Una ⭐Pues creo lo que merecen algunos trabajadores ahi son demasiado exagerados a la hora de separar el metal y la pesa q esta afuera suele estar desbalanceada ya q las cuñas q tiene abajo suelen moverse y eso hace q tu carga pese menos y el precio no es el mas alto pagan menos que en otros lugares
Hours of operation said open till 6pm went there after work because supposedly one of few places open late and I get off at 4:30 and most other yards are closed. I pulled up at 5:19 and they was locked up tighter than Fort Knox if you have hours posted stick to them
New managent now a lady runs Kirby and she really knows the business. She just made Kirby the best scrap yard to come to great prices and customer service is excellent I can't say enough good things about management.
She so lazy lady working in office...she took a paper work for 1hour....No body come here pick the load..Shipper take a five hour loding my truck..This facility no have room for dock..This company no have good management..so that's why I give to one star...everybody check photo also...
There is new management there now a lady she is running that scrapyard like a well grease machine. She got guys helping you unload your stuff with forklifts into big bins no more workers standing around looking unhappy.She is hands on u need to talk to her she comes out the back and gives great prices.
Good experience. New to scrapping. I had what I thought was all dirty brass, but they helped me separate the metals so I could get their best price. Turns out I had 2/3 clean brass out of my pile lol. I would give five starts but there phone line doesn’t seem active, so I couldn’t check prices ahead of time.
I would have given them five stars, if it wasn't for the dock!
The people that work here are great from the boss on down. Loading was fairly quick once you get in the dock.
When you get there, do not attempt to back in until you talk to the employees. You have to go three blocks away to weigh the truck, which is good because it sets you up for a sight side back into the place.
They will come out and stop traffic for you as you back in off the street. From there it gets worse!
You basically have to back the trailer through a gate and 90 degrees into a dock. They will help you, and watch all sides, but it is a very difficult dock to hit.
I was happy they were open I didn't realize it's a holiday it was a little difficult to find at first gps only helps sometimes but once you know it's no problem very nice people and service was great
They really do pay top dollar for a lot of their metal and the staff are very helpful. They don't give change, they just round up to the nearest dollar.
Should have called around before coming here. They paid me 1.5 cents/lb for scrap metal while Potomac in Waldorf would have paid 3 cents/lb. Clinton Metal was closed but I did call Woodbridge just to see and they're paying 4 cents/lb. Call around before you go. I'll give them 2 stars because they're easy to work with, they're just don't pay.
I had no knowledge of what was involved in getting money for recycling metal.The day before I brought a car load of metal to be recycled,I spoke to one of the owners of Kirby Metal Recycling and he quoted a price per pound that i would get from each type of metal on the list of items I presented him.(He even gave me a magnet to use to test the different materials.)I brought the items that were on my list and more, to the shop the next day.The items were weighed and put in their various categories and I was given a printout showing that I would only be paid half of what was quoted to me per pound in each category.I told the workers I was quoted something different.I felt I had no choice except to accept it.(My items had already been mixed in.)I asked to see the owner I had talked to.He wasn't in.The shop was closed the next day (Sunday).I called that Monday to explain my experience.I was told the owner wasn't in and would be in later.I went back to the shop to wait for him and saw him walk in and out of the office.I called the office from my car to see if they were giving me the run around.I was told he was still out of the office.I told them I was looking right at him going back and forth into the office and that he need to man up and talk to me face to face.Basically he called me a liar and I concluded it was a lesson learned about dealing with dishonest business men (shysters).
