Took my car there several times just to simply fix a tire that kept losing air. Everytime they told me it was fixed and charged way too much for, what I considered, doing nothing. Never again.

I've been taking my Accord to Ridgely Auto for a few years now. I'm glad it was recommended to me by a coworker! Their prices are reasonable/fair, and their work is honest. Trust is important in any line of work. I would recommend them to anyone I know who is having a car issue!

I have always had a great experience with Joe and his business. Since moving from PA to MD, I’ve gone through three cars, and finding a reliable, honest mechanic wasn’t easy. But I found one here! Joe has always been polite, professional, and transparent, providing me with all available options before proceeding with any work. From routine oil changes to major repairs like engine block replacement, their work has been consistently excellent. My car runs smoothly without issues, and their pricing is very reasonable. No professionalism, hung up the phone as I was in the middle of explaining my issue. Edit (Reply to merchant): Clearly you know nothing about the call. There was no mention of janitorial services nor was i selling anything to you. I literally have a cat as my pfp, in what way does that tell you about a professional business? As you stated, “This is an auto repair shop” i called for a REPAIR issue but your employees did not have the courtesy of even hearing me out. Also, I only called once, and judging by this reply, this is all i need to know to not inquire with you guys ever again. Have a good day.

Joe has been servicing the Acura and the two Hondas in the family for many years. I have known many auto mechanics over the past 50 years (I usually drive more than 30,000 miles per year in the Baltimore Annapolis Washington DC region), Joe is one of the best mechanics I have ever known.

Kind, honest, helpful and good at translating mechanic to non-mechanic speak. I have used this location for different cars over the past 10 years and still think they are great humans.

I've know Joe the owner for many years. He is very honest and they do good work for a fair price. You can't go wrong when you go to Joe for all your auto repair needs.

Really appreciate the quick service to replace a sideview mirror. Dealership wanted $1,100. Amazon had the part for $100. Joe and team installed for $145. Very happy customer!!

Such a disappointment. I guess a good mechanic is one that hasn’t screwed you over…yet. Family has been loyal Ridgley customers for years. Took my car in for a new wheel bearing and he claims he couldn’t remove a sensor, so he just broke it instead of taking the time to do it right. Called me after the fact to pretend it was already broken, until he admitted he broke it. Demands I pay him an extra $350 to fix what he broke. It’s common for that sensor to get stuck, but every mechanic I spoke with was shocked how Joe played this. If he couldn’t do the job right, he should’ve stopped instead of damaging it to the point the car wasn’t safe to drive anymore. The audacity to return a customer’s car in worse shape then when you dropped it off, then demand the customer pay for his failure. To add insult to injury, I found a mechanic who fixed his mess for $70 less than Joe’s quote, which he wouldn’t budge on. So keep your wits about you, because unfortunately, it’s buyer beware at Ridgley.

Mr. Joe fixed my car, which I use for business, so fast I wasn't expecting it. The price was very fair and he eventually told me that he could've done partial work which would've put me on the road cheaper upfront, yet dangerous in the long run. I trust him.

This is my spot! Joe runs a great automotive shop. He is responsive, fair, hard working, and knowledgeable. I have been going here for years for oil changes, auto work, and check ups. Joe always takes good care of me. One time, I went in for oil change and to get a quote for brake pads. He called told me the quote and I said I’ll hold off and do it next time. I come to get my car, and his guys mistakenly put the brakes on anyway. Joe was apologetic and said the brakes are mine without charge. This speaks to the wonderful guy Joe is and how his shop will do what it takes to take care of you and your vehicle.

Joe is honest and easy to talk with about any questions you have.

This shop is wonderful! Can not possibly say enough good things. Joe is awesome and honest. He doesn't try to upsell unnecessary fixes. He had even told me that I didn't need things I went in for!! I have seen him do that for others as well. Ridgeley Auto deserves more than 5 stars if I could give them!!

Went to get my engine light fixed. Told me that i had to change my o2 sensor. Charged me $300 for original O2 sensor. after getting it fixed the problem did not go away told me i had to change another O2 sensor and the original repair is still required(I had told him already my dealer changed that specific sensor already). I got frustrated with the wrong diagnosis $50 and losing $300 as well. I did not go back to him. Days after I was cleaning my car and found the O2 sensor box under my car seat. Guess what he changed a after market sensor and charged me for OEM sensor. I went to him after seeing all the google reviews but it sounds like all of them may be fake reviews. Beware if you decide get parts replaced with this place, make sure they show you the receipt of the OEM part.

Joe is polite and a trustworthy mechanic his prices r a hair below the next guys shop. Take your car or truck there, you will be going back with a smile as a returning customer. My overall fav. Place

My son recommended Ridgely Auto Care Center after having some work done on his truck. They replaced the brakes and rotars front and back in my car and had the work done in an afternoon. The reception area was neat and clean and the owner took my information and I spoke with him when I paid. He explained the work his staff completed and was friendly and professional. He provided me with a written estimate for some future work and I have already scheduled that appointment.

They seemed very honest. Also the service was fast and prices were reasonable. I will go back next time my car needs a repair or service

Great place, fair prices and honest. I brought in my car for a new battery. It also had some other minor issues with it. I got all of them done but one or two. Only because I have one of the parts at my house (air filter--easy) and the other I just wanted to wait. Super nice employees too!

I've been going here for at least 8 years and 3 different cars and always have had the highest comfort in knowing you get what you need and it's done right. If it needs to be fixed, Joe will let you know before hand. No surprise costs. ASC certified which is always a good thing.

Joe was able to service my vehicle when no one local to my home address could. Joe and his team of staff are just simply amazing. Reasonably priced service, quick and thorough. My husband and I were VERY pleased.

I'm not from the area had an issue that looked like a straight forward potentially serious transmission fluid leak from a faulty hose. I took my car here and they diagnosed the issue as potentially needing a new radiator. They provided a very reasonable quote to replace it but also said they would do everything they could to avoid a full on radiator replacement. After mentioning the radiator was less than a year old they recommended I reach out to the shop that originally installed it for a warranty repair and advised on how to drive the 3 hours home safely. (The other shop ended up needing to replace the radiator) Ridgely Auto Care Center's honesty saved me hundreds of dollars. Although I didn't end up fully using their services, I can't recommend them enough.

I'm a new customer, but after my daughter got a second quote from them (and gave them the job), their honesty and integrity blew me away. They got two long-term customers that day!

Joe and his boys are the very best. Honest, fair and they will never tell you the vehicle needs something if it doesn't. If you are on a budget, they will find an affordable solution. When Joe was at another location, my alternator died (and i was young and poor then), he told me where to get a used one and had me on the road again for a fraction of the cost for new. I have followed him to this location and he always does a thorough inspection and gets any maintenance and repairs done correctly and on time. If you want a mechanical team with an honest heart and good soul, see them! Seriously. Because of him, my jeep g. Cherokee went 200k and my Toureg is at 100k and still going strong.

This place is really awful. I was moving from other state and needed to have a car inspection to get my Maryland license plate. I saw the positive comment online and that's why I drove 30 minutes there for the inspection. Although I have made an appointment with them, they told me the mechanist was not there and asked me to come back the next day. It was a busy day for them and I did see quite a few mechanists working in the garage. It was very likely that they just let the mechanist to serve more "important" customer and just simply disregard my appointment and my time. The second day I was back. Since within a month ago I had my car exammed completely before I moved to Maryland. I was pretty confident that there wouldn't be big problem. Even there is, it will be something minor and easy to fix. So when they told me my car has five major problems need to be fixed, I was stunned to see an estimated cost of 1200+ bucks. I have had my checked at least 3 times in the past 6 months from different auto repair places, if they are "major" problems, why did any of them discover it? Plus, the price for the part they charged was much higher that they worth. I felt like they just wanted to get money out of customers, especially like to take advantage of the policy of Maryland and rip off those out-of-states. If you want to visit this place, you'd better be cautious and careful.

I got my tie rods replaced here after i hit something. I've had this work done before so i had an idea of what it would cost. The estimate was less than I expected, and they had it done in less than 24 hours. They even threw in a coupon that I didn't ask for. I'll be getting all my future work done here.
