Went in for some major brake work and new tires, but they went the extra mile to make sure I don’t need to replace more than I actually needed to. Super transparent and great guys working there. They don’t try to push you to make a decision they want you to make for money. Extremely quick turnaround for diagnosis and getting your car back. Clearly just want what’s best for you, they truly care. Will do all my business here. Love these guys!!

Everyone here is incredibly nice! I don’t know much about cars, but they were very patient and took the time to explain everything. They were knowledgeable, professional, and got everything fixed in a timely manner. I really appreciated the great service!

Brought my son's 2017 Honda civic with 95k miles to Wray Automotive after having work done a couple weeks prior at Mavis in Buffalo NY over Christmas break (student at IU). Struts and shocks replaced at Mavis after going in for a low tire pressure issue. Son drove car back to IN and noted creaking noise and wobbly feeling upon arriving back (600 mi drive). Took into Wray, only to find that the new struts had failed, with poor quality with shoddy installation and tires were exhibiting dry rot with side cracks (Mavis said tires were good, although starting to cup but could be 'saved' with other unrelated work.) I felt uneasy at Mavis but was focused on safety and didn't have time to take to another shop so I had to trust them. Chris at Wray was awesome, called me to confirm strut failure and other related issues. I ended up doing a full workup with Wray -- struts, cv axles, new tires, etc. Chris provided full report and pictures that aided me in going to back to Mavis who after seeing the details, quickly offered to provide a full refund. Fortunately, my son did not experience an accident on the way back to campus -- things could have been much worse. I highly recommend Wray Automotive, especially for IU students as Chris takes the time to involve the parents and is focused on keeping cars up and running, honestly and professionally with warranties to back it up. My IU student’s check engine light came on so I searched and found Wray’s. They were able to get her in a couple of days later to assess the issue. I spoke with Chris via phone as we are out of state. He was professional, knowledgeable, and kind while telling me what we needed and even gave us a break on a couple of things. My daughter also said everyone was very kind to her. Excellent service! Wray’s will be our first call if she needs anything else while in Btown. Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough good things about Wray! They took excellent care of my college student when her older car broke down. They got her towed, diagnosed the issue quickly, and had her safely back on the road in less than two days. Chris and team were honest, ethical, and incredibly kind, explaining everything clearly and charging a very reasonable price for the work. As a parent, it meant a lot to know she was treated with respect and not taken advantage of. Highly recommend.

I am an out of state student at IU and my cars battery light was on and broke down while I was driving. I came here for a tow and a fix! They are absolutely amazing!! Had my car back to normal within 2 days! Couldn’t recommend any place more!

As a newly graduated student they were very attentive, informative, and honest throughout the whole experience. Was worried as a young woman I might get scammed but they were very reasonable, and explained everything I had questions about. They were also very fast, my car was ready same day with a damaged motor mount and need of new battery.

Wray Automotive goes above and beyond in service. I was visiting Bloomington recently when my car broke down. Chris at Wray tried to find me a tow truck since his was done for the day, but when he could not find someone else, he had his people come out anyway (thanks Sam and Stephanie who came out to tow the car). Chris had it diagnosed by the next morning and prioritized the repairs so that I would not have to pay for another hotel room. He had it done and ready to go by the end of the day. My son was having issues with his car, not sure other than a brake problem. My son dropped it off at Wrays and they got back with my husband the same day with the issues. Needless to say there were multiple problems. The gentleman that my husband spoke with was knowledgeable and friendly. We have dealt with Wrays in the past and had a great experience as well. If you have a child away from home and they need help with a vehicle I would highly recommend Wrays.

Found this amazing place after my son’s car broke down and asking for recommendations on FB. WOW!! Several people had raved about Wrays. Chris also sent me a message directly. After speaking with him, he met my son and the tow truck driver at the shop to make it easier for him. (The shop was closed for Labor Day!) He communicated with me several times and fit my son’s car in to be looked at and fixed between other appointments. He communicated with me and my son several times and made sure we knew what was going on. Great prices and great work!! The car was fixed and back on the road before I thought it would even be looked at! I can’t say enough good things about Chris. Will definitely use Wray’s again!

Best in the business, hands down. Got a total rear brake replacement (not just pads and rotors), new serpentine belt, and tires less than 36 hours after dropping the car off. Very communicative on estimates/pricing. Better quality and still cheaper than the chain guys in town. They also gave me an estimate on some work I'd need down the line that I was unaware of. Chris and the rest of the folks at the front desk are the best. These are my go-to mechanic in Bloomington.

Wrays has worked on a couple of my trucks and my son's previously. I bought a used truck recently that broke down after hours. Was able to get the truck to their shop diagnosed and fixed super fast. Reasonable price great service!!!

I came to this place because of the good reviews. I just needed my tire changed or patched. They were very busy and couldn't make an appointment at the time. However, they took the time to recommend a place. I'm from Kentucky, so I wasn't familiar with the area. They didn't know that. They just recommended a place where they could help me. Absolutely amazing service all around. I got a flat tire two days before I was supposed to go home for a funeral and needed to have the car fixed before thursday. My mom and I both called in a panic and Chris was nice enough to squeeze my car in. They ended up needing to replace the front right wheel due to rim damage. Had the job done as soon as the replacement wheel arrived and I was able to get home in time. If you're having car troubles with anything at all, come here.
