New Years day my car breaks down at HyVee. Super guy came - Billy. He was super friendly. Did a fantastic job. I was so stressed out. I will tell all my friends to call Hanifen first. Reasonable price. Billy was so nice. Great customer service. Cant say that enough.

It's a holiday weekend, our small bus was stuck at an awkward spot (blocking the front entrance of a senior living apartment complex). I called Hanifen and they jumped to the rescue, turning an unpleasant situation into what actually turned out to be a great experience.
They brought one truck but upon closer look determined they needed a bigger truck (to lift the bus and disconnect the drive shaft so it could be towed). They got the bus out of the way and we had a great conversation throughout the process and at an unbeatably great price. I will 100% call them again (but hope I never have to)!

I was struggling to find a tow due to the storm this past week, called many companies before coming across Hanifen. The people on the phone were very polite, helpful, and got me in. I couldn’t be present for the tow but the driver (Nathan) communicated well throughout the process. Best customer service i’ve had with tow services. If I need a tow will use again.
had a great experience with them, called them after a big snow storm and gave us a time estimate for 3-4 hours and got a call back and came within 1 hour. i would ask for Lew, he was super nice and quick, service was awesome and pricing is great! definitely my to-go towing company!
These guys helped us out when my daughter's car broke down between Denver an New York. They're service was not only excellent, the driver and owner were amazingly considerate and attentive to our situation. I can't recommend Hanifen highly enough.
Timely service, Dispatcher was polite and professional. Driver was very angry and rude. Wasn’t happy with anything to do with his job. Basically called me a liar about my own semi. Charged $985 to go 26 miles. Didn’t want to drop trailer where I asked. Maybe he is just having a bad day.
I've used hanifens so many times and they never disappoint. Today they sent Devin to pick up two E350s for me and he was fantastic! I can't recommend them enough!

I was broke down in a snow storm and this young man showed up in minutes. My semi trailer slid off the tractor and he got me back on the road in no time and didn't charge me a dime. Best company ive ever used hands down. Amazing people . Highly recommend.
We used Hanifen to tow our semi truck from Iowa bondurant to the nearest mechanic shop . Although there was a very bad weather that day . We've got a tow teuck on time . The gentelmen over the phone was very nice and kept updating us on the ETA .BC the tow truck driver was amazing . Quick and efficent this guy should be awarded for what he is doing. Hanifen is providing an oustading customer service . Once again thank you for the good service and trust me i will share this feedback with all my truckers friends and owner operators .good luck nad happy new year 2023 !
They are very professional I got bound up in Des Moines and they hauled my suv in to council bluffs for me for a very reasonable price. Thank you folks for everything. If i ever need towing agin in Des Moines i will call hanifen back up and use them.
Our truck wouldn't start this morning and I called Hanifen for a tow. Nathan came out and before loading it up he double checked the battery and saw some corrosion. He got it jumped and going for us. Since everything was powering up I didn't even suspect the battery. Saved us so much in towing fees and mechanic fees and he was the absolute nicest person! I would never call anyone else for towing services.
Was south of Adel when the car broke down on the highway. A closeby towing company blew us off for a birthday party, so I called Hanifen. Very professional and polite. I would use them again. Adam the driver was exceptional.
My family and I were leaving to go to Omaha when we got a flat right outside Waukee. Since our insurance had JUST switched and we stupidly didn't have a spare, we needed a quick solution. Hanifen was the ONLY company that was willing to respond to our distress call on the side of the interstate (which can be scary at night). The owner was SUPER nice as well as his driver. They came through and helped us with our vehicle when we needed it. Would highly recommend these guys for professionalism and follow-through!
They are the "Get her done Guys" and always at very reasonable price. I sent him clear up in Northern Minnesota to pick up a large tractor that I bought from the government everything went flawlessly. Julie is a Doll to work with as are the Hanifen family and the rest of there crew. Unfortunately so many of us have had a real nightmare dealing with one of the worst towing companies I have ever seen in my 30 years as a commercial Truck and heavy equipment Dealer and that's The"Towing Tampons Tarts" of Crow towing. Yeah they actually towed one of my vehicles off my own lot, and thank God a friend seen it happening.

Hanifen has a new fan. I needed my car towed to the dealership for a repair. It was easy to make an appointment by phone. Zoe appeared close to my appointment time, assessed the situation, and did a careful job. She was even personable, which you don't always get from a tow truck driver. She delivered the car to the dealership and took care of the handoff without me having to go along, all for a fair, flat price. I would recommend Hanifen to anyone in the area.
We needed someone to tow our boat from a rental lot to a tire repair place because we had to take off a tire on our trailer with the boat on it. Hanifen towing said they could do it. Another towing company came and looked at it and wouldn’t do it. David Rue from Hanifen met me at the lot right on time. He looked at it and got to work promptly. I watched in amazement at his skill and patient work. He carefully got the boat on the trailer with three wheels on the tow truck. I thought at any moment it would fall over or have to be dragged, but David had awesome skill and it never even looked like that would happen. I will recommend Hanifen to everyone I know. 5 stars are really not enough! Thank you David and Hanifen for safely getting it on the tow truck and delivering it to the tire repair store!!
BC (Chris) with Hanifen towing was exceptionally helpful when getting a box truck moved out of the way and towing a large trailer across town. He went above and beyond to get everything taken care of. He was beyond professional and helpful. Ok definitely use this service again!!!!!
The Hanifen team is always very helpful and courteous. I have had to have my 1975 MGB hauled multiple times to and from the mechanics shop that I use and Hanifen makes it easy and convenient!! Great job!!
They were one of the companies I called to get a quote for a local tow. A 30 mile tow cost about $260, however that was from their business, to the cars location, back to my place. Very affordable, cheapest in central iowa and professional about it. The car was dropped off around the time I wanted it, and was a quick unload. 10/10 definitely coming back again.
My son was stranded in Des Moines on a college visit (from Illinois). They were quick to respond and were very helpful. It gives a parent a good feeling when their child (even an adult child) is taken care of. Thanks again!!!!
I backed my pickup off the driveway and high-centered on the curb with my front wheels 2 feet off the ground. Hanifen picked up the back end and got it back on the drive without a scratch. Great job and very professional. I highly recommend. Thanks guys.
I had my tool boxes towed, and every time I do I’m very nervous because I’ve had bad experiences. My driver was Sam and he went above and beyond to make sure they were not going to move or fall over. He got them to my house in one piece and was very nice and talkative. Will be using again!
