Had my vehicle towed by them after an accident. Due to me being unable to pay the fees I lost everything in my vehicle. I was told by the police that I could get my stuff out of it but upon getting there I needed to pay the fees first. Totally uncalled for in the price for a half mile tow.
When no one could help me, Fred's Towing was there for me when I needed them the most.
Mariah was so nice and friendly, and Juan was professional and awesome. These folks were lifesavers, and I am so grateful for the prompt service that they provided, I highly recommend anyone to call them, I hope I won't need their service, but, if I do and I'm in the area again and need towing or locksmith services, they are the only ones I will be calling.

Automobile died in middle of street, had Davenport Police tow auto. Fred Towing showed up at 5:30pm and towed, called at 6:30pm same day (Friday) for bill it was $480.00, and was told that price was good for 24 hours and $60.00 per day after.
So I waited till next day ( Saturday) Showed up at towing company to pick up the auto at 8:30AM, and was charged $634.00.
Inquired about addictional fee, she started adding fees that doesnt make any sense, e.g. " open gate fee"

I wish I could leave negative stars. Fred's Towing towed my car after an accident on the 31st. I inquired the next day about coming to get some things out of my car that I needed. They told me I need to either pay the toll bill or have the at fault drivers insurance say they're going to pay the total before they can release any personal property. That's understandable, annoying, but understandable. I called multiple times asking if they have gotten the release yet. One time I called and a customer service representative told me they had gotten the promise of payment from the at fault drivers insurance, but I couldn't come get my property yet. I cannot remember the reason why. I think she said they had gotten a verbal confirmation but not a physical confirmation and they were waiting for that paperwork. She said she would call me when they get it and I could come get my personal property. I did not receive a call so a day later I called again asking if they'd received the paper saying the tow bill is going to be covered so I can come get at least my house keys. They could not find my car in their system. When they found it they said it had been picked up by another tow/auction company and I could call them and see if I can get my keys from them. I called this other company. They were very nice and found my keys and told me I could come pick them up. I went to get my keys and the employees there told me Fred's Towing was not supposed to release the car to them without my knowledge. They also told me Fred's Towing should have my license plate that I can go pick up. I called Fred's Towing to inquire about my license plate. They said they had it. And I could come pick it up the next day. When I called the next day I asked if it was still there and if I could come get it after the weekend. They were confused and didn't know if they had my license plate or not. They asked who told me we had your license plate. I said someone yesterday told me you had my license plate and I could pick it up. She responded "if we told you we have it, then we have it." I went today to pick up my license plate and they had no idea what I was talking about. They said they don't pull license plates and it would be at the other company with the car. Since it was the other company that told me about getting my license plate from Fred's towing, I don't think it was still on my car.
I understand having a car towed and being in an accident is never a pleasant experience, but Fred's Towing made it so much more difficult and frustrating than it needed to be.
If you’re in an accident, don’t have them tow for you! My son was in an accident & over $400 for a tow to their lot. Hard lesson learned for a young driver who wasn’t sure where to tow it to. Fees at $631 now 3 days later. Won’t even let him pick up work items in car until bill is paid. SOUNDS LIKE EXTORTION TO ME!

I am so glad I called Fred's for my towing needs. The communication with the dispatcher was very easy. Nevin called me promptly to let me know he was on his way and what his ETA was. I recently lost a Dear friend in a car accident, when my friends sister arrived from out of state she called me and asked me if I would go to Fred’s. We went to Fred’s and first we were greeted by Jerry. He dispatched the driver to come in and take us to the vehicle. Jerry was so kind and helpful. Nevin came in and escorted us to the the vehicle.

Car broke down while in town for a softball tournament. Called Fred’s towing, they showed up quick and were very helpful. Nevin (the driver) hauled our vehicle to the dealership, unloaded it, walked me into service to make sure I got checked in, offered a ride, etc. Excellent service from start to finish!!

Had my truck break down on 61 due to diesel truck gelling up. Talked to them and they were awesome. Even though the dot had it repo they worked with me and got my truck back smooth as can be. Greatly appreciate every worker there and the dedication they had on working me to not charge an arm and leg. They put a heater on it in the shop and got it going. Great company. Thanks again
They got to my son’s vehicle in a timely manner and dropped off to the dealership quickly. Nevin took very good care of it. Everyone was pleasant on the phone and communicated very well.
Had a great experience with Nevin and Fred's Towing in an unpleasant situation. My dads car broke down and we had to have it towed to my house to take a look at it. The team was courteous, helpful and timely. Nevin was really nice and even popped open the hood and took a look at the engine and made a suggestion. Turned out that WAS! the problem. I would have started looking in a different direction. I will definitely use Fred's towing when I am in a jam again. Nevin even honked the horn of the truck for my 3 year old. He loved it.
I had my very expensive snap-on tool box moved from 1 shop to another and I give the driver Nevin 5 stars he was very polite very knowledgeable and respectful. He treated my toolbox like it was his own. He strapped that thing down better than anybody ever has and when we got all the way across town none of my tools were even moved around in the drawer I highly recommend asking for Nevin if you need anything moved or towed ( Thank you again )
Was the only tow company place answering their phone during the snow storm last weekend. They were super quick. Only con was the price. I paid $300 for them to pull me out of the snow in a parking lot that I got stuck in. I've paid wayyyy less than that for an actual tow from one place to another. But what are you going to do when it's a snow storm? Nonetheless, I'm thankful that the guy working came in on his day off even when he didn't want to.

I had been stuck in the snow and waiting for another towing company for about three hours. Nevin showed up to tow someone else that was near me. All I had to do was call their office and get payment squared away and he got me unstuck real quick. Very impressed with their customer service.

I called today to schedule a tow. I spoke with Aime who was more than pleasant to deal with! I thought it would take forever, but she dispatched him right over which took less than half an hour. Nevin ( I hope I spelled that right) was our driver. He was so helpful, even cut his hand on my daughter's mini coupe trying to jump it. I felt so bad for him. Anyhow, he was such a nice kid! I don't usually leave reviews but I thought I would give kudos to these kids for their outstanding customer service. From the phone call to the delivery back to my house, they were nothing but professional! That kind of service is non existent these days! Keep up the good work, and give these kids a raise! 10/10 would reccomend!!!
I had a scary, rotten morning going to work when my truck decided it wasn't moving any further. I got the number for Fred's Towing from Choice Automotive. I was frazzled and worried. The woman I spoke with was very kind and found my location address before I could give it to her.
The woman said, a tow truck would be there in and 15 min. I was lucky enough to get a man named Cody. He was so caring for my dilemma. He said he'd do his best to not cause any further damage to my truck. You don't know what more might happen as it's being hooked up to tow. Cody attentively worked to position the tow bar . He took several maneuvers of the bar and raising and lowering of his truck 's jack thing to get it perfect. My truck lifted up together and strong.
We followed him to Choice Automotive and Cody waited until he was sure they didn't need him to back my car into a bay. He also made sure he handed me my keys back and even helped try and find my keys when I dropped them out in the parking lot.

Came from out of town to load up a skid loader from an auction that was inoperable. I was skeptical at first when they arrived with just a flat bed. Nevin was the driver and this guy was impressive. He definitely surprised me with his skill and knowledge. I did a similar scenario a year ago with a different company and it was a nightmare. Had a not at fault accident literally right beside my house. Needed to be taken to the shop because it was not drivable. If i would have known they were gonna charge me instead of the at fault driver i would have pushed it back to my house. Tried to collect payment from the not at fault driver (me) unprofessional and ridiculous. Also may i say we were still 3 minutes away from my house when i found this information out. Stay away with all costs this place should be out of business. They make it so much harder for everyone involved when in all reality they should make an accident better not worse. This isn't the first time this place has been hell to deal with wither
