I live in St. Louis and got a flat tire on Saturday afternoon. I had it towed here and Les got it patched up and got me back on the road in no time flat. No pun intended. Great guy!
I set an appointment on line Friday for 7:30 Saturday, no one ever confirmed . I showed up at 7:30 and gave up at 7:50 the doors never were unlocked. Last time I had the oil changed, I was charged 180 dollars for basic oil change for full synthetic .
I can’t say enough good things about this shop! Their service is absolutely outstanding. Approximately three weeks ago I stopped in to get some shaking in my Jeep’s steering fixed. The gentleman there bragged how knowledgeable they are with Jeeps. I felt good, until I realized all they did was add on a steering dapper with clamp. That was not the underlying cause of the shaking. Three days later I get flagged on the interstate as the damper had snapped off the clamp. This job plus an oil change was around $500.00. I took my Jeep back so they could fix their work. Even though I was in no rush for my Jeep back, they took close to three weeks to get a new clamp and put it on, then charged me $191.00 extra. This was $291.00 with a ($100.00) discount. Horrible, disrespectful. At least I have my Jeep back finally. Be careful out there everyone, it can be hard to find a decent shop.

Les Marshall (Shop Manager) and his crew went well beyond customer care! They stayed late to get me running again! Greatly appreciate their persistence to find a starter solenoid issue!
My husband had an appointment for an oil change and muffler repair. Theu waited until 4:30 to call and say the oil change was done but they didn't have a welder in shop and could leave his truck and me the welder comes in on Thursday.... unprofessional and just wanted busy weather it was good for the customer or not. Won't be going back since the older employees left its gone downhill with time management.
$150 for simple oil change. Double the price of other places. No doubt I still have the invoice.my mistake the price was only $116.81 fair enough. Sorry about the misunderstanding.I would do business with them again.
Scheduled online appointment for 7:30 and no one showed until 8. Was told they dont have 7:30 appts because they dont open until 8:30…? Then quoted $130 for an oil change on a beetle w coupon and also no appts until 2:30pm.
I went to Davenport Iowa to visit my granddaughter and needed an oil change. I didn't realize I needed one that soon. These guys are awesome. They took me right away. Very polite. They didn't talk down to me and treat me like I didn't know what was going on. I am elderly so I appreciate it, their courtesy and the awesome job they do. I want to thank the manager. Great tire experience here! The guys here worked diligently to get my seized Lugnuts off of my tires. The communication and effort was great. I will be back from more services and referring them.
This place does not know what it’s doing past oil changes and brakes, if you need any real work done do not bring it here. Needed my car diagnosed they had it for 8 DAYS! When I called they said “uhhhhhh lemme check the status oh it’s spark plugs we’ll call you back with a quote” kept calling back for 3 days and they still didn’t have one. Walked in this morning asked for me keys and they didn’t say one word to me about my vehicle just handed the keys over. Didn’t ask why I was picking it up before the maintenance or quote didn’t even make sure it was my vehicle. This place is unprofessional and inexperienced with actual maintenance. Save your self the time and money and find another shop.
Went to the Northwest Blvd/Welcome Way location and Tyler and the crew couldn’t have been more helpful. They were tasked to diagnose my son’s cars electrical issues. They were very friendly and completely fair. That went well beyond the call of duty and we’re very much appreciate it! We’ll be back for future work!
When you bring your car in for service, there is so much anxiety surrounding timing, price, and depth of the problem. They had an excellent price, communicated extremely well regarding expectations, and finished FAR earlier than I could have ever expected. Shout-out to the mechanic Tyler who communicated with me super well and got this job done so quickly.
Brian helped me with my vehicle and he was very helpful. They started with a free inspection gave me a list of what I needed done. I only had money for brakes, they didn’t pressure me or try to upsell they did the job that needed done and gave me a list of things that needed to be done in the future and gave me quotes so I know what to save for in the future. Highly recommend this place trust worthy crew and I drove away with my car in better condition then when I brought it in. But again Bravo to Brian for his excellent customer service and his knowledge and advice!!!
On a road trip to Quad Cities when our catalytic converter shield fell down, dragging on the ground. Pulled into QC, and they took us right away even thought they were busy. They fixed the problem in 5 minutes, and did not charge us. Very friendly and I highly recommend them to anyone. Great service.
I dropped in one morning after dropping the kids at school to schedule an appointment for some repairs. Instead of doing the work in the future, they took my car in immediately, informed me of the repairs that needed to be done, helped me decide what repair was extremely necessary, then drove me home, while they did the one major repair. Less than four hours later, they called saying it was complete! Talk about fast!
After pay day the next week, I brought it back for the other repairs to be done. They said that they could start the repairs next morning and drove me home again. By the afternoon, it was done!
They are very fast, have great customer service, and are genuinely concerned about the customer. I highly recommend them.
QC Auto service is how i expect not just all auto shops but all businesses to conduct themselves.
Had purchased new headlight asembly units and asked if they would install them since you had to drop the bumper to replace and i don't have the space living at an apartment complex.
I was told over the phone they can do it , the labor charge , and to bring it by in the morning to take care of it . When most other shops i called said it was a body shop issue , and the body shops i contacted were either too busy , or wanted insurance information before continuing ( remember to replace headlights )
Upon arrival was greeted , taken care of promptly, and out the door in a little under 2 hours . They already had other vehicles they were working on and i was planning on being there a lot longer .
Great work , great communication, and shockingly enough .......... honest to goodness customer hospitality!
(Which imo has been lacking in many businesses in many industries)
Anyways, i say all these glowing compliments as a long winded way of saying if you're looking for an upfront business, that treats you great as a customer, without the games and feeling of being ripped off , then you should give them a try .

This is the auto shop that I regularly use for maintenance. This shop will do the regular maintenance such as oil changes and tire rotations as well as major maintenance such as transmission issues and door panel replacements. They usually have my car done in a day (depends on the issue it's having) which is part of the reason why I go to them. I also feel like the techs actually listen to me which can be rare considering I'm a woman. They're able to evaluate my car based on the history I've given them and give me their diagnosis of what the problem is. They have a very high rate of correct diagnosis for car issues. The staff overall is very welcoming and kind. They are willing to explain the inner workings of issues that the average person won't know which I appreciate. The main staffer behind the front desk is especially good at customer service and makes me feel very welcome in the shop. There have been times when the front desk person, Leroy, is gone and someone else is present. They're not quite as good at Leroy, and I usually wait until he's back to take my car in. In comparing this shop to the other mechanics and shops I've visited, I feel confident that the work on my car is done with quality rather than quantity.
I took my vehicle there around ten years ago. I was looking to get one of those multi-point inspection checkups on the car so if they found any leaks or issues, they could take care of it before it turned into a serious problem. I figured it was the proper thing to do for routine maintenance.
I remember I walked in and there wasn’t anybody at the front desk. I believe a mechanic walked through he waiting room. He stopped and asked if I had been helped. I asked him about doing a maintenance checkup, and wanted to see if he had any information that I needed to know.
Well, instead of taking the time to try to win me as a potential customer, he asked me in a very snotty tone, “well, is there anything WRONG with your vehicle?” Suddenly I felt like I had asked him the wrong question and needed to think quick on my feet to recover the conversation. I believe I rephrased my question with a little more detail than the first time I asked. I was really just trying to get information.
After my second attempt, the guy treated me with even more contempt and disrespect by telling me in his dismissive and snotty tone, “if there’s nothing wrong with your vehicle, then you don’t need to fix it.”
He walked off shaking his head without waiting for me to respond. I felt his tone and standoff-ish behavior was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. He may have been having a bad day, but I felt that I had done nothing wrong to be treated like that as a potential customer. I guess I could have spoken to someone else, but at that point, I just didn’t care anymore.
That was my first impression of QC Auto Service. I have never taken my car there since, and I will NEVER take my car there to get it serviced. They will never have my business. EVER. PERIOD.
Edit in response to the owner: Yes, this is a review about a visit from 10 or so years ago. The experience was so unprofessional, belittling and uncalled for, that I felt your company didn’t deserve a second chance. I felt it was an indication of how things operate with the company’s customer relations. I still feel that way to this day. And sensing a sarcastic tone in your response to my original review without any shred of apologetic language confirms to me that nothing has changed with your company.
So yeah, is that enough clarification for you?
Service Manager Scott Brownfield took great care of me. He communicated very quickly and gave me a great deal as well as making sure my vehicle was fixed properly. Great service and fair prices. I have taken all my cars here for years and never been disappointed.
I have always taken my car to QC Auto and they've never steered me wrong. They are extremely professional and knowledgeable across the board.
Recently, my car needed a ton of repairs and Scott was extraordinarily patient and even taught me some things along the way. His honesty, kindness, and professionalism is reason enough to trust him with all of my repairs and maintenance going forward.
I've been taking my truck to Joe for service for the last year. I found was getting harder and harder to get appointments at dealerships. My daughter and granddaughter were both going there for repairs, so I decided to try them. I wasn't disappointed they are knowledgeable and have very good people skills. Went here for an alignment, it was bad. After their alignment, my tires were rubbing on the mudflaps. Their first recommendation was to buy new mudflaps! Well, since I needed to drive it for a while, I removed them to have more clearance. My tires were then rubbing on the inner fender! This turned out to be the case on both sides of the vehicle. This definitely should have been noticed by a competent technician. Yes, I was eventually told to take it back to have them take another look. At that point however, especially because they couldn't get me in for days, I decided to not let them touch my vehicle again and get it done properly.
Update: Its understandable that things to do not always go as you believe they should, however how a company deals with those issues can make a huge difference as well. I received a call from Craig regarding my experience. He listened to and addressed all my concerns. I believe he went above and beyond trying to make sure that I was satisfied and happy as he resolved the issue. Great job on his part.
QC Auto has been my go to vehicle service shop for over 10 years. They always have the lowest quotes and great service. They will not overcharge or try to sell you service that your vehicle does not require. These guys are as trust worthy as they come.
