Nestor (the owner) probably saved me $1000+ in the long run with my Infiniti Q50! I had a very complicated issue that we thought was computer / electrical related & his years of expertise solved the issue much faster than I was originally thinking. Ultimately my car’s computer wouldve been fried in the next few weeks if it wasn’t for him. Definitely recommend Nestor & Mustache Mechanics for all of your car’s maintenance! Top quality work!!

I usually don’t write reviews unless the service is exceptionally good or it’s really bad. Mustache Mechanics is definitely worth my time to show my appreciation for their excellent service and dedication. The catalytic converter on my old Prius got stolen right on my driveway last Friday. I just moved the area so didn’t know any mechanics. A friend referred Mustache Mechanics to me. I am not in the best shape financially with three children. Nestor and his team went above and beyond to help me find solutions and alternatives. Nestor is very professional and knowledgeable. He and his team followed through and made sure my car didn’t have other issues before pick-up. His price is very competitive and he only charges what is necessary. I highly recommend Mustache Mechanics and they have my business for life!

Nestor is an honest mechanic. He explains clearly and directly what is going on with your vehicle. No gimmicks or upsales. He’s straight up and genuinely cares about his work. My Kia had the P1326 issue, and he provided me with documentation to bring to Herson’s Kia Dealership, showing my eligibility for a free engine replacement. The man helped saved me over $8k! I’m a lifelong client.

Always great customer service! I specifically appreciate the detailed estimates provided via text which the customer approves to authorize the work. In a few of my experiences, I’ve been advised to NOT sink money into various repairs which is sincerely appreciated as most mechanics are more than willing to tack on any and all items to boost the bill. Nestor is a phenomenal mechanics and that means a lot coming from a daughter of a mechanic. He is honest, trustworthy and very knowledgeable. I always recommend his work. I’ve been coming here 5 years and 3 cars later, I’m still a happy client.

** WARNING - Long review** We were regular customers but within the past year they have cost us over 3k in repairs through 1) over charging us and 2) negligent service leading to a second mechanic having to fix the problem. In June 2023 we brought our Mazda CX-5 in to have the rotors looked at since the car was shaking when using the brakes. At the cost of over $2k we had- Front and Rear Brakes and Rotors replaced, calipers serviced, four new tires bought and balanced, and an oil change (for over $100 mind you). We also brought our car in a second time in June because the parking brake was sporadically sticking and would not release when trying to go into reverse. For this issue we were told the problem could not be replicated and things were fine. In September 2023 when the rear passenger tire starts smoking and smells like brakes, we again go to the mechanic. They replace the hydraulic hoses for the rear brakes for roughly $462. I ask why this was not done three months prior when we got all new brakes and was told "this is an issue we wouldn't have noticed before." I still question why the hoses were not inspected at the June visit (negligence in my opinion). Earlier this month (June 2024) we seek a new mechanic because our parking brake is still causing issues and we no longer trust Mustache Mechanics to do a thorough inspection. We take our car to Glen's Auto Service (recommended as a mechanic familiar with Mazdas) and within ten minutes a mechanic was aware of the issue at hand since he has seen it many times before. However, due to complete negligence and faulty labor on behalf of Mustache Mechanics we get this message: On your 2016 Mazda CX-5 the rear calipers were leaking brake fluid, some of the fluid leaked on to the parking brake actuators causing them to fail. Due to this failure the brake pads and rotors were very burned. To fix the vehicle we had to replace the rear brake rotors, pads, calipers, and the parking brake actuators. I have included with this email the Invoice for the repairs, the codes that were present on the vehicle, and pictures of the damaged parts. Thank you. We had to replace our brakes and rotors within one year of them being installed on our car. The mechanic at Glen's was aghast at the condition of the car and said, "I cannot believe the brakes didn't lock up on you while driving." He also pointed out that our tires had been balanced in six locations. Not four, but six. I would like to point out that up until last spring and summer we didn't have a bad experience with Mustache Mechanics. But I can say with absolute confidence that they will never get my business again. Photos are of the busted rear brake pads and rotors that were on my car only a year before needing to be replaced.

I had a great experience at Mustache Mechanics. After a year of delaying getting a new a/c compressor-i came here. I had gathered other quotes and this one was the best, i got my a/c fixed, tires rotated and an oil change for less than any of the other quotes. I often get taken advantage of at car shops because i am a young girl, not here! The staff is amazing and answers promptly. Thank you i will be back!

Mustache mechanics deserves my highest appreciation. Over the years I took my old and new cars there and it was always great experience. I believe in creativity when it comes to old cars and honesty when it comes to new ones, and I just can't say enough how Mustache have always been there to solve my problems at a minimal costs keep high quality work (I always get at least 3 quotes). Shout out to Mustache Mechanics Auto Repair for a stellar job. They diagnosed an electrical issue wreaking havoc on my car's system that three other shops missed. They were thorough, fast, and above all great with their communication over text, email, and phone. They get my highest recommendation.

I had a fantastic experience at Mustache Mechanics. I used to take my Honda to the dealer for service, but that ends today. Nestor and team were thorough, professional, and timely. Their quote and approval communication via text and email was a dream- transparent and easy-to-use. Their overall manner and customer service was warm and honest, and I highly recommend this local shop. Great.

I took a 10+ year old SUV with 200k plus miles to them because my car was shaking, throwing a check engine light, and it would have failed inspection. They fixed it the same day and charged me a fair price. I also told them that I was eager to learn how to do my own repairs, and they gave me tips on parts that were knockoff brands that needed fixing sooner than later, and I was aware of the knock off brand parts, but wasn't aware that they were prone to failing. Anyway, around 3 months my car started giving a blinking check engine light, I replaced the part they had recommended with genuine Ford, and the problem went away. The fair price plus their free tip on a DIY that I could do on my own makes me trust to return to them again for something I can't do on my own. In short, Mustache Mechanics is my go to place for car help.

We traveled down to Maryland from Michigan for a lacrosse tournament. Our front brake pads wore out on the way down and were metal on metal scraping by Friday night. I woke up Saturday morning to try to find a place to get brake work done and a few calls lead me to a referral to the Mustache Mechanics. They said they would be able to squeeze my car into a busy schedule on a Saturday morning. I dropped the car off, they were SO nice and welcoming! I walked around the corner to have breakfast and an hour later, they had ordered, received, and replaced my front rotors and pads. Wow! What service! Thank you so much for the friendly service and getting me and my family safely back on the road to finish our weekend and get back to Michigan! Recommend 100%

I have used Mustache Mechanics for a couple years now for multiple cars and they are awesome, very fair price, super convenient, and they text (very responsive). Oil, brakes, new clutch, and AC, and it was all great and extremely professional. On one occasion, I had a scraping sound on my wheel and an employee tweaked it and it stopped. He explained to me that it would cost thousands of dollars to get replaced but that it was completely unnecessary and not to let anybody talk me into replacing it. It saved me tons of money and was a wonderful example of their integrity and professionalism. I also have a very old and complicated car. There were all sorts of electrical issues after the car battery died. Two other mechanics told me I would need to pay $2500 (and wait 5 months to get the part). The owner of Mustache took the time to research the issue for me and found a service that reprogramed the part verses replace it which cost me only $250 and he didn't make any money off of it. He will go above and beyond for his customers.

Nestor and his team at Mustache Mechanics are top notch. I also greatly respect and honor Nestor as a military veteran, where he served as an Airborne mechanic. All to say that he has a lot of experience and a great matter-of-fact personality with a good sense of humor. As many others have posted, I find him to be very honest and trustworthy in his work as well as his estimates and final costs. He doesn't do unnecessary work, and always asks for the customer's agreement before beginning work. Just yesterday, the front axel on my 2003 Honda (nearly 200K miles) suddenly broke in half. I called Nestor, and he took me in right away on an emergency basis, immediately ordered the needed parts, and fixed it the same day.....incredible!!! I've been going to Nestor for the last three years and would highly recommend him for your auto repair needs!!!

I have been going to Mustache Mechanics for roughly 5 years, I actually found them while looking to purchase a vehicle from them. Besides vehicle maintenance, they also have a little side business selling cars. While looking for that vehicle purchase, I met the owner/head mechanic Nestor. Nestor is a pretty straight forward guy, and a person who I trust implicitly. His prices are very fair, he does not try to upsell you on services you don't really need. I trust him, so much that now my whole family uses Nestor for work on their vehicles. Heck even my 2 sons are now referring their friends to Nestor and his Mustache Mechanics. You can't really go wrong by using Mustache Mechanics for your Vehicle care and maintenance needs.

Nestor and his mechanics are absolutely top-notch. I brought my 2011 Escape with 200k miles on it in for an inspection. They carefully looked it over and pointed out in person the few things it needed in order to pass. Finding a good and trustworthy mechanic is hard, so their willingness to explain and show me everything was very appreciated. The work was then completed on time and at an incredibly fair price. Couldn't be happier!

Had a great first time experience. Was looking for a place within walking distance of my home for a check engine light. Nestor explained in full detail the issue and charged a fair price for the repairs. I also really like his digital communication system. Instead of waiting for a phone call, he sends the quote and updates via text and email, and I can approve the quote via the app. It allowed for him to get started on the project and get the car back to me same day. He is also a hands on owner that will get involved in the repair work. Great shop to take your car. Thank you Nestor.

I bought a car in VA but live in MD and needed a safety inspection within 5 days of purchase. I got a list of inspection stations and Mustache not only provided the service on Saturdays (most did not) but their price was very competitive! Nestor took great care of me/my car, the service was done on time, and they have invested in an online service to send you an invoice/notification the car is ready via email or text which was very convenient. Highly recommend!

I dropped my car off for an oil change and state inspection (just moved from out of state). Nestor was incredibly friendly, had the work done in under 2 hours, and charged a very fair price (I called around to several places and this was the cheapest). I highly recommend going here, and will definitely got back for any future service needed.

The shop owner, Nestor has been my family and friend auto mechanic for the past 5 years. He repairs all makes and sizes of cars with care and precision, especially those jobs related with electrical and peculiar problems. Nestor is an honest and trustful mechanic with excellent knowledge and skills. He has saved me a lot time, money, and frustration by servicing my cars. I rate him a solid 4.5 Stars. I would give him a perfect 5 stars rating but he is too busy and not always available. He is busy because he is excellent.

For years I had been going to my Honda dealership for service and always felt I had been ripped off. I have a 2003 Honda Accord. The springs on the doors needed replacement. Nestor installed new springs, and now the doors don't hit me in the shins whenever I open them. His professionalism and advice are exceptional. His price for my job was at least $250 less than what the Honda dealership wanted to charge me. I will never go back to the dealership for service. I'm with Nestor until my car finally dies! He's the best!
