Dave and his team have seen every car my family has owned since I was a kid, including my own car now that I’m grown. Very honest, goes above and beyond to locate parts, and clearly explains diagnostics in a way that’s easy to understand. We’ve always trusted him with our vehicles and I drove back into town from DeKalb just to bring them my car. Highly recommend.

Worst mechanic shop ever. Estimates are ridiculously expensive. Poor communication, Dave does not seem to be a honest man, and hold your vehicle for days if you don't call them just for a diagnostics test. I will never return and I suggest everyone to be cautious coming to this shop. Estimate was almost 5k to replace a tourque converter on my transmission 2015 town and country mini van... I can buy a new transmission for that price, maybe even an engine smh. Just got off the phone with another mechanic, got a quote to replace tourque converter part and labor 950. Auto tech get it together! Stop taking advantage of people and answer your damn phones.

Phenomenal work by Dave and his team, very knowledgeable and prompt. They replaced the turbo charger on my Range Rover, great work guys!

This is the worst place that I've ever brought our vehicles there. You ask him what's the damages on the vehicle? Hihama beats around the Bush. He keeps your car for weeks at a time and tells my husband as a customer that we're not allowed. In that place, this place is a joke.Go find yourself some place else

They do excellent work as usual. My father went here and my mother and I go here. I left Nissan and came here. It was the best decision I ever made.

A misfire led to detecting a very early leak in the head gasket. These guys did hours of research & testing to find after hours of testing. Thank Auto Tech for all you did! I truly appreciate everything.

Dave is an honest man. He’s very busy but worth the wait because you can trust his word and his work. He spent a lot of time working on sourcing parts for me just to save me some money. He explains things thoroughly and you don’t have to question it. Went to Firestone across the street and had complete opposite experience, so go here not there!

Great shop. Took one car for oil change, during inspection found a few issues. All legit and valid finds. In some reviews persons commented on how Dave the manager is chatty, maybe listen because he's giving the information you need to base a decision on what services are needed and why. Dave prioritized repairs needed and the timeline as to when and why. I was kept informed of the process, even after hours! Service! I Just picked up my second vehicle from AutoTech that we had serviced there due to how well the first car went. An older vehicle that needed and oil change and some TLC and found it all at AutoTech!

They do a great job here. They have always treated me as a valuable customer, very honest and upfront about everything on my vehicle. They do good work, and never a hint of trying to upsell services. If I was staying in the area, they would have my business for a long long time.

Transmission failed and was able to coast into auto tech and transmission. From my first conversation with Dave I new I liked him. He is straight to the point and explained everything wrong with the transmission. They rebuilt it and so far so good. The price was right and service was professional.

Dave gave me a reasonable price to diagnose my car and look at the under carriage to see what's going on. Very nice, patient with my lack of car knowledge and seems trustworthy. He explained everything to me so I understood what could be going wrong.

Dave is one of the most friendly and honest person that I have met working in the car business. Every mechanic there is fully qualified and no matter what weird issue I bring to them with my car, I always leave happy and my car comes back in great condition with zero issues. As long as I live in this area I will be taking my car here. They also almost always have your car complete in around a week or so. Once again exceptional service from this place!!

Good people, good service. I have had them work on a 2002 Ford F-150, a 1999 Plymouth Voyager Minivan, and now a 2013 Mini Cooper. They have done good work for a good price. I've not had any red flags to believe that they have been dishonest with me.

This is the only place we go to have our vehicles serviced. Brian the owner has always been great to us and has even stayed late to help fix a vehicle that may be needed when leaving on a vacation the next day. We will continue to go here

I have been waiting for a jeep soft top to be installed for months. There was an issue with the parts ordered. Johnny the desk guy has the worst customer service I have ever seen before. He will hang up on your. All after making excuses as to why the job is not completed and place the blame on the customer. The job was paid in full and still not completed. I wouldn't recommend this company as long as this guy works there.

I have been doing business with Auto tech in Bolingbrook for years. They have worked on all my vehicles including my motorhome, and have always done a first class job for me! Brian went out of his way to correct a problem, and was even willing to work in the rain to fix it, but I wouldn't let him! Got it fixed when the rain stopped. Great customer service, nice people to deal with, five stars all day!

Got my 66 Mustang running amazing. I had Brian rebuild the carburetor, new starter, and wheel bearing as well as fix the electric choke. Never ran better. Thanks to Jim also. I will only bring my Mustang here,

We have taken at least 5 different cars here over the last 10-15 years. Everyone has always been friendly and given us great service and been honest with us. I recommend these guys to anyone who needs work done on their car.

Brought my 1950 Buick in for brake work. Got it back and manual transmission would not go into second gear. A young guy who professed to not knowing much about adjusting linkages gave it his best shot. Real nice guy. Driving it home would only go into second 15% of the time causing many problems. Very dissatisfied at this point since the car shifted fine when brought in. Taking it back Monday. I will post another review whether or not they fixed the problem.

December 2014 - I brought my SUV in for a whole list of repairs. It took a couple days longer to repair the car than we originally thought. (It was the middle of winter and a huge snowstorm hit, leaving them short-staffed.) Even so, I felt the time needed to complete all the repairs was reasonable. The work was decent, the customer care was excellent, and the were prices average for everything except the tires. In the future, I will probably get my new tires from a company that specializes in them I needed 5 tires (including the spare), and I was charged $275 each for General brand all-seasons, which were way over-priced for what I got because they are really noisy on the highway whenever I go above 60...which is always. (I log a lot of highway miles for work, so I may have to replace these prematurely because of the noise.) I could have gotten higher-quality all season name-brand tires that are speed rated for about $30 less/each from a place a few miles down the road, and even cheaper at Sam's. May 2015 Update - both seals I had replaced have blown. The alignment and tires are still good, but I'm pretty disappointed that the transmission and oil seal only lasted 6 months. (The transmission seal blew on the Tollway and I had to get towed because all my transmission fluid leaked out.) We moved to another state in January, so bringing it back to have them re-do it is out of the question; I'll be eating the cost to have it re-done by a local mechanic. Needless to say, I'm less-than-thrilled.

I have used Auto Tech and Transmission for many years for all of my vehicles including our RV. The guys have always done a great job and take ownership of any issues that come up. Had an alternator replaced that failed later and they warrantied the replacement with no fuss. I highly recommend Auto Tech and Trans for any repairs you may need.

Great service & great prices from an honest business. Can't ask for much more. I take multiple cars here, and all our family and friends in the area have started taking their vehicles here as well.
