I have done business with them for 50 years. Mike Jones recently repaired the heat and A/C in my car did a great job at a reasonable price. I highly recommend them!

This place is THE place to go for radiator repairs! My 2007 jeep compass was in and out in 3 days for a heating core replacement. They even replaced the bad bushing. Spent about $750 to get it all done, which is a lot cheaper than anywhere else I had gotten a quote from. They're very kind and understanding, and handled my anxiousness about it very well! I'll be going back in a few weeks to get my cigarette lighter repaired/replaced.

Always does a great job for a fair price. My go to mechanic in town. Just got front and back brake pads and rotors on a 2018 suv for $400! The first place I called quoted me $450 for one set of brake pads.

Bob Jones and his crew are hard working, dependable, honest people. The shop has been permanent fixture as for back as I can remember. Mr Jones will work with you to complete the job at a price that works best for you.

This shop is either stealing, or simply not taking any responsibility for vehicles in their care. Our vehicle was in for a radiator replacement, and the next day we get a call informing us that our catalytic converter had been stolen. Conveniently, they have no security or cameras even though they admit it’s happened before. Charged us the full amount for the radiator work, and we’re sent off to deal with insurance and a $500 deductible. The most likely thief is the guy who has a garage full of tools to remove the catalytic converter, and has the car. Beware, a dishonest man runs this place.

Fixed my squealing brakes with no issue. They gave me 2 options. 1: file down the edges of the current ones (pretty new) which would help some and possibly resolve itself over time. This noise can sometimes happen if copper is in the brakes or 2: replace them with a lighter kind that would completely stop the noise. I went with the 2nd option as I couldn't stand the squealing any longer, even though it wasnt doing any damage. The problem was fixed and the cost was affordable/expected. Dropped my Jeep off in the morning and it was finished before 5pm the same day! Thank you guys! Also, lesson learned: have a go to guy for Jeep mods AND one for maintenance issues.

Had a piece of metal tubing smash through my grill and puncture the A/C condenser. I went to world wide motors and they quoted me $1200 to even begin to fix it and it may be upwards of $3000 when it was all said and done. Got the entire system repaired quicker than anticipated at Bob Jones for $700. I highly recommend them and their honesty.

They were very helpful and fixed my problem promptly. And for a extremely fair price. I will go back again

Good people doing good work for a good price. Highly recommended. Also pretty busy. Make an appointment. If you can wait it is worth it.

I brought my car in a few months ago because the AC was inconsistent - they correctly diagnosed the issue, charged me a fair price to fix it and the repair has held up. A different place in town charged me twice as much for a "fix" that only worked for a day! I did have to book an appointment a little while in advance but the wait was totally worth it. I'll definitely go here first next time!

Outstanding, old-school, repair shop. One of the last remaining trustworthy garages in Bloomington. Great, great guy and work.

Straight shooters, did a great job replacing my radiator, and was incredibly fast in doing so. The price was pretty good as well. I highly recommend.

I took my Jeep to them a few weeks ago to fix a coolant fluid leak. I was worried it would take a while to get the Jeep back. I had it in at 8am Monday morning, and had it back in my possession by 1pm Monday afternoon. Amazing service!! The repairs have held up well (hence the delay in the review) and I am thrilled. They were very professional from start to finish. They called me after diagnosing the issue, asked if the amount was okay, and then repaired it the same day. I highly recommend them. They are professional, skilled, and know what they are doing! Their prices are VERY reasonable and I would happily use them again and refer friends there. Thank you to everyone who works there!

Love this place! Had an electrical problem with my 2015 Subaru Impreza. Dealer said repair (labor and parts) would be approx $1200. When I complained that the car was only three months outside the warranty period, and well within the mileage limit, they said they would do it for half price as a "goodwill gesture." I then contacted an online Subaru repair mechanic for $14.95 and he told it was listed as 0.7 hours labor plus approx $200 in parts. So...I decided to get guaranteed used parts on eBay for about $55. I called this third generation shop someone had recommended and they had it installed in about an hour, for $75. Overlook their unimpressive building...what they save in overhead, you gain in reduced repair costs. And they do just about anything (doubt they do body repair). Plus they're honest, polite, and skilled...what more can you ask for?

I've been to several shops and dealerships in the area, some good, some not so good experiences. I have had consistently excellent experiences at Bob Jones Radiator. Like other reviews, I was not charged to have a frozen door lock thawed and cleaned, made fully operation this past winter. From heater cores and radiators, struts, and wheel bearings (all older vehicles), to jammed-up door locks and a fuel sending unit (tricky little fuel pump in the tank), all were addressed quickly and within a fair price range. This place was a great recommendation given to me by a coworker. I pass it on to you now.

I took my 2004 Jetta here because it had sprung a coolant leak. Within 3 hours they had discovered the issue - the water pump - but then came the awesomeness... They told me they couldn't fix it (it's a Volkswagen), but they gave me a recommendation of who could, then when I asked for the cost of the diagnosis, they told me $0 - it was free, even though it cost them time and money to do it. How great is that? Then, when I went to pick the car up to take it over to the new place, one of the rear tires was REALLY low, and they actually took the time to run an air hose out to my car so I could air up the tire! I'm so impressed with the service they gave me... especially considering I paid them $0 after it was all said and done.

Have had two absolutely HORRIBLE experiences at the Bloomington Ford dealership where we purchased our truck. Every time we had taken it in for an oil change, they came up with extra charges and problems costing thousands. Bob Jones Radiator and Repair has been so very helpful and honest to us. They have fixed every problem within a day of us coming in. They are the type of people who you feel like you can trust and talk with you like you are a friend. I highly recommend this place.

I have been taking work to Bob Jones since 1980 when I worked at Gary's Marathon on 3rd street. They were then and are now the only place to go for heater, radiator and air conditioning work. Bob's gone now his grandson Mike runs the business. Other than that nothing has changed great work at a great price. When I get the bill I always feel its too low. It don't get no better than that.

Mike will not take advantage of you. I restore classic cars and I've brought him things to "check out" (gas tanks, radiators, heater cores). He shoots you straight and I usually feel like he hasn't charged me enough when I do have things done. 5 stars!

I have just talked to them to get an estimate, and they seem like not trying to sell the unnecessary parts.. They are really kind.. Highly recommend them.

I was referred to Bob Jones Radiator Repair when the heat in my 2004 Dodge Stratus stopped working. I called and they got my car in first thing the next morning. Bob Jones replaced my thermostat housing and then correctly diagnosed that my water pump also needed to be replaced. This is an excellent shop that gets the job done right the first time! Friendly employees. Fair prices. Great work. Trustworthy mechanics who won't try to sell you anything you don't need. Highly recommend Bob Jones!

Just called these guys to see how much it would be to vac out my AC system so I can replace the condensor myself. Answer: "We don't usually charge for that." That's awesome. Since the guy was cool, I went ahead and asked them to check out the condensor problem and give me an estimate, because I'd rather not do this work myself.

This place is great! I had to replace heater core and some hoses in my Ford, and I got estimated price for labor a little over $700 from PepBoys, because they said, this work will take whole day and it's a lot to do. Bob John's service did the same work just for $240. I dropped car in the morning, and in the afternoon they already called me to tell it's ready, and heater works great now. Thanks to Bob John's service guys, they saved me at least $460!
