my vehicle speak for themselves. I strongly urge anyone considering doing business with them to be extremely cautious and to document every interaction. Agencies are now investigating this situation, and I will make sure this company is held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

I called at 2:10 because someone is in my reserved spot. They said 45 minutes. I waited an hour called back they said it would be 20-25 minutes, I call back no answer. The tow guy calls me and says 36 minutes. I wait forty minutes, call back five times before I get an answer, just to be told it's another 25 minutes. I told them to cancel it because the person will end up moving before they finally show up. I been sitting in my car for almost three hours waiting for a tow. They are beyond slow, clearly don't want any money. Update: its been 25 minutes, still no tow truck.

Diamond Towing truly exemplified professionalism and honesty during a challenging time for me. After my accident late Friday night and into early Saturday morning near Old Branch Avenue, I felt overwhelmed. The staff at Diamond Towing were incredibly supportive; they helped keep me calm and reassured me that things weren't as dire as they seemed. They informed me that only the front bumper and four tires were damaged, which was a relief regarding my brown/burgundy 2022 Tahoe. Their confirmation that my truck wasn't totaled made a world of difference. I appreciate their kindness and understanding during such a stressful experience. Thank you, Jay

They are awesome! I found them through aaa but they called me and told me how long that they would be and were early! And so professional and communicative and polite! They got our car unlocked in no time!

I called AAA and they had Diamond Towing and Recovery LLC. There was this wonderful man I didn't catch his name. But he was so nice he allowed my children to sit in his truck because it was hot outside. He jumped started my car and advised me to get a battery at Costco. I was very grateful for him God was watching over me.

Diamond towing is very unprofessional and a scamming company. They claim to uphold the law but to release your car to you they demand unneeded and unnecessary paperwork to be provided after they steal your car and charge you a high price to retrieve your vehicle. Terribly this company is still in business due to laws that are crooked within towing enforcement. I’m not rich but I pray that this company get it together.

I was reluctant to call them after reading there reviews. My daughter’s car cut off on her and the insurance company was taking forever. It was dark and I wanted to get the car towed and her safe. I called and was connected with a driver within 5 minutes. Stan sent me photos and kept me updated with the status of my car. The process was easy and my daughter’s car was picked up and dropped off within 45 minutes. I will request Stan for future tows, and pray he’s available.

My car was towed at almost 3am and i noticed it was missing at 430am. The complex i live in has visitor parking that you pay for which is where the car was parked. They towed the car because it had a parking sticker in the window. I just got the car and i wasn't sure if i was supposed to throw out the parking sticker so i kept it. The sticker alone tells them that i live in the complex and i paid for the visitors parking so for them to tow the car because it has a parking sticker that was provided by the complex is just crazy !

It’s one thing for you to tow my car however it’s another for me to come get it and it’s another car blocking me in ! Then I had to wait an hour for them to even come and open the gate. Terrible company, terrible service, very petty and trifling. Been a fan of how they do business !

i’d leave 0 stars but thats impossible! we literally had a whole parking permit for the neighborhood we were in and they towed the car anyway. we have proof of confirmation to park there and etc. we call a few times after sitting and waiting at almost 12am (keep in mind we are 2 girls ALONE on this dark alias street) and the operator is all sassy and hung up on us and continuously is sending us to voicemail now.

On the evening of February 10, 2023, I parked my vehicle on Alice Avenue, adjacent to the side of 2021 Alice Avenue. When I left for work at 6 a.m., I saw that my car was not parked where I had left it the previous evening. I started contacting towing companies right away, focusing especially on the company that had a contract with my complex (Diamond towing is not contracted with my community). I got in touch with the rental office, but they had no record of the car being towed. I contacted the Prince Georges Police Department, and an officer came out to assist me with filing a stolen vehicle report after explaining my story. I was given a report number for the stolen vehicle and advised of my next steps. Days later after speaking with a few members in my community, I was advised to call Diamond Towing to see if they possibly had the vehicle. I started calling them on 02/19/2023 with no answer even though the company states that it is operated 24 hours. On 2/23/2023, I finally made contact with a woman who stated that her company, Diamond LLC., had possession of the vehicle for 13 days. When I arrived at the lot the woman was reluctant to hear what had transpired and immediately stated that I had to pay to have the vehicle released. Her tactless and insolent responses to my questions obviously irritated her and she began to get in her car and leave the lot. Fearing that I would possibly never see my vehicle again, I blocked the woman in the lot so that she could not leave and called the police. When the responding officer arrived, the officer advised the woman that he would be taking possession of the vehicle as it was reported stolen. I asked the woman for any documentation and a picture of the infraction which caused my vehicle to be towed and she did not present any documentation which is required. My vehicle was stolen by Diamond Towing LLC! My vehicle ultimately towed to the police impound lot, where I paid $215.00 to have the vehicle released. S

The aggressive and intimidating behavior of the company employees is a huge concern, as well as some of the towing could be criminal. Today around 11 am, a cleaning service (which is clearly marked on their vehicle) was at my house cleaning and the woman comes inside from getting her supplies frightened, saying a man jumped from the tow truck and was taking pictures of her and her vehicle front and back. Then he suddenly drove off by the time I got outside. She was so frightened and did not understand why or what they did that for and did not tow her car. Just stalking the community and their guests!!! I have lived in my community for 20 plus years and 1 star is 1 star too much for them. They towed my cars and my sons car, yet we have two designated spaces. I experienced the rude and nasty behavior displayed by the drivers, so myself and my sons have always called police to meet us in retrieving a vehicle, the location of the facility and history, do not go there without notifying someone or authorities!!!!! THIS WAS NOT TOWED or IMPOUNDED. The stalking and intimidation of the residents and their guest will not be tolerated. Our community has stickers, so these cannot and are not to be transferred during the day when we have visitors. It is my understanding there are 6 more active lawsuits pending against this company. Continue the nonsense and there will be more!!!

This is a very unprofessional fraudulent towing company. Fraudulently towing cars from residential areas before 8pm on property they own! The lady is very rude and unprofessional and handles business off of emotions. Nothing good will come to this company or from them. By the look of the rest of comments their business won’t be around for much longer. HOA and the community will make sure of it!

Terrible customer service. Says they’re open 24 hours. Waited for over an hour for someone to come and open up the gate. Guy on the phone was rude and seemed miserable. We have a parking pass and they still towed us, said it didn’t matter we had a pass because they still towed our vehicle and we were responsible for labor for them towing our car - even though we have a parking pass. What a joke of a company. Diamond Towing are cockroaches of the earth.

I gave them that star. It wasn't an option for half star. I just called and was telling the guy who answered the ohone someone was parked in my drive way. He continued asking me with aggressive voice whats my spot number. After telling him several times there's no number in my driveway. He said someone will be out and it was going to take sometime because the driver was in Brandywine. You shouldn't be giving service like this. This guy was talking to me as if I was an imate at a correctional facility...... Very Wack Customer Service...

Very rude and unprofessional! I see why they have a very low rating. At the time my car was being towed, I was working just running in and out to grab someone’s food. I told the guy that but he said he didn’t care.So he took my car to the tow lot, and when I got there, I asked the girl what is the guy’s name who towed my car, she said I don’t know. So you don’t know your coworkers? This towing company needs to shut down. I’m over this whole company. And honestly from looking at other reviews, I really do think they target women !

Very rude company if they tow you just remember to check everything. Towed my car and money was missing out my car. They was rude I called police and BBB on them. The police told me the have problems like this all the time from this company. The police was very helpful and even felt bad because i wasn’t the 1st person they have done this too that he got a call about. He advised me to call BBB to file a complaint and to call my lawyer to start a lawsuit because he also told me that by law the tow company suppose to strap your car down before taking it and he didn’t.

Diamond Towing has always been professional and honest. They only tow based on the Parking rules. It looks like a lot of other reviewers had violated the rules and were upset at getting caught, so they blamed the tow company, mistakenly assuming towing is willy-nilly. If you are parked properly, you won't be towed.

I gave the driver my driver license and registration and paid the fine in cash to keep him from towing my car, the driver returned my documents and the paid receipt. When I asked the driver his name and to write it on the receipt he said NO!!! I took his picture and he said it was illegal for me to take his picture and he raised my car higher on the tow truck and called 911. The police arrived and informed me it was not illegal to take his picture and he released my car. The worst experience I have ever had!! Totally unprofessional!!!

My rental company uses this towing company to monitor the two lots on property. I don’t know why because they’re awful! The first time they towed my car it was right after we’d moved in. They said that our sticker for our property wasn’t on the car. Since we’d just moved in, we’d just put the sticker on, within 2-3 days. Also, on the backing of the sticker there was instructions on where to place it, so we placed it right where it said to. After calling the police (I thought the car had been stolen) and then the towing company they realized whoever towed us had screwed up and just didn’t see the sticker. It was there. They said I could pick my car up for free anytime. YOU TOWED IT ILLEGALLY AND I HAVE TO COME PICK IT UP?!? I don’t think so. After lots of arguing they brought my car back in about 2 hours. Now, keep in mind, they do all of their towing between midnight and 4am give or take. So when everyone is asleep and just before you have to go to work. So you go out to leave for work and your car is just gone. Real nice. Also they have a person drive around in a car checking and they’ll call the tow truck. I’ve approached them more than 3 times for being parked in the lot, car running, lights on, because they looked suspicious and I know they don’t live here. They always make up some story about waiting on a friend (at 3am??) then immediately leave. The tow truck comes within about 15 minutes after. They’re super shady about it, and aren’t careful with peoples cars or sure about needing to tow. Second time they towed my car was because my rental property was in the process of having new passes made up. For over a year. So I guess it’s partially their fault. So everyone has expired (2 years expired) visitors passes and somehow that’s ok. Well, these passes aren’t stickers, they hang from the rear view mirror. This night our pass had fallen off when we were getting out of the car and was sitting on the dashboard. So yes, it was not hanging like it should have been, but it was there in plain view. Anyway, we go to get our car and NO ONE IS THERE. Their website says 24 hours, their gate says 24 hours, but they’re NOT 24 HOURS. We had to wait almost a half hour for someone to come and release our car. And pay $175! For literally parking in the same spot our car is always in, at my apartment, for at least the last year. They see our car there every single night. These guys are opportunists, no real surprise there. They tow when they know that no one will notice and try to stop them. Like shady repo guys. Except we’re not even trying to hide! WE LIVE HERE! After picking up my car this time I asked for a pass from them. They said they couldn’t give one to me, that I had to go through my management company. My management company has been trying to get new tags for almost two years! So that’s a project for another day. Not all towing companies suck, but this one does. Avoid it if you can. I’m going to contact corporate about switching towing companies for our property. Trying to explain being 2+ hours late for work because your car was towed because the pass was on the dashboard and not hanging up is a little ridiculous. And don’t say you’re 24 hours WHEN YOU’RE NOT.

They towed my vehicle and when they finally saw proof that they shouldn't have towed it, he never apologized for the inconvenience [and this was the supervisor] in fact, he became upset because I requested an eta for the return of my vehicle. He hung up the phone on us while I was still talking [to call the employee to return the vehicle]. I've now missed my church service, and the owner of the house is late for work. [Thank God I didn't have an emergency with my child]. I will be reporting this horrible customer service to the BBB. There's no way he should've disregarded us this way when his company made a mistake. Unfortunately these companies get away with these things often but we have to speak up when they are completely wrong.

Diamond Towing company on 2 separate occasions, once in 2017 and once yesterday at 5am, towed my vehicle from a handicap spot because “it did not have a visitor's parking permit.” However, there is NO rule from the HOA that requires a visitor’s parking permit be present if parked in the handicap spot. There are 5 circumstances in which a vehcle can be towed when parked in a handicap spot but my vehicle did not violate any of them. In fact, see the email I received from the HOA the first time this happened which required the company to reimburse my payment, below. Thankfully, I kept the email which I was able to forward over to the HOA yesterday. It took a good number of emails to the HOA and calls to the tow company but eventually I was told my vehicle was towed without proper cause and would be released and returned. I have a huge problem with the release process though. Mike was the person who informed me around 2:50pm that my vehicle would be released and returned back to where it was picked up. Apparently when he left he did not tell his relief what was going on. When I called the tow company around 5pm I spoke to Stan. He had just gotten off the phone with my mom. In a very rude tone, he told her that he had no idea what Mike had discussed with me regarding my vehicle and its release, which is why I called. As I was explaining the situation to him and asking questions he began getting nasty with me as well and then hung up the phone. He eventually called me back, apologized, and let me know that he had spoken to someone (Mike or the owner, Im not Sure who) that confirmed my vehicle was due to be released and that it could be as late as 11pm before it was returned to my mother’s home. I accepted his apology but I also let him know that despite not knowing what was going on he did not need to be rude, nasty, or disrespectful to me or my mom. He said ok. My mother ended up picking up my vehicle around 930pm because it still had not yet been returned. Diamond truly needs to do a better job of communicating internally because there is no reason Stan should not have known that my vehicle was due to be released and to their customers and they need to have a more time effecient process of returning people's vehicles when they are in the wrong. Who knows what time my vehicle would have been dropped off had my mom not been able to get it. It is my hope the owner of the company properly trains all employees on proper handoffs during shift change and trains the tow truck drivers on the rules of the HOA so this NEVER happens again. Here's the email: Per our discussion regarding your vehicle being towed, and the circumstances surrounding it, let this written communication serve as notice that you should be reimbursed by the Towing company (Diamond Towing) for that error. Please be reminded however, that vehicles may be towed, even if they have a handicap hang-tag, if the following circumstances are present: - vehicle is inoperable for more than 72 hours; - vehicle has been stationary for more than 72 hours; - vehicle has a handicap hang-tag, but vehicle license plates are expired; - individual is using the handicap hang-tag permit fraudulently; - handicap space is an assigned handicap space for the house nearby, in which case only that homeowner can utilize it; such homeowner must still have handicap tags and /or hang-tags displayed, however no other party (handicap tags/hang tag or not) can park there. To my understanding none of these 5 conditions were present at the time the vehicle was towed. Therefore, it shouldn’t have been towed. We are sorry for the inconvenience, and wish you the best.

They are the reason education is so important. Lawyers, car company is just shocked that they are allowed to operate. The news wants to feature my story and I’m excited to expose these crooks, who have partnered with Jaspers restaurants ( both Black owned, of course) to defied customers. Let them run around laws, after they charge 500.00, the plethora of visions is a felony. Of course they’re unprofessional, but that’s speaks to their childhood. I will never support Black owned anything, and these socially and educationally humans have gotten away for much too long. Keep changing their policies each time I go up, each recording I have, they requested different items to release my car. Then, hang on my lawyer and car company. I can’t wait to pay this 500.00, and expose them to furthest the state and national law permits. You have to fight back people!

While on my way home from work, my car began to hesitate, feeling unsafe to drive the rest of the way. I’d remember previously being serviced by Diamond Towing in the past, I quickly thought of them to call to my rescue. Stan called to verify my location in less than 10 mins from me requesting road side assistance. Stan and the Diamond Towing crew really help subside my anxiety of being stuck on the side of the road. It was sought that not only my car but myself was safely transported home. The level of professionalism and punctuality displayed by this company was phenomenal...my sincere thanks to Stan and Diamond Towing for coming to my rescue. It is greatly appreciated.

VERY UNPROFESSIONAL business. Staff unlawfully towed my vehicle; when I arrived at location, nobody was there. When I called the place, I was hung up on 4 times. After 20mins of waiting in an alley (where the place is located), driver Mike arrives with a female riding shotgun that didn't work there. Tried to pay with a card for the tow, and the machine all of sudden breaks, so he says we have to go get cash. HOW???? You have my car! Then he calls another coworker (light skin bearded guy with white van) and he comes threatening and cursing at me. I was appalled and felt very unsafe. This entire experience was something I never expected to encounter or wouldn't want to ever again. I rate this company a ZERO in professionalism, courtesy, customer service, and all of the above.

This Tow company is the worst. The man took my car without strapping it and stopped at a gas station less than a block away from where I was parked to strap and report the car. HE DID NOT SECURE THE CAR BEFORE PULLING OFF WHICH IS DANGEROUS TO OTHER PEOPLE. It was dark and I didn’t see the handycap sign on the ground. I asked the A man to please drop it since he was still close to the property and not at the lot yet. He told me it would be 175! It is the holidays and it’s freezing outside my daughter was crying and all my groceries and gifts for her was in the car. He didn’t offer the 50 dollar drop price after I explained that i didn’t see the sign when i pulled back. It should be some type of price when you are not at the lot yet. We seen the man when he was reporting my car at the gas station. He could’ve dropped the car for the 50 dollars. It’s Christmas and I had my daughter out in the cold! This company is cold hearted and have no care for people. I’m thankful the stranger offered to take me their and pay for it. Hopefully this will show them how to have some type of heart. I’m thankful to God that people still are able to pay it forward to strangers. The tow truck man also lied! He told the man that he couldn’t use is card because it didn’t have my name on it! Which made a bad night worse. He made the man drive all the way to the atm! Knowing he could’ve took the card! How are tow xompanys allowed to pull off the property without PROPERLY SECURING THE CAR! I’m in training for a CDL and know you not supposed to drive away without proper securing the cargo!

This company is desperate to collect a buck from people. My husband stopped in front of Auto Zone to get a diagnostic on the engine service light. While he was standing at the car with the technician the towing truck hooked his car and tried to tow it. He was trying to explain what are they doing but the tow truck guy stated that it will cost for him 50 bucks to unhook since this is a no parking zone. You must have lack of business driving around trying to collect 50 bucks from people who stop for 2 minutes having a service done. I hope you spend it on medicine. *I will not remove my review. Take it like a champ instead of accusing me of misleading. The company's name is printed on the receipt along with the address of the incident.

Okay so every bad comment about this place is definitely true. They tow cars between 3-5 am right before work to piss people off. Second they don't answer their "cell phone" unless they want to. My car was towed from in front of my house because it didn't have the new parking sticker which I understand but I also believe it was because he seen my tags were from dc. I have had my car for over a year with no scratches or accidents. However these people tow my car and the driver not just damaged my car but F***ed it up bad. And if you look at it you can tell that it smacked something and slid across. I picked my car up about 3 hours after it is towed. I don't give them and hassle argument or nothing. I pay,( I'm frustrated because I leave out to go to work and my car is gone) and I leave. As I'm driving I can hear something moving a bit in the back so when I'm finally get out the car and I am just standing I see that the right side f my bumper is completely cracked from the top to th bottom and it was my muffler shaking. Long story short I called them which was probably an hour maybe 2 after picking my car up and the boy who answers the phone there tells a bunch of damn stories of where the manager is once he find out what you are calling bout. I called damn near everyday for a week and then they stop answering the phone when they seen my number pop up and the guy who answers even had the audacity to tell me that calling there as many times as I did was like being a pest. The manager didn't call and never came to the phone for a good 2 weeks. So I randomly popped up and he is just sitting in the little dumb ass booth saying he was so busy. I let him know that the least you can do is let me know something and not just duck my calls. So all of a sudden his system not working I gotta come back or call back. He doesn't see any damages before the car was towed but the discrepancy is that I drove it off the lot but I also called back the same day like a hour later. I didn't magically have any damn accident in that time frame. This company is not professional at all and he never had any intentions on calling me back. No one there knows how to conduct business or do their job correctly, but they do know how to swipe your credit card and collect the money.
