Love this GW so much, one of the best Goodwills out there and the nicest staff! Shout out to the assistant manager Alicia… she is incredible and such an asset to the store. Always smiling, friendly, goes the extra mile to be helpful and just creates the best experience for all of us that shop there. My friends and I seriously talk about how great she is. Wanted you to know about her and I wish I knew some of the others’ names too. Alicia at the counter is so sweet too. Very grateful for this wonderful GW so close to my house!

Prices are ridiculous. I rarely leave a store with nothing but I did today. $8 for used glass jars??? $13 used purses??? Meanwhile staff were collecting items that had been on shelves too long and throwing them out. Unacceptable. A few dollars lower and half of it would have been in my cart!

I was actually surprised that they were taking donations today, and I'm like well since I'm here, it could save me a trip to Savers. The man in the donation center clearly did not like his job, first thing he sees in my trunk is storage bags and he says, "I can't take those." Ok I guess. So I say everything in the trunk, and I feel like it takes forever for him to take a vacuum and some baskets. Then I stand there awkwardly like Should I wait for my coupon? When he comes back I ask for it and he give it to me begrudgingly. I could tell this man clearly does not like his job. At least at Savers they greet you and give you your coupon before they unload your vehicle. It seems like at every Goodwill they don't want donations? I have never been turned away at Savers on Joppa Road.

I use the donation center often. you have to drive around back and they recently updated their hours Monday to Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM and then Sunday 11 AM to 5 PM. The workers are nice. They help you unload your car they give you the receipt. I’ve also walked through the store once to look at the goods, worth checking out form time to time

I’ve been shopping at this Goodwill for about 15 years and have watched it slowly go downhill…until yesterday. I scored a GORGEOUS, (and nearly complete set) of perfect vintage Meissen China for my daughter, from the bottom of a cart, on senior discount day! Alicia K made it an even better trip. This sweet, fresh-faced, and always smiling young lady not only found two sturdy boxes for me, but helped me wrap each dish…and then went in the back to double-check, and found the sugar bowl for me! It’s not the first time seeing her interact with customers in a very positive way, either, and I hope this is a sign this location is turning around since the manager (named Dan, I believe), left years ago. Since then, the prices have become ridiculous, everything decent gets put online, and the store is generally a mess. I’m a retail manager, and great customer service is very hard to find. I strongly suggest you promote Alicia K ASAP…or I will!

This Goodwill is just terrific - great prices on great furniture and housewares and an amazing staff that is super helpful, friendly, patient and kind. I moved to the area about a year ago making a new start and have found chairs, kitchen counter stools, plates, tables, dresser, benches and more at prices that worked on my very tight budget and that have made my new place really feel like home. They also keep updating and streamlining layout which makes it better and easier to see all the cool stuff they’ve got. Today was the latest great find and I want to give a special shout out to Alicia and Guy (you rock - thanks for overthinking for me!) who helped me with a coffee table, from confirming price to loading it in my car for a safe transport home. My biggest high fives and thanks to this awesome team for all you do!

I love this Goodwill, the staff, and especially Alicia. I have found some amazing items, especially to resell. Surprised at what was being sold, and literally found several needed office tools, useful car accessories, and the obvious value to make some resale extra cash online. Alicia was attentive and quick to assist.

Goodwill Padonia Road was a pleasant adventure! The staff is friendly; helpful; competent…knowledgeable. I was able to find EXACTLY what I needed; and more!

Nice place to get a lot of good stuff last time I was here I got a lot of books and I've been coming to this Goodwill for a while and I like donating a lot of stuff that I don't use or that don't fit me here.

I get it, inflation.. but the prices here have gone crazy in the last year. 80 bucks for a bluetooth speaker??? Old floor/bookshelf speakers $40 each with destroyed/blown speaker cones? Come on... Thats even if you can find something decent as entitled rich people love coming here buying up everything worth anything. Otherwise the staff is awesome and THEY SHOULD BE BETTER COMPENSATED. (never thought I'd see the day I can't afford to shop here anymore lol) Oh, did I mention that the shopgoodwill auction site is full of shill bidding from their own bot accounts? This is one profitable non-profit as far as the ceo is concerned

On November 15, I visited a Goodwill store to find a tie for my husband. Among the clutter, I found a Burberry tie priced at $3. Recognizing it was likely counterfeit, I proceeded to checkout. However, the cashier refused to sell it, claiming the item was mistakenly placed on sale. I feel unfairly treated, as the item was priced and ostensibly available. I suspect my accent or the cashier's personal interest may have influenced this decision.

Apparently they stopped taking donations at 4:00 even though they're open until 7:00. That wouldn't really be the major problem, but there's still people out back with all of the donations and the door is open. A guy came out clearly sorting donations, and refused to take even two bags that I had. Once again, not even the biggest problem but was extremely rude and walked away from me as I was trying to ask a question. Would not recommend

This store has amazing clothes but it's a mess and you can't access the dressing rooms. This is THE ONLY Goodwill like that. We stopped at every one of them while traveling, so I know. It needs a new Manager who cares.

Worst donation experience ever. I wrapped up work early, organized items to donate, rushed through traffic and arrived at exactly 4:01 PM, to have the guy in charge of donations yell at me and glare at me as if he’s ready to start a fight. I hadn’t even gotten out of my car. I would say that this is horrible customer service, but I’m not a customer! I am one of the people who donate their time and possessions to an organization that relies on us to operate. We’re doing Goodwill a favor, and they treat people with animosity and contempt. It is ridiculous that they rely on the generosity of others to survive, but treat people this way. If they can’t accept donations after the magic hour of 4:00, they could at least be respectful and courteous (or offer hours that are reasonable). The worst part is that it has happened more than once with the same guy. I have donated A LOT of things to Goodwill over the years - nice clothes, furniture, books, toys - some of which were brand new. Never again. I’ll find somewhere else to donate. Note to Goodwill - either train your employees in basic human decency or find people who are more considerate. Some of the guys who work at the donation area have been very nice and friendly, but not everyone.

This was my first (and probably only) visit to this particular Goodwill.. 𝙲𝚕𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 - there was not exactly very much of a selection (hardly at all) to really choose from. On top not having much of a selection, and even though there were "size labels/sections", with what little they DID have, almost NONE of it was in the correct size placement. I picked up at least 10 different tops that were in the XL and XXL sized sections (womens), and was finding that they were either 𝚂𝙼𝙰𝙻𝙻, or were 𝙴𝚇𝚃𝚁𝙰 𝚂𝙼𝙰𝙻𝙻!!! But...the employees were SUPER nice/friendly!!!!!!

I arrived at the store Monday at 10:10 am but the door is closed. There were 4 people waiting outside, the staff also outstide chatting on the phone. Minutes later she unlocked the door but lock it again so no one can get in. 20 min later after I came back from nearby, the door was still locked and there were 6 people wating outside for the store to open, 6 new people not the previous 4. It was 10:28 and one of the waiting customer called in and was told there would be at least another half hour until the store opens. So the business hour Mon- Fri 10-19 was just a sign, but the real business hour depends on the mood of the staff?
Jun 03, 2024 -
Very keen to adhere strictly to their work hours when it comes to taking donations. Come 4 pm, they no longer want the freebies they live off of. Seems there’s been too much generosity towards the place. There are many other outfits that would come to your house to get free goods. Least tell you it’s past 4 pm and they’re closed.

Did Goodwill forget that these items are DONATED!!? And mostly USED ITEMS? I went in there last week and I was blown away by the absolutely absurd prices on all items! I was so shocked and dissapointed!!! WHO IS PRICING THESE ITEMS!?? Seriously though !!?? Just a small example...I found 2 items from the DOLLAR TREE...one was priced $1.50 (a bag of very small rocks that fit in the palm of your hand). The other was a small drinking glass for $2.00..you can buy these items BRAND NEW at the Dollar Tree at a price of $1.25!! I so wish I took photos. I do not recall the prices on clothes and shoes but they seemed outragious to me as well. I used to love this place!! I do not believe in donations being priced at or more than what was regular price of the item initially.

Not a good experience at the cash register desk. With the clerk's permission, I set aside eight matching crystal glasses on the counter, next to a register. When I was ready to pay, the clerk told me I needed to move all eight matching glasses to his register. OK - three trips back and forth as he is stood at the register. He could have helped; he chose not to, but stood there and waited for me. He rang up the order by listing one glass then hit the register key eight times. Question is could he have lifted one glass five feet and placed it back where I had it? I paid with my credit card. Then, he stood there motionless. I asked him if he was going to wrap the glasses in newspaper, or should I. No response. He reached for the newspaper under the desk after I asked him to, then I had to move the glasses back to the original location to wrap each glass. I then had to ask him for a bag. The bottom line here is he could have been helpful to me. No help. I enjoy shopping and will continue to do so. If I see him again, he will have a better attitude, or I will say something about it directly to him calmly.

Wow. This use to be my go to Goodwill. In the past 2 weeks the prices have tripled. Junky brands for 12 to 15 dollars dirty and damaged. Every Coat Jacket and Vest no matter the brand or size started at 25 and went up from there. Racks were empty of anything name brand. The staff has changed as well. Use to have the nicest ladies working there, now the worst employees. Waste of time and effort to make the 40 minute drive.

I don't mind being asked if I'd like to round up my total for whatever charitable thing it supports. I usually don't mind saying "yes" and rounding up. I DO mind the cashier taking the liberty of rounding my total up to the next dollar without asking me; especially when I'm only buying one thing for a few dollars. I don't know if they have some kind of quota system that incentives this kind of dishonesty or not, but I will no longer be rounding up in the future, and I will be avoiding this location entirely.

Just found out Goodwill prices are more expensive now, so instead of go shopping there once a week, I may go there once or twice a year since there is no fun to get something I like at a cheap price any more. I am sure Goodwill will lose business. People go there to get cheap stuffs. When there is nothing cheap, they just stop shopping there. The employees are very nice and friendly. I definitely will miss the old days.

This place got sooo expensive. Sleep tops for $20. Basic shirts for $10. I’ve never seen prices this high. Multiple customers were talking to each other or the cashiers about this. Plus I was in line when a customer had a $2 item with a price tag that wouldn’t scan. Instead of having a simple quick solution the cashier had to call the manager which took a few minutes when there was already a long line and only one cashier. I’ve stopped donating to Goodwill and I guess this location is out for buying things from. I’ve had better luck recently at more consignment type shops.

Prices were VERY high for a goodwill. Most shirts, including stuff like tank tops, were $5 and up. Dishes, like dinnerware sets were all marked individually around $1.50 to even $6. All the frames and wall art were above $10, even for homemade stuff. I assume with thrift stores, the higher the prices, the more staff. But doesn’t seem to be the case here. There was only one worker during my visit. Assuming because of low staff, none of the clothing was organized by size or color. The plus size clothing was only under the general XL label. So looking at pants, for instance, everything above a women’s size 10 was mixed in the same section. I totally get it’s a thrift store, it’s not going to be perfectly organized. But for a store where all it’s merchandise is freely donated, they need to add some staff to justify those high prices.

First time here, I was taken back by how cluttered this store was, items were placed all over the place, disorganized, and the back room has stuff on top of each other.

This Good Will location is my go to. I always find something to buy whether it's clothing, toys, books, furniture, etc... They people who work there are helpful as well. I've never had any problems coming here. Plenty of parking and this particular locationis pretty bug compared to the others I've been to in MD. Definitely check them out.

Horrible customer service!! I have never left a review in my life but felt compelled to leave one now. I am a true fan of every goodwill and never speak ill will of any of them despite contents, cleanliness or price. They provide a wonderful service to the community and I spend thousands in the stores annually. However this evening was an exception. The cashier this evening 4/19/18 at 7:49 pm (rep ID C1086) was the most rude excuse of a human being that I have ever encountered. A simple question asking her if an item located on the counter by the cash register was for sale caused her to snap. This nasty rude person threw accusations towards me that verged on defamation. Her attitude during my entire check out consisted of daggers of verbal abuse followed by condescending looks. I refuse to go into that store again.

They definitely have great sales on the last Sat of the month with 50%off everything except new and Target stuff. However, today is the sale and there is 1 register open. The line is 15 people long and the manager refuses to open one more register. There 3 on any other day. Seems to me like she's discouraging people from shopping here as I've seen many walk out. This isn't the 1st time I have questioned this particular managers decisions. The 2 men who manage this store are wonderful. All in all it's worth stopping at but the Fells Point location blows this place away.
