If you are looking for batteries at a reasonable cost, this is the place to go. I ordered my batteries online and picked them up the next day - Unfortunately I didn't get their names, but from the woman at the front to the gentleman on the phone (and in person) and the gentleman that lifted the extremely heavy batteries were very pleasant and helpful - Highly recommend!
The website makes it seem as though you can buy a battery and someone will be available to install it for free. This is not accurate.
I picked up the battery, the woman was very nice, but there was no one there who could install it for me, and she said that even if someone had been there, installation is not free, and cash is expected.
I had a fantastic experience at the Batteries Plus in Bowie getting my cracked screen repaired. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by Holland, who was incredibly professional and had me checked in immediately. Another associate (whose name I didn't catch) was also very kind and made sure to welcome me as well. Since I had some time to kill while they worked on the device, I walked over to the nearby Walmart to pass the time. I was thrilled when I returned less than an hour later and found my phone was already finished! The associate who handled the actual repair was just as pleasant, greeting me warmly and wishing me a great day as I left. All three of these associates deserve all the awards for their outstanding professionalism and kindness. Thank you, Batteries Plus, for the quick and seamless service!
I bought this battery in 2/2025 install 2 weeks after i made sure it was charge. Took the bike for a ride about 45mins into the ride the bike cut off. I had it towed back home. A cost to me $225.00 I was 38 miles away from home. Check the battery gauge on it showed red. I check me charging system. It check out ok. Took the battery back to battery-plus. They said it need to be charge - they change it fee 20.00. Install the battery back. My 2nd ride out with the green battery from them. 35 miles into the ride it cut off again Man. I had the bike towed to the cycle shop they check it out and found the battery going bad. Would not hold a 13.2 t0 14.5 of charging. Slowly charge would go down to below 6.5. after about 20 mins. With 14.5 volts going into it. They check my charge system side it was ok and install the black battery you see in the picture from them. Never had any more problems 242 miles on the new battery, I took the battery back they check it out. Said nothing wrong with it.. Would not exchange it or give my money back. $129 battery... This was a very costly experience service shop total with battery $216 + $225 + $20 + $129.00 = $590.00. Stuck with battery I can't use. 3 years warranty. I have bought a few battery from batteries plus from the shop in Kettering MD they was closed 1st time in the bowie shop. The battery with 12v on it is batteries plus. I had in another bike. This battery works ok to in the bike. This is what the shop told me who check the bike - The battery must hold approx 13.2 volts . If the battery is less than 12.8 volts it is either on the way out or defective . When the motor is running the voltage should be approx 14.2 volts when revving .
Peter and Dee took excellent care of my senior Dad. He left there very happy and told me to tell everyone I know who needs any kind of battery to come here. I don't know yall but come support this small business.
I went to batteries plus last spring and never got around to writing a review, but want to take the time out to shout out the store owners Peter and his wife. I was trying to get in and out before work to get a spare key before work which they were able to do, for a price that was affordable in comparison to other places I had been quoted at. While we we're waiting his wife was very hospitable, and we chatted a bit while the service was completed. I also mentioned my key fob wasn't working which I had been meaning to get looked at. He was able to quickly check it out and see that the chip or whatever was inside (i'm not a car person) was slightly dislodged. He quickly fixed it and I was able to leave in time in work with a brand new spare key and working key fob! Appreciate the fast and efficient service, and would visit again!
If I could give zero stars I would. I purchased a vehicle battery on 12/6/24. On 12/13/24 I came out of the store but couldn't leave because the battery was dead. On 12/26/24 my vehicle died in the middle lane of a highway during rush hour. Again all of this was due to the "new" battery I purchased. I went to see the owner on both occasions but he offered no solution and will not honor my warranty. I am having to spend mounds of money to correct the damage that's been done to my vehicle due to the installers lack of knowledge. In addition to having to take Ubers and rent vehicles. Please if you want your vehicle to remain in good working order DO NOT patronize this place! Just horrible.
Items were in stock. The lady that answered the phone and assisted me, was on of the most pleasant and helpful people i have ever talked with. She really made may day!
So pleased to have a Battery Plus store nearby. Although certainly attentive, I did not feel 100% welcome. I found the items pricey, but, wishing to support his local business, I bought six UPS batteries from Peter. No discount was offered. Second visit managed to persuade (another) salesperson that charging me extra for a pair of adaptors one purchased battery was probably not a good idea... Third visit to exchange the adaptors and buy another battery. 'Being grateful to exchange the contacts for the right ones, I encouraged another elderly customer to go ahead of me and witnessed a much warmer welcome, followed by an immediate and unsolicited offer of a 10% discount to him for his minor purchase! Then, after a short discussion he said he could not identify the battery I needed from UPS model and cell pictures I had with me. I later found it in seconds on my phone, so a sale was lost. To be honest I was left the impression that he did not like the look of me..
Peter and Co. were fantastic to work with and saved us big-time when our golf cart batteries died and important guests coming that day. Even texted me from his personal cell when I needed to send pics. Within 90 minutes I was back up and running thanks to them saving the day!
I can't say enough good things here, and will happily go out of my way to visit them next time I'm in need!

I recently purchased a Duracell battery for my Honda. Batteries Plus was the only store that carried the battery that was rated highest by Consumer Reports. I was able to order it online and arrange for free installation. It was ready when I arrived and installed quickly.
I was greeted walking into the store by the owner. He knew exactly the product I needed, got it for me, made sure I had everything I needed. Turned out I needed a connector. The stored didn't have it but the owner checked his system, told me it was on order and offered to call me when the parts came in. The parts arrived within hours. It was a very professional experience with emphasis on helping customers. The store itself is clean, organized, well stocked and they have great jazz on the sound system. The name says it all--Batteries Plus. They offer repairs on phones and more. This is a local business I am very pleased to support with my business. Check them out. I think you'll agree.
What a pleasant experience! They had what I needed when the two "auto store" places would have to order it. The staff was helpful, pleasant and the price was as low as any around. I'll definitely know where to go the next time! Thanks for the great customer service.
I was referred to Batteries Plus Bulbs through SquareTrade/Allstate for a screen repair (cracked screen) for my phone. The original location I was supposed to go to in Upper Marlboro doesn't use genuine Samsung parts, therefore, I contacted the Bowie location. The gentleman at the location checked to make sure they had the part in stock before I came to the location. Once I arrived, I was immediately serviced and everything was explained to me. The store was cleanly and the staff was professional and friendly. I was told my phone would be ready in an hour and it was. My phone was fixed and looks brand new. Everyone, please check out this location and support it.
Fast service, knowledgeable about what is needed and best if all the price is $12.50 for all watch batteries and I believe cameras as well. I will recommend them to everyone I know.
