The lady that receives the cans and bottles is the rudest person I have ever dealt with at a business. I have been there twice and both times she was extremely rude and very unhelpful. I literally left my bag of cans and walked out.
If you don't like dealing with the public get a different job.
The worst company ever to do business with. I have read all the reviews and tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. My experience is as follows: 3 trips to the center. On the first trip, after 34 days without payment, I called to inquire about the issue. The very first question out of the lady's mouth was " Have you checked your mailbox today?". No attempt to help. The next statement was " I have only been at work for half an hour, let me turn on my computer ". 2nd trip was paid in 35 days. Both drop offs were around 7% short on payment. 3rd trip still waiting to be paid after 40 days and when I called to inquire I got an attitude from the lady again and when she could not answer my question transferred me to her boss who still could not answer my Simple question of when a check was issued. In-house policy is much different than agreed to policy. Good luck to you if you choose to deal with this company. Would give 0 stars if it would allow.
Lady that greets you is very short and seems like she hates her job. If it were me I wouldn't put such an unfriendly person at the door greeting customers
the place is very busy depends what day and time. i show the lady my driver id bc she can’t hear me when i say my name and address with all the noise and music playing. i don’t mind waiting for 30 days for a check. between i count my cans and bottles before i put in the bags. when i get the check sometime i get shorted. i know sign say no smash cans. i can’t help i found cans and bottles on the sidewalk, roads, playground park’s trash cans and even my job to. i wish people stop littering on the street, sidewalk, yards won’t have littering issues.
I stood around for 15 minutes waiting for someone to acknowledge that I was there. Numerous people walked by me and then when I was finally helped, the staff member that helped me was extremely short with me and also assumed that I wanted the cost of the bag taken off of the cans instead of asking me if that's what I wanted. I wanted to pay for the bag up front. The name on the check was spelled wrong as well and when I went back in to correct it, I was told it would be corrected but they didn't write anything down or change anything. I doubt it got corrected.
Horrible customer service. Lisa Hamilton who works at the front by the door is the rudest person ever. They have signs of we’re not to stack the bags of cans. I was waiting to ask were they are suppose to be placed and she told me common sense. Common sense makes no sense when there are numerous piles and I’m not sure if they are sorted by each customer or not. I will no longer frequent this place all bc this isn’t the first time she’s been extreme rude to myself and my husband.
My husband took in 6 bags of plastic bottles and was told to follow directions and so he did. Weeks later and we heard nothing. My husband calls them up today and they have no such record of our drop off! Now we are out the money we could use! 0 stars and won't use them again!
Recycled my cans October 4th and still waiting for a check...
Just go to HyVee or Walmart to recycle instead if you need the money. You have a bunch of cans and just want them gone, then this is the place to get it done.
I was able to bring in my cans and register them very quickly and efficiently. In all honesty the only complaint I could have is the amount of time that I had to wait for my turn, but that's more the fault of the guy who came in before me.
Good customer service. Didn't catch his name, but the guy who helped me was great. I arrived just outside of business hours and he still slipped me in. Thanks!
I took in 8 bags of cans and bottles. I was told to leave them and a check would be sent. Waited 7 weeks so far... NO CHECK. For some reason, my information has not yet been found in the system, but they "will look for it". Don't trust that the check will actually get to you.
Been trying to call for 2 days and your phone line has been busy. Do you have another number to call. I'm a manager at a gas station need to know if you guys are still picking up cans from my location
I have always used this place for can redemption. It’s very easy , you have to have your cans in clear plastic bags and if you don’t have those you can buy them right on site! Very affordable and so easy. I would prefer the dropping off and getting a check mailed to me method. They aren’t out to rip you off for your nickel and dime returns. Always had great experiences when I’ve been there.
The staff is very helpful and friendly. Doesn’t take long to receive your check either!
Had 15.00 in cans, sent me a check for 4.15 two weeks later, said most cans were non deposit, funny I bought 6 ,12 pks in Davenport Iowa at Save You More on Locust Street, the Best Choice Brand and also bought 14 , 12 pks in Cedar Rapids at Save A Lot, also bought more than a few Coke/Pepsi 12 pks from Dollar General on Kimberly Rd, Davenport Iowa, all Iowa 5 cent cans, my slip returned said Most from Save A Lot no deposit. What A joke!!!! I guess they got to get you some how to make money.
Like not having to stand in line and count cans. Drop off and the send you a check in about. Week. Very easy. Friendly staff. No limit just need to make sure in clear bags with cans separate from bottles
