This company has the best recycled batteries in the business! I have been an ASE Certified Mechanic for over 20 years. I bought an EV battery online from a company that didn't even check to see if the battery was charged up, before they shipped it to me, two weeks ago. The battery arrived 7 days late and once I installed the battery it was in worse shape than the original battery. GenTech Ev & Hybrid is an excellent company if you are looking for quality and professional Technicians who actually double checks the battery they recycle on site. Fantastic service, had an emergency where my cars hybrid battery was on its last leg. Was initially worried it wouldnt be serviced same day but was very happy that the team made time in their schedule to fix my car in less than 2 hours.

Everyone was very responsive and helpful. Dr. Prius says it's at 90% after I installed it. $1,000 for a 90% refurbished battery is SO much better than a 100% new.

I've used these guys several times, I pick up cheap cars with bad batteries. Service is always great. Yesterday's was the best yet as they even did things they didn't need to like see why my trunk wasn't closing. I really appreciate that because I'm driving 200 miles tomorrow.

Jay from Greetec came over and did a clean and professional job. He was courteous and a specialist with deep domain knowledge. He explained the various steps being done and kept me abreast of the work being done. Have not had any issues so far. Incidentally, unlike some of their competition, they pick up their phone when you call them with any issues. Would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Highly recommend! Saved me about three thousand dollars. I drive a 2014 Toyota Avalon hybrid and needed my battery replaced. The Toyota dealership quoted me fifty-three hundred dollars. Today, I had an eleven AM appointment, and in about thirty minutes, the battery was replaced and done. Paul did a great job, also did a diagnostics test for my vehicle!

The communication was good with sales Rep prior to installation of HV battery. Had to reach out for updates but figured the battery was not delivered yet. Repair took 1 month from diagnostic testing to battery installation. Overall, I am satisfied with how the vehicle runs so far. I would recommend their battery replacement service. Ask for Paul.

I spoke with Phil at GreenTec in 2018 and had him replace my hybrid battery on a 2006 Honda Civic, since then the vehicle spent 4 years in Ohio with my daughter with no issues. The vehicle is back in Maryland, unfortunately it developed a transmission issue and led to it being parked in the garage from 2022 to 2025. The Transmission was replaced early May 2025, and the car started right up with the hybrid battery still kicking. I was so exited that I decided to come back to Green Tech Auto’s website to leave this review. I am truly impressed at their handy work. A great team of techs. Thanks a lot!!!

Unique service with major discounts on electric batteries for my Prius, responsive to the urgency of needing the auto, they came to me to replace the battery at a fair price, replacement took under an hour. The total price was half of what I was quoted by my mechanic, with a refurbished battery.

Last fall, I purchased a replacement battery for my wife's 2013 Lexus 450h hybrid SUV. Last week, I was back to purchase a battery for my daughter's 2008 Ford Escape hybrid SUV. I can only say good things about Greentec's replacement hybrid batteries and about the service at their Bowie, Maryland, shop. I was in and out in about a half hour. The new batteries allow both cars to go farther and faster under all-electric power, and the gas mileage has improved by one or two miles per gallon. Count me a very satisfied customer.

DARCARS quoted us an arm and a leg to replace our 2007 Prius' hybrid battery. Greentec's price was far more reasonable, and they performed the diagnostics and the battery replacement in just over an hour while I read in the lobby. It's still running happily a month later. Also, I saw them tell another customer (after the free diagnosis) that his car didn't need a battery replacement, and they sent him home with no fee. That's a terrific way to run a business, and I'm happy to recommend Greentec!

Greentec installed a rebuilt battery in my 2012, the less expensive option with a shorter warranty. I am very satisfied. The car, which has 185,000 miles on it, performs like new and the range on a warm day can be as much as 40 miles.

After driving our Escape Hybrid for over 280,000 miles, a dealership recommended we sell it since a new battery from them would just about equal the value of the car. An online search took me to Greentec Auto in Bowie, MD. The new battery arrived in about a week. The install took about an hour and a half. Installer very professional. I would recommend this to anyone. A lot less expensive than a new car payment and the increase in insurance premiums. We are very satisfied.

2004 Prius, original owner -- 20-years and 150k miles on the factory battery ... Reasonable price from Greentec for a replacement battery with all new cells, very quick installation with zero problems. Car runs fine and is back to averaging 50mpg.

Easy to talk to, polite, explained and answered all our questions. After a BAD experience initially dealing with a different Li-Ion battery replacement company, we opted to go with GreenTec in Bowie. We judged a good value. Our 2005 Prius had been the least troublesome car we had ever owned, right up to when the main battery pack failed... Now, it drives like a new car. On to the 300K mile mark !

We had our Prius serviced here recently. It refused to engage gas engine without detailed battery codes. Paul did a diagnosis and found out our cat converter was stolen and O2 sensor was removed. He refused to charge us anything, and suggested we get a new cat converter installed at a different establishment as Greentec doesn't do those. We towed it to another shop where they attached a new converter. The car still refused to start, and the other mechanics were absolutely sure that it was the hybrid battery. Paul asked us to bring it back and found out it was just another blown relay fuse. When he replaced it - our car finally came back to life. He still refused to charge us anything - not even for his time! It is great that Greentec has an amazing free diagnosis policy, and even more incredible that they have employees like Paul that go above and beyond to help customers. If you have a hybrid car trouble - don't think twice - just take it directly to Greentec.

My Toyota Camry Hybrid battery recently died after 16 years! After looking at new cars for a week or so, I decided to replace the battery and take my time finding my next new car. I found Greentec online and called to discuss. They were very good at explaining exactly how the procedure would go. They arrived at my home and installed my new hybrid battery. I am very pleased with all the people I had contact with and the installer was very thorough and did not rush the job. I saved approx $1,300 from what the dealer quoted, and the warranty is 2 years longer. Win, win. I highly recommend Greentec.

I can’t say enough about Phil and Greentec. My teenage son saved up for a car and within a couple years the hybrid battery died. The dealer wanted more than the price he paid for the car ($12,000.00) which only had 100k miles. Phil at Greentec did it for a fraction of the price and its guaranteed for 3 years. Could not have been more pleased with every aspect of my experience, from making the appointment to the actual service. The team there was very professional and took their time discussing my situation, including giving me tips on future maintenance unrelated to the battery. They have a clean, well organized shop and clearly know what they are doing. FYI, I have a 2007 Prius and elected to get a new battery rather than refurbished. Four year warranty, which is transferable if I sell, which I won’t do because I love my car! Photo is my mileage on the way back home on a mildly congested freeway. Not bad!

Don't hesitate to trust your hybrid battery replacement to these guys. My college-age son purchased a used 1st gen hybrid Civic (the wisdom of that is for another discussion). The battery began to fail last fall, Greentec went on-site at his university and did the replacement, so far so good. Six months later, the engine light is on and a diagnostic says it's the battery. Greentec unhesitatingly shows up at our home to honor the warranty and replace the battery at their expense but more dashboard lights are on. They can't do a complete analysis on the road and recommend we have the car towed to their shop (over an hour away) or see if someone local can take a look. We take it to the local Honda dealer who throw up their hands and say the battery doesn't match their part number and the replacement power management system they tried didn't fix it. Their implied message is to pay them for another battery and trust that it will work. My son already has $2K invested and now Honda says it's not their fault but you can pay us. We bite the bullet and have the car towed to Greentec where they do the full diagnostic and try a new power management system and lo and behold, everything works like new and all the dashboard lights are out. I've seen some reviews that say that you can't trust these guys and they're difficult to work with but if you are patient and ask them to explain difficult terminology and are willing to trust their expertise you will find that they are really working in your best interest. I can't say enough for everyone we talked to there with a special shout of appreciation to Phil at Bowie, MD who patiently walked us through the process and options even when things got a little tense. I wouldn't hesitate to give them my business again.
